Hikage and Kane are stepsisters. They are both sixteen and go to the same school. Hikage's father died from a gunshot wound since he was an undercover cop. He was investigating a gang, until they realized who he was and shot him. Kane's mother died in a car crush by a drunk driver.

Their parent's met during an open house for the school when the girls were fourteen. The girls already knew each other at the time. They immediately hooked up and two years later, they were married. The girls were happy.

“Hey Kane, want to go to the mall? There's a sale at Hot Topic,” said Hikage. Kane poked her head out of her room.

“Sure, be right there!” shouted Kane. She came out wearing long, baggy, black pants, her shoes were black army boots, and she wore a black t-shirt. Her hair was auburn and was very straight. She had a spiky collar.

Hikage wore dark flare pants with a black shirt that says, “I'm Here Because it Annoys You,” and wore boots with heels. Her light brown hair was up in a messy ponytail.

“About time, I thought it would take forever for you to get ready,” teased Hikage.

“Shut up and lets go,” mumbled Kane.

The mall was only ten blocks away and they didn't have a car, so they started to walk. They were talking about how glad school was done no more old, crabby teachers looking over their shoulders, and snotty popular people looking at them weirdly.

Without them realizing, a shape was formed underneath Hikage. It was a yellow sun with a crescent moon. She was sucked into it, screaming at the top of her lungs. Kane screamed. She jumped in after her.

As the mysterious shape spit the two girls out on the ground and onto their knees, it closed up so they wouldn't escape. Both looked around in amazement and in slight fear.  With a drool tone, Hikage said, "Well, this is going to be a fun day."
