Stuck With You

Chapter 3: Is he dead?

Nobody expected Ranma to actually loose to Inuyasha, but they were all wrong. "The winner iiiis Inuyasha!" said Yura cheerfully. Everyone clapped and some people cheered.

Inuyasha was leaning on the side of the ring when he felt something or someone tugging on his clothes a bit. He looked down to see who it was. It was just a little boy who used to be one of Ranma's greatest fans. He had black hair and looked a lot like that Mizuho girl.

The little boy smiled cutely. "I have a new hero! I bet you can't guess who," he said. `Oh god,' Inuyasha thought horrified.

"Oh Souta!" came a voice through the crowd. Kagome walked towards him. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you ever since I heard you weren't sleeping in the castle like you were supposed to! You know you weren't permitted to see the tournament since it would be way too gory for you."

"That's my sis! I uh got to go. Bye Inuyasha!" he said and happily went toward the voice that called him.

All of a sudden, Yuru's perky voices boomed out, "Ok! Time for out next fight!" Everyone scurried back into their seats. "It's going to be Inuyasha against Kouga!" The audience clapped and cheered. This was going to be a good fight. Inuyasha and Kouga were just about equal in their fighting skills.

Inuyasha looked his opponent up and down and smirked. He had long black hair in a tight ponytail and wore a weird skirt that looked like it was made from wolf fur. Kouga also had a disgusting scent, much like that of a wild dirty wolves and pointy ears like an elf. He was a wolf demon alright and no mistaking it. "Gee, you think they'd give me someone CHALLENGING for once," Inuyasha said arrogantly. All he received was a glare from Kouga and a bunch of Kouga's fans. Also one from `Mizuho'.

For some unknown reason, the death glare he got from that Mizuho girl had a strange effect on him. He couldn't quite put his thumb on what type of feeling it was. Inuyasha shook his head slightly to clear it and took battle stance. Dense him didn't even notice that `Mizuho' was sitting in one of the main throne chairs.

"Well, let's get this over with. I've got better things to do," Inuyasha said. Kouga looked up at Kagome and sent her a boyish smile before getting into battle stance himself.

"And...... START!" shouted Yuru's voice over all the chatting in the audience making everyone quiet down and turn their attention to the match.

Inuyasha, as usual, lunged himself to attack Kouga, but Kouga dodged Inuyasha's claw and took his hand back and prepared to punch Inuyasha hard. Inuyasha just barely managed to dodge in time. `He's faster then I thought he would be! Maybe even faster then me!' Inuyasha thought surprised.

Kouga sensed that Inuyasha was surprised at his great strength. He smirked as he took his hand back to punch him again. Inuyasha, once again just barely managed to dodge. Kouga tried to punch him again really quickly, testing Inuyasha's speed. Inuyasha wasn't able to fully avoid the attack and Kouga's fist connected with Inuyasha's arm. Inuyasha's arm fell limply to his side.

`Kuso! My right arm's broken! I can't even move it!' Inuyasha thought. To him this tournament wasn't about the money any more. It was all about the competition. Well, he still had his left arm. Still, he was right handed and his left hand was a lot weaker then his right hand. But he had to beat Kouga or else he would end up like Ranma and have his pride damaged. Yep, that was Inuyasha all right. Didn't care about anyone or anything in the world but his own pride.

Kouga was headed straight for him with his foot heading for Inuyasha's face. `Ack, my face! It's too beautiful to be kicked!' Inuyasha thought and dodged to save his `oh so lovely' face. Kouga didn't expect him to be that fast, but it's not like Inuyasha wanted his face to get ruined anytime soon. He had to do it.

Here was Inuyasha's chance. He grabbed Kouga's leg, flipped him over his head and threw his hard on the ground. To Inuyasha's surprise once again, Kouga got right back up, only slightly damaged by the force of the blow. Hey, Kouga had pride too! He didn't plan on loosing it anytime in the near future either. So that was it. It was a fight for pride, not for the money or the princess. Boys will be boys.

"You underestimate me dogturd! A measly blow like that would only win against a toad!" Kouga said and ran forward to attack him. He tried to punch him but Inuyasha dodged to the left then. Kouga tried again and Inuyasha dodged to the right. Kouga growled in annoyance. He then tried to punch him square in the middle and Inuyasha leapt backwards, Kouga right after him.

Up in the air, Kouga's chance had finally come. He punched Inuyasha down hard straight into his stomach, knocking all the air out of him and sending him downward to the stadium at a super fast speed. There was no way Inuyasha could have dodged that! No one in the world could dodge something like that!

Kagome closed her eyes and covered her face with her hands just like many from the audience. She couldn't watch, but she could still hear. BAM! Some people in the audience said "Ooooooooh!" The servant next to her said, "that's gotta hurt! He's probably dead!"

Inuyasha hit the ground at full force sending smoke all over the place. Kouga smirked triumphantly. `There is no way he could have survived that!' The audience quieted down to the fullest extent as they tried with there utmost attention to see through the smoke, what became of the poor boy.

Kagome looked and the stadium through her fingers that were still on her face. Even she couldn't help feeling sorry for him after watching so many people die in her life, including her father. She usually just let things like that slip after experiencing it so much, but for some reason, she wished Inuyasha lived through that. Kagome didn't know why but she did. Sure, she knew he was dead, but a small part of her heart did not want to believe it and wished otherwise. Everyone did believe he was dead including her but yet they seemed to be waiting for the smoke to clear up. Kagome waited as well.

She prayed and waited for a miracle……….
