Chapter 17

Telling Lies

"Oh no" Kagome said.

"What, what's wrong?" Inuyasha asked. He didn't see the big deal about her friends being there.

"My friends are here."

"So, aren't you supposed to be happy to see your friends?"

"Not at the moment. They are going to ask why you took me out of class and who you are and a million other questions I can't think of."

"Just answer them."

"It's not that easy Inuyasha. What am I going to do about you? You have to hide."

"Nope, I don't leave your side for anything."

"Onegai?" Kagome pleaded.

Inuyasha just shook his head.

"Can you at least change into the clothes from my time?"

"Fine, but that's it."

"Don't forget your hat." She shoved the hat onto his head and threw some clothes into his arm and shoved him in the bathroom.

Kagome went downstairs to meet her friends. She still didn't know what to tell them. Her shoulder was starting to hurt again.

"Hi, Yuka, Eri, Ayumi. Okaa-san can you get me some painkillers?"

"Sure Kagome. Why don't you take your friends to your room? I'll bring the pills up to you when I collect the dishes. Or are you not done eating?"

"I just lost my appetite."

"What about Inuyasha?"

"He's in the bathroom. I'll ask him when he gets out."

"Ok dear." Ms. Higurashi said as she walked into the kitchen.

"Come on you guys let's go up to my room." She was really hoping Inuyasha wouldn't do anything stupid while they were here.

As soon as they got to her room the questions were being asked.

"So, Kagome who took you out class? And why?" asked Yuka.

"Well…" was as far as she got before Inuyasha came bursting in the room.

Everyone just stared at him, everyone except Kagome. She was used to him acting like that. "Onegai, don't make a scene." Kagome said low enough for his ears only.

"Feh" Inuyasha said. He sat down on Kagome's bed next to her.

"Are you the one who took Kagome out of class?" Eri asked.

He didn't say anything. So, Kagome spoke for him. "He's the one."

"Oh well who are you?" asked Yuka.

"I'm Inuyasha." He said.

"Oh, why did you take Kagome out like that?" Ayumi asked.

"Well, she's always sick and she told me that she wasn't going to go to school." Inuyasha said.

"What does that have to do with throwing her over your shoulder and leaving?" asked Eri.

"She was just getting over a bad cold and she lied to me saying she wasn't going to go just to be on the safe side but she went anyway. So, I took her out of school."

Kagome was surprised by his answer. She had told him that she tells people at school she's sick instead of shard hunting but she didn't think he listened.

"Why would you care if she went to school or not?" Yuka asked. She didn't like how he acted as if he's known Kagome for his entire life.

"I'm her boyfriend." He said simply.

Now Kagome was even more surprised. She didn't think he knew what that meant, let alone say it to them.

"How long have you been going out?" Eri asked.

"Months." Inuyasha said.

"Kagome how come you never told us?" asked Ayumi.

"Well…" Kagome said.

"She's been sick. Besides I didn't want anyone to know about us."

"Oh, so that's why you always turned Hojo down." Yuka said.

Inuyasha started growling, "Never ever say that name in front of me again."

"What's your problem?" Yuka asked.

"He's very possessive. You'll have to excuse him." Kagome said while elbowing him in the stomach.

That's when Ms. Higurashi came in. She had Kagome's painkillers and drinks for everyone. "I didn't mean for it to take so long. I just thought I'd get everyone something to drink."

"Arigato Okaa-san" Kagome said.

"Arigato Higurashi-san." Everyone but Inuyasha said.

She left the room with Kagome and Inuyasha's dishes.

"So how did you guys meet?" asked Eri.

"Well, we met in a forest. I got lost and he found me." Kagome said.

"When did you go to a forest Kagome?" Ayumi asked.

"We went on a camping trip and I went exploring."

"Oh." They all said.

Inuyasha left to go downstairs to get something. That's when the `girl talk' started.

"He's cute. Look at his hair and eye color." Ayumi said.

"Yeah but he's got a bad attitude." Yuka said. "He's really possessive too."

"He's really nice once you get to know him. You just have to get past the barrier around him that's all." Kagome said.

Inuyasha went downstairs because he got tired of answering all of their questions and listening to their babbling. He was glad Kagome wasn't like that.

"Inuyasha why are you down here?" Ms. Higurashi asked.

"I got tired of their talking. They are really annoying. Besides I can tell Kagome's tired. She's not the type to be rude and tell them to get out."

"Well, just tell them that Kagome needs to change her bandages and get some rest. I'm sure that if they know she's injured they'll leave. If they don't I'll think of something."

He just smiled at her and nodded. He was about to go back upstairs when she handed him something.

"Here take this first aid kit. She really should change her bandages. Would you mind changing them? I have to pick up Souta from his soccer game."

He nodded and took the first aid kit and headed back to Kagome's room.

"Kagome I have to change your bandages." Inuyasha said as soon as he opened the door.

"You got injured. How?" They all shouted at the same time.

"I was attacked by an animal at the forest I met Inuyasha in."

"Are you ok now?" Yuka asked.

"Hai, I'm fine. Inuyasha has been taking care of me."

They all looked at Inuyasha. They didn't take him for the caring type. He was Kagome's boyfriend though.

"Maybe we should go so Kagome can get her bandages changed. You should get a lot of rest Kagome. Call me if you need anything." Eri said. "Don't get up we can fiind our way out."

"Ja ne." They all said.

"Ja ne." Said Kagome.

As soon as she heard the front door shut she flopped back on her bed. She hissed as she hurt her arm while doing so. "Itai"

"Baka, you can't be doing stuff like that." Inuyasha said while sitting on the bed.

"I'm just glad they're gone. I mean I like it when they come over they just picked a bad time." Kagome said. She then yawned.

Inuyasha just crawled over her and straddled her hips.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome said.

He just smirked and kissed her. She responded immediately. He grabbed her chin to make the kiss deeper. He kissed her so passionately her head was spinning. None of his kisses had been like that.

As usual the kiss didn't end until they ran out of breath. Inuyasha just smirked. Her lips were swollen and her face was flushed.

"Your bandages need to be changed." He said while getting off of her.

"Huh?" was all she could get out.

He helped her up. "Your bandages need to be changed." He said again.

"Oh" this time Kagome heard him. She needed her bandages changed. `Wait, that means I'll have to take Inuyasha's hoari off.' She thought.

She wasn't wearing anything underneath it. She had never gotten the chance to change. As soon as they got to the village they told Kaede what happened and left.

She turned red, as red as Inuyasha's hoari.

"What's wrong?" Inuyasha asked. He knew what was wrong, he just wanted to tease her.

"Nothing" She muttered. "Where's Okaa-san? I'm sure she wouldn't mind changing my bandages for me."

"She asked me to do it because she had to pick up Souta up." Inuyasha said.

"Oh"

She turned around so that her back was facing him. She untied the hoari and let it slide down her shoulders.

Inuyasha just watched as she took off his shirt. He walked over to her and sat down behind her.

"This might hurt." Inuyasha said. He hated to have to hurt her but he didn't want to risk her getting an infection.

He cut the bandages off with his claws. He could hear her hiss at the pain. He peeled off the bandages and threw them on the floor.

"Kagome your going to have to face me so I can put them on."

"Do I have to?"

"Hai."

"Fine, but don't look." She turned around but kept her eyes closed and her head turned away from him.

He put the bandages on her. He wasn't looking unless he couldn't help it. Kagome needed to get better and it wouldn't help if she was mad at him.

Kagome just kept her eyes closed. She was too embarrassed to look at him. She just let him bandage her up hoping it would be over soon.

Inuyasha watched her face. Anytime he brushed against her breast she turned a brighter shade of pink. By the time he was done she was as red as an apple.

He grabbed her chin and said, "Why are you so worried? We're mates."

She just kept her eyes closed and said, "Don't you have to actually mate though?"

"Hai."

"But we haven't mated." Kagome said. Her eyes were still closed.

"I know but I was going to wait until you were ready."

She opened her eyes and looked at him.

"What did you think I was just going to take you? I may be a hanyou but I'm not an animal." He said

"I didn't think you were an animal." Kagome said. She had forgotten that she was just wearing bandages.

He just kissed her. It was gentle but firm. He laid her back down on the bed. He licked her lips to take the kiss deeper. She opened without any hesitation.

He released her lips to catch his breath and let her do the same. He started kissing and nibbling her neck. He got to his mark and sucked on it. He bit down on her neck to renew his mark.

To his surprise Kagome let out a moan. He smirked in satisfaction and started kissing her neck again.

Kagome didn't know what to do so she started rubbing his ears. He started growling and sucked harder on her neck.

"That's twice now I've caught you in this position."

Please Read and Review. I didn't think I was going to be able to update this weekend but I did. I tried to make this chapter a little longer because the chapter I wrote yesterday was a little short. I got back from my mom's a little earlier than I expected so I decided to update. Arigato to the people that have already reviewed or are going to review. Oh, if you could point out which chapters have errors in them that would help out a lot. Ja ne.
