For once now, I will just start the story! No conversations! ;) Oh, and I will make my chapters longer, cause someone requested them to be longer. ;)

 

Here it is!

 

Kiora: (making sure that none of the others say anything_

 

 

Chapter 5: Kidnapped

 

 

The man gave her a long, cold stare. She could tell he was not happy. She wasn't stupid. In fact, he looked like he wanted to kill her. A mixture of feelings washed over her. She felt fear, yet she felt satisfaction. If he kills me, then I won't have to live anymore… The man spoke.

 

“Who are you?” She froze. OH crap, Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, she kept repeating in her head. She wanted to run, but her legs wouldn't move. Her eyes couldn't simply leave his face. The man narrowed his eyes when she didn't answer.

 

“Answer me. This Sesshoumaru does not like his patience to be tempered with.” For a moment she sat there wide eyed, then she slowly started to stand up. She saw a blinding blur as it hit her, causing her to fall backwards onto her butt again. She growled in her head.

 

Why the heck did he have to push me back down again!? She paused for a moment as she thought over this `predicament'. Just then she heard a grunt.

 

“You are mute,” he simply said. It wasn't a question, more like a statement, and Kagome flinched. The way he said it unnerved her, and she didn't like it.

 

“… Why does Inuyasha want you?” Kagome just gaped at him. Didn't he know already that she couldn't talk!? Seeing this, Sesshoumaru moved a threatening step forward. He didn't like this girl's attitude, and the way she was ignoring him, offended him.

 

“Why don't you just write? Unless… you can't write either,” he said rather sarcastically, but with a hint of dead cold. Kagome flinched again. She didn't like this at all, in fact, this conversation seemed pointless. How was she supposed to know WHY Inuyasha wanted her so badly…

 

After a long moment of dangerous silence, Sesshoumaru turned around.

 

“Follow me,” he ordered as he walked away. It took a moment for Kagome to realize what he just said. Not in the mood to disobey, she followed him meekly… Actually, wrong choice of word. She was in a foul mood, and she felt a long moment of despair. How the hell am I going to get home NOW!?

(Sesshoumaru's POV~)

 

I looked down at the ningen girl with a strong distaste. This girl is annoying me. She ignored every question I asked. It was then I realized that she was mute. My lips thinned out as I stared down at her. She's not looking at me, I thought irritated and then spoke.

 

“You are mute,” I simply stated. I saw her flinch and knew I was right. I could sense her discomfort growing. For a moment I remembered the time when I got badly wounded by Inuyasha, and couldn't move for like 2 days. I remembered the time when Rin came up to him to try to save him, even though she was also mute…

 

“I hope you know, any move to try to escape, and I will kill you.” I didn't have to look at the girl to know that she was scared. I could smell her fear. Just then the scent changed into a very confusing one. There was anger, fear, and satisfaction. It was almost like being in her mind. Just for a moment, the satisfaction part surprised him, mildly. All humans that have encountered me were terrified. This girl didn't even SEEM to know who I was…

 

“I hope you know, by the end of this night, I want you to be able to speak.” For a moment I stopped and looked over my shoulder to her. She stared dumbfounded at him. Sesshoumaru watched her face contort to anger and disbelief. Sesshoumaru smirked.

 

(End of POV~ Back to Story POV~)

Kagome stared at Sesshoumaru with untamable anger and disbelief. HE expected HER to be able to TALK by the end of the FREAKIN NIGHT!? As she stared at him, she saw him smirk. He looked quite amused, which made her even angrier. She wanted to yell, THAT'S NOT FUNNY ASSHOLE!!!!! Sadly though, she couldn't…

 

Wait. That Sesshoumaru guy was staring at her incredulously. What?

 

“Did you just speak? Ningen?” Kagome's mouth fell opened. Did she actually say that to him that time? And… DID SHE REALLY FREAKIN SPEAK!? Kagome then twirled around, her arms flailing as she looked for a `perfect' excuse. Don't ask me, I'm the ginger bread man, she sarcastically in her mind. She stopped when she realized Sesshoumaru staring at her. She noticed, almost jumping backwards, that he was EXTREMELY offended, and EXTREMELY angry. She noticed that when she saw the hard, cold eyes, mouth pressed together, and the energy! She could FEEL his anger radiating off of him.

 

“Uh…” Kagome froze once again at this. She had just said, uh! As she stood there confused for a moment, all of a sudden she heard a growl. She looked at him and saw that his eyes were turning red. She had offended him, and from what she saw, He was very noble, and probably was used to being showed respect for.

 

“Come Ningen.” Kagome was surprised when he just simply turned around and walked again. She was sure that he was going to kill her, his anger was that great. It must have taken a lot of self-control to keep his anger in check, or something. Kagome opened her mouth to answer, but again no sound.

 

FanTASTIc, she emphasized quietly in her head as she followed, again not feeling like disobeying him. In fact, she was still wary of him. She didn't trust this man ONE bit.

Sesshoumaru could smell Rin and Jaken not to far away, and he quickened his step. He heard a grunt of pain behind him from the Ningen girl. He turned his head slightly towards her. He saw that she was limping towards him. He felt neither pity nor desire to help her. Why am I bringing this girl with me, he suddenly asked himself, and he knew the answer. It was to annoy Inuyasha. Inuyasha seemed to want her BADLY. He knew Inuyasha would be pissed and he was, but now there was one problem. He was now stuck with another human. A pathetic one at it. She was breathing harder than usual when she caught up with him. Without giving her a chance to rest, he turned around to start walking again when he felt a dark glare burning his back.

 

Sesshoumaru eyed Kagome as she continued to stare at him. He confidently stared back, and she he smelled immediate anger fire within the air. She was angry and for a moment he just zoned out, but he quickly forced his train of mind back and looked forward again.

 

“We are close to camp,” was what he simply said as they moved forward. Kagome hesitated before following him again. Sesshoumaru continued walking until he heard running. Running? He turned around and realized that the Ningen was running away. He narrowed his eyes as he caught up to her in a second, throwing her over his shoulder.

 

“P-Put me down r-right now,” she angrily said, stuttering a bit. She spoke again… Sesshoumaru continued to ignore her as he continued to carry her. He frowned when she kept on slamming his back with her fists. It didn't hurt or anything, but this girl was annoying him, and he had this sudden urge to kill her.

 

I can just kill her. It's not like it would matter. It will just be one more useless human living in this world, he thought. Then another voice popped up.

 

But didn't you take her to annoy Inuyasha, not kill her?

 

How does it matter? Its not like she really MEANS anything. She's just a worthless Ningen, he answered back, with the girl still pounding oh his back.

 

It does, the voice answered.

 

Feh. And how does it matter?

 

You could use her, the voice answered again, and Sesshoumaru thought about it.

 

And HOW will I use her?

 

Use her to fight Inuyasha. I mean, if you fight Inuyasha, she can be your hostage, and plus, why did you kidnap this girl in the first place?

 

Sesshoumaru scowled darkly. This conversation with his inner conscience was not amusing.

 

Shut up. That is probably one of the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard.

 

But… What about mating season? The voice piped in. He could swear that he almost jerked with surprise, anger, and disgust.

 

What… did you just say asshole?

 

You heard me.

 

A MATE!? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!! THIS HUMAN GIRL? AS A MATE? THIS VILE, DESPICABLE, WORTHLESS, FILTHY HUMAN!?

 

You know you want her, the voice taunted, and it took a HUGE amount of self-control to calm down his rage. He was VERY disgusted, and he felt like puking (not like he would anyways).

 

I am ceasing to talk to you anymore, Sesshoumaru commanded the voice. The voice disappeared, and slowly Sesshoumaru started to calm down. It was then that he noticed that the girl had ceased hitting him. When he looked to take a glimpse of her, he realized she was sleeping. SLEEPING!?

 

Sesshoumaru growled angrily as he watched her. After all this trouble she was giving him, she had the GALL to sleep on him!?

 

Doesn't she look cute, a voice taunted sweetly. Sesshoumaru swore that if this voice had a body, he would surely kill it. Sesshoumaru snarled.

 

Shut up!

 

No.

 

Sesshoumaru immediately dropped Kagome, causing her to wake from her sleep in the rudest way he could. He looked down at the petite Ningen. For a moment she just sat there, stunned until anger flashed in her eyes. If there was one thing that she hated, and that was being rudely and uncaringly woken from her sleep. He sensed this ornery feeling radiating off of her, fueling his anger to a greater height.

 

“W-Why the hell d-did you do that,” she practically shouted at him, unaware that she was talking again. Sesshoumaru irately stared down at her. How DARE this human to talk to this Sesshoumaru like that!

 

“What did you just say Ningen?”

 

“A-And STOP Calling me NINGEN!!! IT'S K-KAGOME YOU BAKA!!!” Sesshoumaru scowled darkly.

 

“I can call you whatever I want, you worthless Ningen,” he snarled back, unable now to control his anger. He saw an emotion flash into her eyes, before they grew hard and cold. Her mouth was still twisted with anger, but her eyes showed no emotion now.

 

“At least I'm not Dog Shit,” she retorted, with venom ice in her voice. Sesshoumaru's hands with out thinking reached out towards her throat. He was starting to see red as his hands tightened, and he noticed that she wasn't fighting back. In fact, she just stared at him. No fear, no anger, just dead muteness. She didn't even seem to care if she was going to die or not…

 

Sesshoumaru quickly let go of her neck and forced himself to calm down. After a long moment of deadly silence he straightened up, his cool façade masking his face.

 

“Follow me Ningen.” Surprisingly she followed him, without any complaints. Not too long later, they arrived at camp. Kagome watched as a young girl ran up to Sesshoumaru.

 

“Lord Sesshoumaru! You're back,” she exclaimed happily and Sesshoumaru just grunted in reply. This small, ugly toad like thing walked up to Sesshoumaru as well. Wait! Did she just call him Lord Sesshoumaru?

 

“L-Lord Sesshoumaru,” the toad squawked “Who is this worthless Ninge—“ Kagome hit him, causing the toad like thing to pass out. Kagome noticed the young girl warily watching her, before she started giggling.

 

“You knocked out Master Jaken,” she giggled, and Kagome for a moment stood there, before barely smiling.

 

“Rin. This girl will be your guardian when I am gone,” Sesshoumaru told her indifferently. She expected the girl to get mad or something, but instead she smiled.

 

“Okay, Lord Sesshoumaru. I finally have a playing buddy,” she said, a huge broad grin plastered on her face. Kagome couldn't help smiling softly at her. She noticed Sesshoumaru staring at her and she quickly stopped smiling.

 

“Lord Sesshoumaru! Are you really going to let this Ningen stay with us,” the toad like thing squawked again, and Kagome was tempted to hit him again.

 

“For now,” was all he said. The toad like thing knew that he wouldn't get an answer from his Lord, and sighed. He muttered something like another annoying human around and Kagome couldn't help gloating in the toad like thing's misery. She didn't like him either. Kagome saw Rin yawn and she realized she was tired as well.

 

“Will you sleep with me tonight…?” Kagome then realized that the young girl didn't know her name, and she sure knew as hell that Sesshoumaru won't tell her. It took her a moment to answer, which took a lot of work.

 

“K-Kagome.” Rin smiled brightly.

 

“Will you sleep with me tonight Kaogme?” The girl looked at her pleadingly, and Kagome couldn't resist the puppy eyes staring up at her and she smiled softly. She nodded. Rin's face lit up with excitement. She could feel Sesshoumaru watching them, especially her, and she heard Jaken grunt. She ignore both as best as she could as she went to lay down beside Rin.

 

“Good night Lord Sesshoumaru, Master Jaken, and Lady Kagome,” Rin muttered tiredly before drifting to sleep. Kagome was a little stunned. Lady Kagome!?

 

“I want you to know that I will not be here in the morning, and you will have to responsibility of watching over Rin until I come back,” Sesshoumaru said and Kagome shot a hard glare at him.

 

“Fine then, Lord Baka.” Sesshoumaru growled and Kagome turned her back on him, holding Rin in her arms. Kagome finally felt a sense of satisfaction as she slowly closed her eyes to sleep…
