Chapter 3::
Inuyasha thought it weird to see himself crying. Who wouldn't, everyone thinks he is a sour puss! He looked at his image weeping and thought 'If this keeps up we will ruin each others image.'
He thought of the body he was in, Kagome's body. He thought of something that might cheer her up. Looking at Kagome he cracked a smile and looked up and his own face.
"You know, these clothes seriously don't match my personality," he said trying to make her laugh.
It had worked and she replied, "You're right. Jerks shouldn't were green. It's a happy color." She smiled.
Inuyasha returned although his thoughts were different. 'Jerk? She thinks I am a jerk?' He remembered all his insaults towards her. Then he figured he deserved that.
Kagome sat silent with him then she looked down at him. "I know how to fix this," she muttered so suddenly Inuyasha almost didn't catch it, even with his keen hearing.
She stood and grabbed his hand jestering him to follow. He complied and went with her back to Kaede's hut. Once there the other's looked at them curiously. Shippo jumped into his arms. He scowled down at the little kitsune when he relized he didn't know the the Kagome he saw was really Inuyasha.
"Yay! Kagome! Can you play with me now?" said the fox demon with a perky little playful voice.
Inuyasha's warmer figure next to him said softly, "Not now shippo. Me and Kagome (there was an odd crack in her voice at her name) have to talk to Lady Kaede."
Shippo looked over at what he thought was Inuyasha and stuck out his tounge then turned back to his make-believe Kagome with a pout leaving the real Kagome shocked. "Please please please?"
"Inuyasha (wierd indifference in voice when he said his own name) already said no you little runt," he replied and dropped the shocked fox down on the floor.
Together they walked into the kitchen where a suspecting Kaede stood making medicines for sick villagers. She turned when she heard the two enter and said thier name's as greeting.
"Why was Kagome so mean?" he asked tearfully.
Sango went over to comfort the poor little child and said, "We don't know hun, but it's ok."
Kaede went on with her explaination, "Ye can only switch back with a selfless emotion. Ye must share each other's feeling and know each other's hurt. Ye must show each other selflessness. Do ye think ye can manage?" Keade looked meaningfully at him in Kagome's body. He nodded as did the figure of himself beside him.
Kaede looked satisfied and then continued, "Ye have until the end of tomorrow to return to each other's bodies or ye's fate will be sealed in each other bodies." She surpressed a mischievous grin thinking, 'A little white lie will hurry it all up some. It won't hurt a thing.'
Inuyasha and Kagome's otherselves were looking worried each thing nearly the same thing, does the other feel the way I feeel for him/her? They were soon to find out.
As they asked Lady Keade if they could stay another night the sun slowly set and they sleep fitfully after the tea and noodle's Keade made for supper.
"Wake up, we need to go," he said softly into his own ear. He watched as his eyelids fluttered open and focus on him. The soul inside was adjesting as she yawned and stood, allowing him to take her away to the woods.
His body looked concentrated and alert as the girl inside pondered what the old miko had said. "I am thinking we must not fight for a while and if we can do that we will be succesful in gaining our bodies back," she assumed.
Inuyasha was thinking pretty much that although he was pissed that the old hag had done this to them. He nodded in agreement with the young priestess.
"But how," she said quietly. "We know very well that all we do is fight. How can we keep from it." She looked up into the clouded sky then fell backward. She pointed at an oddly shaped cloud and said, "That one looks like an airplane."
Inuyasha looked at her like she lost but copied her lying back and staring at the clouds.
"And that one," she said pointing to another cloud, "looks like the tetsaiga."
He looked over and noted how it hardly resembled his weapon. They identified clouds for the next hour and a half until Inuyasha got bored and sat up.
He looked at his body and sighed wishing she was in the body he had. "I can't do this Kagome," he said.
"Well it is actually rather a smaller kid thing or something boyfriend and girlfriend do." She said this before realizing what she had done.
Inuyasha gazed at her, "Boyfriend? Am I not a boy who is your friend?" He was hurt. She didn't even cinsider him a friend much less a... 'No Inuyasha,' he thought, 'don't do this now.'
Kagome looked upset, "Inuyasha, I didn't mean... well... I mean, of corse I am your friend. It's just a boyfriend, well, it's hard to explain." His body looked at him and he felt an odd shiver thinking that he was actually her. It was just so strange.
Inuyasha looked at her expecting an explaination. She sighed finally and figured the best way Inuyasha would understand. "Inuyasha, to be a boyfriend is the first step to marriage," at his puzzled look she figured he didn't know what that was either, "or in your case becoming mates." She paused. Inuyasha thought how nice it would be if they were mated. Realizing the path his mind took him he shook his head willing her to go on. "So it pretty much means your are promised to be mated."
Inuyasha let this roll through his head. Then he said quietly, "Am I your boyfriend?"
Kagome was shoked by this question. "Only if you want to be," she said softly before she realized it. He looked at his form but for some reason he didn't notice he was staring at himself. He moved closer to her and said even more qietly than before, "But do you want to be?" He noticed the blush creping through the emotionfilled face as it slowly nodded.
That is how, just as a beautiful sunset took over the scenery, the hanyou and miko shared their first kiss. Before they could even stop for breath they were back in thier own body. Each holding the other so as to keep the moment forever.
A/N:: Ok everyone on cue now! AWWWWW!!! Isn't it sweet when you see them show feeling?
Okay I still have chapters coming so keep up with me!!! This was only to cloud their minds for things yet to come!!!

Miroku and Sango exchanged befuddled (new word by me meaning confused) glances while Shippo rubbed his sore behind with slow tears running down his cheeks."Why was Kagome so mean?" he asked tearfully.
