Chapter 27

Shippo's Escape

Inuyasha woke up feeling like crap. He didn't remember falling asleep all he remembered was Kagome and Shippo got kidnapped. He sat up, well tried to. He tried moving his arms. He was tied up.

"MIROKU!" Inuyasha yelled.

Miroku walked into the room where Inuyasha was being kept. "Ah so I see you've woken." He said. Sango and Kaede walked in after him and sat down.

"What the fuck are you doing? Untie me right now."

"We cannot do that until we have a plan or your youkai blood returns."

"Miroku you wait until I get out of this rope. If anything happens to Kagome OR Shippo I'll kill you."

"I'm aware of that. But don't think you are the only one who cares for Kagome-sama and Shippo. We want them back as much as you do."

"He's right Inuyasha. From what you have been saying about Hojo he wouldn't hurt Kagome." Said Sango.

"I'm sure they are both ok. Kagome knows how to put up a shield and heal herself. As long as she doesn't exhaust herself she should be safe." Kaede said.

"That's just it. Kagome's been tired for the last couple of days. Why do you think we were coming back?" Inuyasha said.

"Let's not argue about it now. We need to think of where she could be or be going." Miroku said. "Don't worry Inuyasha you were out for most of the night. Sunrise is coming soon."

"That kind of talk won't save your ass bouzo. Think of a plan and I might go easy on you."

Kagome and Shippo were still in the cave. Kagome had been thinking for at least a couple of hours now. She couldn't think of anything. Maybe Shippo had thought of something.

"Shippo have you thought of a way to get out of here?" Kagome asked.

"No. I can't think of a way to get us both out of here. I've been thinking for a while too. You haven't thought of anything?"

"No. I've been thinking this whole time too." Kagome then got an idea. "Shippo I might have an idea for you to get away safely."

"No, I don't want to leave you Okaa-san."

"Shippo we don't have a choice. Now listen up. You can make copies of yourself right?" He nodded and she continued. "Ok I'll run one way with a copy of you with me. As soon as he starts chasing me you run back to the village."

Shippo nodded.

"When you get to the village, tell Inuyasha and the others where I was. Tell them that I'm ok. More than likely that youkai will take me away when the morning comes. I'll try and leave little hints of where he is taking me next. I'll leave an arrow in the direction we went. Ok?"

"Ok Okaa-san. When do you want to do it?"

"When it gets a little darker. Now when I start running make sure he is chasing me and that you have enough time to get away. Don't look back no matter what. Change into your pink balloon form if you have to."

"Hai, Okaa-san."

"Let's wait about another hour. Then it should be dark enough."

Inuyasha was still in the hut tied up. They wouldn't untie him for anything. So far they hadn't come up with anything. They stayed silent. Inuyasha just kept sending murderous glances at Sango, Miroku, and even Kaede.

"Inuyasha those looks aren't getting us anywhere closer to finding Kagome." Kaede said.

He just looked away. He hoped Kagome and Shippo were ok. If Shippo was with Kagome then he was almost guaranteed to be safe. Who knows what Kagome would do to protect him?

He just kept thinking about her. Trying to calm himself down enough so he could think of a plan. They had just become a family and someone was already trying to rip them apart. They would pay. No one takes what belongs to him.

"Ok Shippo. I think it's time to put our plan in action." Kagome told him and stood up.

"Hai, Okaa-san." Shippo pulled a leaf out of his pocket and made a copy of himself.

"Good job Shippo. Now you wait here. Remember don't look back." Kagome then grabbed the copy of Shippo and walked to the front of the cave.

Hey where the hell do you think your going?" They youkai walked up to her and grabbed her arm.

Kagome took a deep breath. She hoped she didn't get hurt too badly for doing this. She took hold of the hand that was on his arm and burned him with her miko powers and took off running with the copy of Shippo.

Shippo saw what she did. He hoped the youkai didn't hurt her for that. He saw the youkai go after her. He ran to the mouth of the cave and looked. They looked far away enough to make his move.

He transformed into his pink bubble form and flew towards the village. They couldn't have gotten far. He just hoped his Okaa-san didn't get hurt.

The youkai finally caught up to Kagome. He tackled her to the ground. He wrestled with her.

"I thought I told you that if you tried anything funny I would hurt your son." He said.

"Go ahead and try it." Kagome said still struggling to get free.

He grabbed the kitsune only to have him disappear in his hands. "What the hell?" He looked at Kagome. "Where did he go? You did that as a distraction to let him get away didn't you?"

"Like I would let you lay one hand on him." Kagome said. She managed to push him off of her. She got up to run again.

He grabbed her arm spun her around and slapped her. She fell to the ground. Her hand went straight to her cheek. It stung badly. She was going to have a bruise later on.

"Don't get stupid. I could hurt you a lot worse than that." He picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. She just pounded on his back ignoring the pain in her cheek.

He rubbed her thigh. She stopped and tensed. She kneed him in the stomach and jumped off of him. "Hentai!" She screamed.

He just laughed at her. "Now is not the time to be trying to attack me." He grabbed her arm and started dragging her back to the cave. He wanted to get a move on. The kitsune had gone, probably to get help. He needed to go back to the cave and gather his things.

Kagome was just praying that Shippo would make it there soon. Who knew what this youkai would do to her. He had already hit her and he tried to molest her too.

"So who is your master?" Kagome asked.

"Well he wanted to surprise you but the look on your face says you already know or at least have an idea. My master is Hojo." He watched the expression on her face turn into panic. "Ah so you did know who it was."

Kagome was right. It was Hojo. She was going to give him a good slap when she saw him. She was still scared of seeing him though. He seemed really pissed at their last `meeting' they had.

Didn't he say she was going to get punished? She was definetly not looking forward to their meeting. He had been able to bruise her wrists in her dream. She didn't even know how strong he was.

Inuyasha was still in the hut. No one had come up with anything yet. No one had even said anything. They were just sitting there.

Inuyasha was laying on the ground with his hands tied behind him. They had even bound his feet. Sango and Miroku were leaning against the wall next to the doorway. Kaede was sitting against the wall next to them.

Everyone looked at the door. They could hear something. It sounded like sobbing or screaming. They couldn't tell. All of a sudden something ran through and rammed into Inuyasha.

Inuyasha was thrown to the wall behind him. He let out a grunt and looked at what ran into him.

"Shippo." Everyone yelled.

Shippo hugged Inuyasha with all his might while everyone asked him different questions at the same time.

"Are you all right?"

"Is Kagome hurt?"

"Who did this?"

"Where's Kagome?"

He could barely hear any of the questions clearly. He just kept himself buried in Inuyasha's haori.

"Will you shut the fuck up so he can explain what happened. Shippo can you untie me?"

Shippo nodded and undid the knot that held his hands together. Inuyasha untied his feet and put Shippo in his lap.

"Ok what happened." Inuyasha asked.

Shippo explained what happened and Kagome's plan. He then told them how Kagome was going to try and lead them to where she was.

"Okaa-san told me to tell you not to worry. She said that he probably wouldn't hurt her."

"What happened after you left did you see?" Inuyasha asked.

"No Okaa-san made me promise not to look back once I left."

"She probably was going to do something she didn't want you to see. I hope she didn't use all her energy on purifying his arm." Inuyasha said.

"I think I have a plan now. It's not much but it's a start." Miroku said.

"Why don't you tell the rest of us? We're not mind readers you know." Inuyasha yelled.

"Well I was thinking that we wait until your youkai blood comes back. Then Shippo could lead us to that cave and try to see if you can smell them or if Kagome left any clues and follow that."

"That was an obvious plan Houshi-sama." Sango said dryly.

"Well as long as it was said and everyone knows what we're doing."

Inuyasha threw a bowl at his head. "That's only the beginning of my payback. Let's go."

"But we should wait until sunrise." Sango said.

"I don't give a damn about what we should do. I'm saying we are leaving now. If you want to wait until sunrise then be my guest but I'm pretty sure that Shippo would like to leave now and find Kagome."

Shippo nodded and jumped into Inuyasha's arms. He wanted to find her as soon as possible. He was worried about her.

"Well let's go then." Miroku said. Sango nodded and grabbed her weapon and Kagome's pack. They left the hut with Shippo leading the way.
