Chapter Four- Inuyasha Learns About Soda

Kagome just stared at Inuyasha in shock.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Kagome screamed at the top of her lungs.

Inuyasha had to cover his ears. They felt as if they were going to burst.

"Shut up!" Inuyasha screamed back.

"No I'm not going to shut up! Some stalker guy shows up INSIDE my house, RIGHT NEXT TO ME, and expects me not to scream!" Kagome yelled back.

'What is this stalker?' Inuyasha thought.

Kagome took off outside so that if he decided to harm her, at least she could run away.

She darted off into the woods hoping to lose him.

Inuyasha was jumping across trees right next to her.

"What are you doing?" Inuyasha calmly asked her.

"What does it look like I am doing? I AM RUNNING FROM YOU!" Kagome yelled back.

"You are going to have to run faster than that then." Inuyasha said. "But I wouldn't leave my hut unattended like you did."

'Hut? I don't have a hut.' Kagome thought.

Kagome came to an abrupt halt. She stood there and crossed her hands on her chest. 'He must be talking about my house!' She thought.

Kagome looked back the way she came and took off back towards her house.

Inuyasha was still running on the trees when he realized that Kagome was not with him.

"Where did you go woman!" Inuyasha said. Thinking she was close by.

He smelled the air. 'She must have taken my advice and gone back to her hut.'

He ran after her.

Kagome made it to her house and found that everything was still in order. 'Thank goodness!'

Inuyasha came in to see Kagome resting on the couch. 'Did she forget about me?!' Inuyasha thought angrily.

Kagome looked over when she heard someone walking toward her.

"EEEEEEK!" Kagome yelled. "I forgot about you!" She said.

"What?! How could you forget about me!" Inuyasha yelled back.

"I don't know! I was worried about the house!" Kagome yelled back.

"Get out of my house!" Kagome screamed.

"The door was open!" Inuyasha said back.

'Oh I guess I forgot to shut it.' Kagome thought. 'You know? This guy is really cute! How did I have the luck to get a hot stalker?' Kagome thought in sarcasm.

'What is she doing?' Inuyasha thought, 'It looks like she is checking me out!' Inuyasha started blushing and looked away. 'She looks too much like Kikyou.'

'Did he just blush?' She thought, 'Maybe he's not so bad. I mean he hasn't done anything yet.'

Kagome smiled warmly. 'My instincts are not telling me to run away from this man, and he has been standing there for almost 5 minutes and hasn't said a thing. He might not be all that bad after all.' She thought.

'Why is she smiling?!' He thought.

"May I ask your name?" Kagome said as she walked behind him and closed the door.

"It's, It's, Inuyasha." He finally got out. 'Why am I flustered? Kikyou is the only one who does that to me.' He thought.

"Oh ok Inuyasha, would you like something to drink?" Kagome asked. 'Kagome you are being too forward! He tried to kidnap you!" She thought, 'But he brought me back! He can't be all that bad.' She argued with herself.

"No." Inuyasha said shaking his head.

"Ok then, if you don't mind I'll be getting one." Kagome said, smiling again and walking back into the kitchen. She came out with a glass of strawberry soda.

Inuyasha couldn't help it. He walked up to her and started sniffing the substance inside. All the little bubbles fizzing made him sneeze. (Away from the soda)

Kagome couldn't help but laugh.

"Have you not seen soda before?" Kagome asked.

"What is soda?" Inuyasha asked back.

Kagome stood there with her jaw on the floor. "Here." She managed to get out as she handed him the drink. "You have this one and I'll get another one. You HAVE to try soda!" she said happily.

"I told you I don't want any." Inuyasha said even thought his curiosity eventually got the best of him. He took the glass and sniffed all around it, under it, inside it, getting another sneeze from him.

Kagome heard this and giggled in the kitchen.

"What's so funny Kagome." Inuyasha said.

'He remembered my name?' Kagome thought. 'He definitely could not be that bad if he remembered my name.' She thought.

She walked out into the living room to find Inuyasha not there. 'Oh great, he's gone. So much for my luck.' She thought. Kagome looked over to find the door slightly open. She stepped outside and saw Inuyasha sitting on the shrine steps.

"I don't like being in huts. It is nicer outside." Inuyasha said.

"I agree. It gets so stuffy when you are in a house for a long time." Kagome said.

Inuyasha took a drink of the soda and looked at it with saucer wide eyes.

Kagome laughed at this. "Do you like soda, Inuyasha?" She asked giggling some more.

"Yes." He said as he took a big drink of soda.

Then it happened. Inuyasha belched. This was past burp.

Kagome looked at him in surprise and started laughing again.

"What?!" Inuyasha said blushing from embarrassment.

"Oh nothing." Kagome said back.

'Inuyasha, you have got to realize that I can't have feelings for you when you are a hanyou.' Kikyou thought as she stood outside the shrine.

'I have to make you human with the Shikon Jewel. There is no other way.
