Disclaimer: Come on, is this really necessary?? You all know that I don't {chokes on sobs} I don't own Inuyasha. {cries uncontrollably} Ohh, this concept I got was from watching `Hey Arnold', so I don't that either. *Sighs* On with the story!!

Stuck with You

The hallways at Shikon High school were full of teenagers walking towards their next class, Kagome and Sango being no exception.

"I hate health class. He always makes us do the most stupid projects." complained Sango.

Kagome sighed and nodded in agreement, "I know, especially since we mostly get paired with Miroku and that jerk Inuyasha."

Sango placed a hand on Kagome's shoulder, causing her to stop, "Hold on Kagome, didn't you have a crush on Inuyasha since we were kids?" Kagome blushed and waved that notion away with her hand, "No way!! I would never have a crush on that idiot."

`I don't have a crush on him' she thought bitterly to herself.

They entered their health classroom and took their seat next to their class partners, Sango next to Miroku, and Kagome next to Inuyasha.

Sango smiled weakly as she was about to sit down on her chair. "Hello my dear Sango, how are you this morning?" Sango rolled her eyes at Miroku, "Don't start anything this morning Miroku. I'm not in the mood." Too bad Miroku never listens. Suddenly Sango's eyes narrowed into dangerously small slits and her face was red, "I barely walk in the room and already grope my ass!!" she yelled. Miroku fell over his chair, unconscious.

"I told I wasn't in the mood, you lecherous moron." she muttered.

Kagome was laughing so hard, she almost fell over her own chair.

"Oh wow, when will he ever learn?" she asked, to no one in particular.

Inuyasha's eyebrow shot up, "Talking to yourself, and here I thought you couldn't get any weirder." He gave her a lopsided smirk. "Shut up Inuyasha." Inuyasha feigned being hurt, "Oh come on, can't you take a joke, wench?" That really got Kagome's anger up, "My name is not `wench', Inuyasha, my name is Kagome, Ka-go-me." she hissed menacingly.

Their argument was interrupted by their teacher, professor Naraku. "Class settle down." He looked over at Miroku, "I don't even want to know what happened to Miroku, but I'm guessing he upset you Sango?"

Sango blushed as he pointed her out and she just nodded.

He only sighed and shook his head, "I thought so, anyway, there is a new class project."

All the students let out a disappointed groan. "I'm the teacher, you're the students, I'd thought you'd be use to this by now. And if you're not, well that's too bad. This project will consist of you acting as surrogate mothers and fathers to an egg and write a somewhat of a journal of what you three did together that day, the pairings must be female and male." Naraku shot a weird look over to Jakotsu, eyeing Inuyasha from across the room, who after hearing his teacher's comment gave a disappointed pout.

Naraku suppressed a shudder, and continued with the class, "Now here are your partners, Inuyasha no Taisho with Kagome Higurashi, Sango Taijya with Miroku Kazanna, Shippo Kitsune with Sulten Thunder, (I saw the episode where Shippo gets a challenge, and I thought it was so cute that she was a girl and drew bishie Shippo!! So, they are now my favorite younger couple!!) Sesshoumaru no Taisho and Kagura Numashi, (please don't ask), Kikyo Nikata with Kouga Wolf, etc. Now that you are all paired up, please discuss with your partners your plans for this week-end concerning you and your baby." Naraku pushed his chair and sat down, picking up a book leaving the class on their while he was lost in his own world.

Everyone in the class turned to their partners and begun to discuss their plans, while only 4 were having some technically difficulties.

"Come on Sango, we are married now, and you have my child. All I'm asking is for us to go out on Saturday and watch a family movie together, all three of us."

Sango shot Miroku a disbelieving look, "One, we are not married, two, I did not bear your child, and three I will not go out with Saturday night. Got it??"

Miroku took Sango by the both hands, causing her to go crimson red in the face, "Sango, you don't want to fail this class, and neither do I. Please, just one date is all I ask for."

Sango looked up to make eye contact with Miroku. His eyes held a pleading look, a very adorable look at that. `Why does he have to be so sensitive and cute at the same time? Curse the fact that I…Let me not think about it.'

She let out a frustrated sigh, "Fine Miroku, I'll go out with you tomorrow, for the sake of a good grade and our baby."

Miroku's sinfully full, sensuous lips curved into a devastatingly handsome smile. "You won't regret it my dear Sango."

`Damn him!' she thought.

"How about you come over to my house tomorrow, I'll rent a movie, and we'll work on our journal log? So what do you think Inuyasha?"

Kagome wasn't on Inuyasha's centre of attention; he was looking off into space, or rather a Kikyo looking space. `How could I have been so blind to go out with her? She used me to go out with Kouga. She prefers full demons, rather than half. But somehow I didn't feel that she was a great loss. Too bad the girl that my heart belongs to hates me.'

"Inuyasha?? Hello, Inuyasha, anyone in there??" asked Kagome as she lightly bonked Inuyasha on the head.

"What?? I was listening to what you were saying!" he responded angrily.

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Sure you were Inuyasha. So, what did happen between you and Kikyo exactly?"

Inuyasha looked taken aback by her question but quickly shook it off, "None of your business. So, your house tomorrow, huh? What time?"

Kagome smile broadly, "Well, I'll take the egg for tonight, and you can come tomorrow at around 4. What do you think?"

The bell rung announcing classes were over for the day. Naraku's class got their things and exited the classroom, eggs in hands, along side their partners.

"Feh."

"I guess I'll take that as a yes Inuyasha." said Kagome as she walked away from him and Miroku with Sango.

~*~ Saturday

"Ok, no need to be nervous Kagome." She checked her watch and saw it was already 4:15 and Inuyasha hadn't showed up yet. She resumed her pacing around her living room and talking to herself.

"It's no big deal, right? I mean, it's only Inuyasha." She stopped her pacing as she pondered over what she had just said and took a seat on her couch. `Yeah right, just Inuyasha. He's the only who I seem to love and hate at the same time. When did I ever fall for him? After all these years of knowing each other, he will never be `just Inuyasha.' he means too much to me.' Her eyes quickly downcast to the floor, `But apparently he still holds feelings for Kikyo.'

She was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of the doorbell. `He's here!' she thought happily. She opened the door to see a grumpy looking hanyou at her doorstep. "Hey Inuyasha, you're late."

Inuyasha gave her a back-off stare. "Shut up Kagome, it's called being fashionably late. Plus, I had to walk all the way because Sesshoumaru went on his date with Kagura, Shippo with Sulten and Miroku didn't want to be late for his date with Sango. What the hell? I thought this was stinking project, not a fucking dating service."

Kagome shook her head and walked away from the grumpy silver-haired half demon. "Relax Inuyasha. Come in and make yourself comfortable. I'll go get the egg, the popcorn and movie."

"So, Sango did you enjoy the movie?" asked Miroku as he walked up his date to her house.

"I did, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually had fun with you Miroku, since you didn't grab my ass." she said as she flashed him a smile. "Thanks a lot Miroku. I really did have fun."

Miroku gave Sango a flash of his award-winning smile, "So, maybe we can do this again?"

Sango brought her finger to her chin and began to tap on it lightly, "I don't see why not, as long as you behaved yourself like you did tonight."

Miroku nodded, "No problem." He leaned down and captured Sango's lips in a quick chaste kiss.

"Good night Sango." he whispered in her ear as he left to his car and sped away.

Sango's fingers nimbly brushed against her lips. "Good night Miroku." She whispered dreamily.

`I have to call Kagome.' She thought as she entered her house.

It was almost 11 p.m. and all that was going on in Kagome's house was sleep. Kagome and Inuyasha were both lying on the couch, while the egg was safely tucked on a small pillow on top of the counter. Kagome's head was nuzzled under Inuyasha's neck; his arms were encircled around her waist, while hers were resting gently on his chest.

`RING RING RING' the phone began to ring like crazy.

Kagome slowly opened her blue eyes. She turned over so her back was sprawled against Inuyasha's chest. "Arrghh, who can it be at this hour?" She searched groggily for the phone, seeing as her eyes were still sleepy. She found it on the table beside her, "Hah, I found it."

"Hello?"

"Kagome? It's me Sango. What's wrong with you, you sound like hell."

"Thanks a lot for the compliment Sango, but I was just: yawn: sleeping. What's happening?"

"Miroku and I went on the date, and he was a perfect gentleman for once."

Kagome was half listening, "You don't say. Is that all?"

"Nope, he kissed me!!" exclaimed Sango, like an excited child at a candy store for the first time. "My first kiss, can you believe it Kagome, and by Miroku nonetheless. Kagome, my feelings for him have increased tenfold."

Kagome's eyebrows shot up at hearing this, "So…you do have feelings for Miroku? I knew it. When did you fall in love with him?"

There was silence on the other line, "I don't know, but I knew I always had a thing for him, especially when he was out with other girls. Anyway, I'm sorry I woke you up, but it couldn't wait. So, how were things with Inuyasha?"

"Inuyasha?? I don't know. I must've fallen asleep and…." A groggy groan caught Kagome's full attention. She looked over shoulder to see silver hair.

`Oh gods!! Inuyasha never left!!!'

"Um, Sango, I'll call you back."

"Ok, later."

`Click'

Kagome slithered out her from her position next to Inuyasha on the couch. She gently nudged him on the shoulder, "Inuyasha, Inuyasha, wake up, please."

"Grr, go away mom. I'm tired." His ears twitched as he adjusted himself on the couch.

"Mom?? Aww, look at his ears." She reached over and started massaging them gently.

Inuyasha let out a soft purr and instantly grabbed Kagome by the waist and brought her crashing into him, earning a small, `eep' from Kagome. He nuzzled behind her hair and took a sniff, "Kagome…" he whispered softly.

`He said my name! What does this mean? Inhale…exhale…inhale…exhale.'

"Inuyasha wake up, you're not suppose be here this late." She tapped gently on his shoulder, but that didn't wake him, so she slapped him hard on the cheek.

"Oww, what the hell was that for??" he yelped, as he quickly got off from the bed and glared at the person lying innocently on the couch.

Kagome also stood up and walked over to him. "I'm sorry Inuyasha, but you didn't wake up."

"You didn't have to slap me so hard, wench!" he yelled.

"Well if you didn't drag me back down to lay next to you again on the couch, I wouldn't have slapped you!" she yelled back.

Inuyasha looked completely confused, "Again, what do you mean again?"

Kagome blushed, while still having her scowl in place, "Well, we must have fallen asleep after the movie. It's almost 11:30 p.m."

"I got to go Kagome. See you later." He was heading for the door when Kagome stopped him.

"Wait, here you forgot this. It's your turn, remember?"

He looked down at her hand to see she was holding an egg, `Right, the egg. Why else would she stop me?' he thought to himself.

He took the egg and left out the door.

"I need some sleep." Said Kagome.

~*~ Sunday Evening

"It was horrible Sango. He woke and we started yelling at each other. Then he was heading out the door, but I stopped him."

"Did you tell him how you feel??" interrupted Sango.

Kagome shook her head, "No, I gave him our egg."

Sango looked at her disbelieving, "You gave him the egg?? That's it no, `I love you' or anything??"

"No!! I don't love Inuyasha. Where did you get a ridiculous idea like that?" she asked nervously.

"Please Kagome. It shows in everything you do. You're always calling him names, and you didn't get disappointed when you two were paired up. Plus, you've been in love with since forever. You couldn't stand it when he went out with Kikyo, you were seething with jealousy."

"Shut up Sango. What if I'm not love with Inuyasha? You've been in love with Miroku since forever too." Said a blushing hysterically Kagome.

"Ahh, but here's the difference between you and me. I admit my feelings about Miroku. I told you last night. I love Miroku, now all I have to do is tell him."

Kagome looked off into the sky for what seemed like forever. "You know what Sango, you're right. I am in love Inuyasha. I always have been, but he doesn't return the feeling." she said without looking back at her best friend.

"Are you sure about that?"

Kagome almost fell off the park bench when she heard a masculine voice. She looked to her side to find Inuyasha sitting next to her.

"Inuyasha? What are you doing here?"

"I came to give back the egg and Sango told me to come. She's at the entrance; I left her making out with Miroku. They finally admitted each other's feelings towards one another. About damn time too. But what I found out just now was way more interesting than an egg exchange."

Kagome blushed, "You, umm, heard what I said?"

Inuyasha nodded, "And you're wrong."

Kagome gazed at him confused, "What do you mean?"

"About my feelings. It was a mistake to go out with Kikyo, she only dates full demons."

"I knew she was an idiot. I mean, who cares if you're a half demon or a full demon. It's a person's inside that counts. Not what type of blood he carries." she blurted out angrily.

Inuyasha smiled, a real smile, not a smirk.

"You smiled!"

Inuyasha nodded, "There's something else. I don't hate or dislike you Kagome. I love you too."

Kagome's sapphire eyes where as huge as saucers, "You…you love me?"

Inuyasha nodded again. He placed his hands on her hips and pulled her closer; his lips descending closer and closer to hers.

`He loves me.' was Kagome's final coherent thought.

Electricity shot through out Kagome's body. Inuyasha's kissing was making her weak in the knees, if Inuyasha hadn't been holding her she would have fallen by now. But everything good, must to come to an end, and with them being human and hanyou, they needed to breathe.

"That was amazing." she whispered.

"I'm glad you like it."

Kagome blushed and nuzzled her head under his chin, "I love you Inuyasha."

`I always wanted my first kiss to be with the person I love.' She thought happily to herself.

Inuyasha ran his hand through her hair, ". I love you too Kagome."

Suddenly a `splat' was heard.

Kagome looked up at Inuyasha, "What was that?" she asked.

"The egg." Inuyasha stated simply.

Kagome paled, "It's your fault."

Inuyasha laughed, "Relax Kagome, we'll just buy another one at the store, Naraku will never know, but you owe me a jacket."

Kagome smiled, "Whatever you want Inuyasha. I'm stuck with you anyway."

A/N: Aww, wasn't that just so cute?? Well, I thought so anyway. I hope you guys enjoyed. Last night on Adult Swim, they gave the episode of Inuyasha where Shippo gets a challenge from the last remaining person from the thunder tribe. I thought it was so cute! Kagome was cuddling the child like a baby. I at first thought Sulten was a boy, but it turns out he is a she!! So now Shippo and Sulten are my favorite child couple. Please review this, and my many other stories. I'll update the others soon, but that will be hard, after today I have no more internet. But I will find a way!!!
