Kaikou blinked a couple times to register all of this in. Then he smiled hugely and was crushing Kagome against him.
“That’s wonderful!” he exclaimed “But I told you!”
Laughing Kagome said “I know I’m sorry I should have trusted my physician but it was to good to be true!”
“Hey I know it seems like that but now the Western Lands will have an heir,” he told her
She nibbled nervously at her lower lip. His eyes widened at the realization.
“You haven’t told Sesshomaru yet? Your masking your scent aren’t you Kagome?,” he asked
Sighing she nodded.
“But why?,” he asked curiously
“At first I wasn’t sure how he’d react but now that I truly know I’m pregnant I want to surprise him,” she said smiling
He nodded in understanding
“Well Kagome keep coming to meet me so I can monitor you and the pup,” he told her “Oh and you have to refrain from doing it with Sesshomaru.”
She frowned for a minute then got a curious look.
“But why?,” she asked
“Because this isn’t the human producing cycle, for dog demons it takes about half the time human do to give birth. So about four and a half months. So now that your sure your about half a month into the process so its dangerous for you to get into intercourse while your pregnant with the baby.” he explained
“I understand…”she said “But how am I going to keep Sesshomaru from uhh you know,”
Because god knows he can’t keep his hands to himself when were in bed…Kagome thought with a chuckle
He frowned at this. Yes it was going to be troublesome if the lord and Kagome did it because it could result in her losing the baby and that would be no good. He thought for some more then shrugged.
“Im sure you’ll think of something,” he told her with a smile
Kagome rolled her eyes and got up, “Some help you are,” she said “But thank you,”
Kagome started walking off thinking about the first time she thought she was pregnant. She chuckled to herself thinking about how worried she was. After she thought she was she got a private doctor and friend to help her and Kaikou was the best there in the land.
Kagome was extremely happy so ha[ppy though she made a big mistake.
She forgot to cover her scent of Kaikou.

Walking down towards the garden she saw sesshomaru taking a break looking at the flowers. She smiled at how cute he was when deep in thought.
Walking up she sat on his lap snuggling against his soft tail.
Sesshomaru was surprised then smiled down at his mate. He then got confused he smelled another demon on his Kagome.
What the hell is that smell on Kagome? he asked himself
Probably nothing he shrugged it off
Wrapping his arms around her tightly she nuzzled her neck.
“Soo,” she whispered against him “How was work ?,” she asked
“Boring, waste of time,” he told her
She giggled and got up but he caught her arm.He buried his face in her hair.
She turned and gave him a quick kiss before getting up and leaving again.
Sesshomaru frowned she was acting….different? Yes that was the word she was becoming distant..
Its probably me…he thought getting up to take care of some more work before lunch.
Kagome sighed, she knew if she kissed him any longer Sesshomaru would literally carry her through the halls to their bedroom.
God I have to come up with an excuse to keep hi offa me for the next couple of weeks so I can surprise him when I know the baby will be alright. she thought
Suddenly she was toppled to the ground by two figures.
“MAMA!,” the little kitsune Shippou cried
“Mama!,” Rin exclaimed
Laughing Kagome got up, then she tensed.
Did that harm the baby? she thought worriedly
Rin noticed the look and asked “Mama whats wrong?,”
“Nothing dear,” she said distantly
Shrugging it off the children took their ‘Mothers’ hand and lead her to the play room
“Mama would you like to watch us play?,” Rin asked
Kagome nodded still thinking about the baby
After an hour Kagome excused herself and went to her room. The children worried and went to Sesshomarus study.
They knocked before going in.
“Come in,” they heard there ‘father’ say
The kids walked in both with worried expressions on there faces. Sesshomaru noticed this and frowned.
“Whats wrong?” he asked
“We think mama is sick..” Rin said sadly
Sesshomaru dashed out of the room leaving the wide-eyed kids.
What could be wrong with Kagome? he thought frantically as he thought about his mate being sick. Barging into the room he saw a crying Kagome.
He went over and wrapped his arms around her. Kagome was surprised and pulled away.
*Before Sesshy came into the room*
Oh my god, Kagome thought What are these pains…..could I have lost the baby?
At that thought Kagome began crying
Of god please no!
*Present time*
“Kagome,” Sesshomaru asked approaching Kagome trying to soothe her but she kept backing away, “whats wong?,”
“N-n-nothing I-is wrong,” she stuttered
I can’t Sesshomaru near me! If he as much senses the pain he’ll know im pregnant and if I lose the baby….. she thought and new tears rolled down her skin
Sesshomaru again tried to approach her but she backed away. He smelled fear laced with sadness and anger.
Whats wrong with her?, he asked himself
“Se-Sesshomaru could you p-please leave and let me get some rest?,” she asked him
He frowned but left anyways
What the hell is wrong with her? he asked himself worriedly
Then the smell of blood hit him. The smell of Kagome's blood.
KAGOME! his youkai screamed out
He burst into the room only to find she went into the hotsprings. He tried to get in but she put up a barrier.
"KAGOME!," he roared "Drop the damn barrier!,"
Kagome got scared when she heard Sesshomaru yelling. When he had left she saw she was bleeding and panicked so she went into the hotsprings and set up a barrier until she cleaned up.
"No!," she screamed back at him "Im fine its nothing!,"
What the hell?!, he asked himself
"Kagome," he said calmly "Let me in,"
"No," she whimpered "Im fine just leave me alone please. Send a servant with food, i won't be able to come to dinner."
Growing angry he punched the wall nearest him leaving a crater sized hole. He stalked out of the room.
Whats wrong with her whats happened? he asked himself
Maybe she's having an affair and she misses her lover! the little devil on his shoulder piped
DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT AGAIN OR YOU SHALL DIE A THOUSAND TIMES!!!! his inner beast roared
Hey hey! don't shoot the messenger! you never know though, do you know why she had that scent on her this morning hmmmm?? his little devil asked
Sesshomaru growled and that caused the little demon to vanish. He walked up to the nearest servant
"Kira," he told her "The mistress is feeling un well take her, her dinner when it is time."
Bowing the servant left
Of Kagome your not having an affair are you?......................
