Disclaimer - I own nothing! No own, no sue! It all belongs to Rumiko Takahashi!

A/N - BWHAHAHAHAHA! I've got my coffee, I've got my candy, and I'm ready to write! It drives me insane that my entire family knows how to fix a computer, and I can't even turn one on without it beeping at me with an error! Damn machina! hehe On with the story, hm?

Shadow~Magician: You like me! You really like me! *sniff* hehe It was from my computer. Stupid thing! I had the whole thing typed up, quotations and all, and then it spazzed out on me, and it got goofy. At first I couldn't even post the entire thing in one chapter, and when I finally did, it SUCKED. But, it took me so long to get it to work, I just left it. Thanks for being so encouraging!!!!!

8:00 Saturday morning, Kagome got a phone call from Sango and Rin. She groaned and rolled over as she picked up her cell phone.

"Mmello-mh?" She mumbled into her pillow.

"WE KISSED!" Sango screamed into the phone.

Kagome shot up. "Huh?"

As Sango relived the date from Kagome, Rin giggled uncontrollably in the background.

When Sango finished, Kagome grinned for her friend as Rin chanted, "Sango and Miroku, sitting on the beach! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!"

"Rin, that didn't rhyme!" Kagome laughed as Sango sputtered, embarrassed.

"I know, but Sango called me so early, my brain isn't functioning yet!" Rin explained.

"Hey, I was excited! Can you blame me?" Sango said breathily.

Kagome laughed and walked downstairs, talking to her friends. "So, you guys are official, then?"

"Yup!" Sango replied, happiness just bubbling off of her.

"Who knew? Sango the violent and Miroku the perv." Rin said thoughtfully.

Kagome choked on her orange juice from laughing so hard.

Sango groaned and said, "Hey be fair! He didn't grope me once last night!"

"Interesting. Very interesting. Maybe it wasn't actually Miroku! Maybe it was an alien that looks exactly like him!" As Kagome cracked up, Rin continued, "I mean think about it! Miroku has never gone a day without groping Sango! And here he just spent several hours without copping a feel? Very suspicious, Sango!"

Sango laughed too and said, "Rin, I think there is something wrong with you!"

Rin giggled. "Thanks!"

"Well, you know Sango, he's going to grope you even more now, and you can't get mad because you guys are dating now." Kagome told her as she buttered some toast.

Sango didn't say anything, but Rin and Kagome knew that she hadn't thought about this before, and was blushing worse than ever.

"Grope him back!" Rin shouted.

Kagome dropped her toast as she laughed and Sango yelped.

"WHAT?" She sighed. "Okay, I called to share my excitement, and you two get perverted. I'm hanging up now."

Rin and Kagome laughed as Sango hung up.

"So, Kagome, you have a date with Inu Yasha today, right?" Rin inquired.

Kagome smiled. "Yeah. At 3."

"No hanky panky!" Rin warned jokingly.

"Rin!" Kagome laughed.

Rin giggled and said, "Well, it's early and I'm going to go back to bed. Call me and tell me about your date when you get home!"

"Okay." Kagome replied as she carried her breakfast back up to her room.

The girls hung up, and Kagome got on her computer. As she checked her e-mail, someone sent her a message.

Kagome glared at her computer screen. Kouga had seemed polite before. What was wrong with him? Shaking her head, Kagome looked at her clock. Her date wasn't for hours. I should go for a run. I haven't done that in a while. She changed into a pair of jogging shorts and a shirt, and then wrote a note for her mother. At least she was still asleep.

Walking into the kitchen she saw the boys, disheveled hair and baggy eyes, sitting around a gigantic bowl, with cereal boxes all around them. She watched as they poured each cereal into the bowl. Souta grabbed some milk from the fridge and poured it over the cereal. Each boy grabbed a large soup ladle, and began eating.

"What are you doing?" Kagome asked, watching them.

"Eating breakfast." Souta answered easily.

"That's disgusting." Kagome said as she walked by and set the note on the table for her mother.

"Says you." Souta said back, proud of his comeback.

Kagome rolled her eyes. "I'm going for a run. Don't let Mom see the mess you've made."

"What mess?" Souta yelled at her.

But Kagome just rolled her eyes and let herself out of her house. She jogged at an easy pace around her neighborhood, enjoying the lack of noise at so early on the weekend. She turned a corner and picked up the pace a little bit. As she jogged down the roads, She couldn't help but feel she was being followed. I'm being paranoid. She told herself, but couldn't help jog a little faster.

The paranoid feeling beginning to overwhelm her, she decided to end her jog early and turn into an alley for a shortcut. Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her. Scared, Kagome ran full speed ahead of her, cursing her stupidity for going into the alley, and praying to every God in existence to protect her.

Suddenly someone grabbed her around the waist and Kagome screamed, trying to get away. Tears were threatening to fall, and the person behind her didn't let go. She scratched at their hands, and was suddenly whipped around and came face to face with-

"Kouga?" She stated, her voice shaking.

"Hey." He said easily, as if they had just run into each other on the street.

"You scared me!" She yelled angrily, taking a step back.

"Sorry babe. I didn't realize how jumpy you were." He leered at her.

Kagome turned away in disgust and began walking away. "Don't call me that."

Kouga grabbed onto her arm and pulled her back. "Now wait a minute, I'm still talking to you."

Kagome tried pulling away. "Well I'm done talking to you."

"What the hell are you in such a bad mood for?" His grip tightened on her arm.

"You just scared the crap out of me! And you were being a jerk online earlier." She yelled.

Kouga glared at her. "Well if you'd just dump that bastard then we'd be fine!"

Kagome yanked her arm from his grip. "Stop being so rude!"

Kouga suddenly pushed her up against the alley wall and stared her in the face. "Go out with me, Kagome."

Kagome stood stock still, her heart beating painfully in her chest. She shook her head, trying to squeeze by him.

Suddenly, Kouga punched the wall by her head, looking at her angrily.

Kagome could feel her tears coming back and her bottom lip shook.

Kouga brought his face closer to hers and Kagome whimpered. Please go away, please go away, please go away! She chanted in her head over and over again.

"HEY!" Suddenly, a voice down at the end of the alleyway startled both the teens. They looked over to see a cop walking over to them. "What's going on here?"

Kouga stepped back and answered calmly. "Nothing, just having a conversation."

Seeing an escape, Kagome slid away from Kouga and ran down the alley, away from the cop and Kouga. She heard them both yell for her, but she continued running.

Finally reaching her house, she opened the door quickly, locking it behind her. She brushed past her brother and his friends and continued walking up the stairs where she finally stopped in her room, and broke down crying.

Tears streamed down her face as she stripped out of her clothes and stepped into the shower. Her hands shook as she was in the shower, and she couldn't stop crying. He scared her. She was actually terrified of him. She had never been so afraid of someone in her entire life.

Stepping out of the shower, Kagome wrapped a large fluffy towel around herself and walked into her room. She put on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt before walking downstairs.

She found her mother in the kitchen, cooking breakfast happily.

"Well you're up early." Her mother stated, turning around and seeing Kagome in the doorway.

"Sango and Rin called me earlier, and I went running when we hung up." Kagome explained, sitting at the kitchen table.

"That's nice. Did you have a good time?" Her mother replied sweetly.

Kagome nodded her head slowly. She didn't want to worry her mother over this.

Kagome's mother looked at her closely, clearly not believing her, but she just sighed and looked away.

"Did you already have breakfast, or would you like some pancakes?"

Kagome ate some pancakes with her mother and grandfather, watching the boys run around. At noon, her mother asked her to drive the boys home. Kagome agreed, and they all piled into her car. She considered telling Sango about what had happened earlier, but she began to wonder if she was making a big deal out of nothing.

Driving Souta and herself back to their house, she scanned the streets, trying to see if she could find Kouga or the cop. She knew she shouldn't have run from him, but she panicked.

Back at the house, Kagome began getting ready for her date. She got dressed in the outfit she was planning on wearing and put on a miniscule amount of make-up. By the time 3:00 rolled around, she was sitting in the family room, watching her brother play his video game.

The doorbell rang, and before Kagome even had a chance to get off the couch, Souta had already answered it. She could hear him pestering Inu Yasha.

"Are you her date? Where are you going? Why is your hair silver? Are you guys going to be gone long? What made you ask out Kagome?"

Kagome laughed as she saw Inu Yasha standing in the corner, Souta interrogating him.

Ms. Higurashi rescued Inu Yasha from him as Kagome walked over to them.

"You look great." Inu Yasha said, looking her up and down.

Kagome smiled and replied, "So do you." He was dressed in a pair of khaki pants and a white polo shirt.

Ms Higurashi directed Souta back to his video game and asked, "So how long will you be gone?"

"Shouldn't be more than a few hours." Inu Yasha answered respectfully.

Kagome's mother smiled, kissed Kagome on the cheek, and said, "Have a good time."

The smiled at her and walked outside to Inu Yasha's silver and black Mercedes convertible.

Inside the car, Inu Yasha said, "I figured we could go walking around the downtown market. Girls like that type of stuff, don't they?"

Kagome giggled and smiled. "Yes, most girls."

He grinned and drove down the road.

"I thought you said your parents grounded you from your car." Kagome asked him.

"I was, but they let me use it for today." He answered.

At the market, Inu Yasha made Kagome pick out the things that she liked, and bought them for her. She kept trying to get him to stop, saying that she could pay herself, but Inu Yasha would only reply with a "Feh!"

As they looked at a few kiosks near them, Inu Yasha held Kagome's hand. She smiled at him as their fingers laced together.

Kagome looked at some cute figurines as Inu Yasha stood behind her, thinking. Finally he blurted out, "Kagome, I'm sorry for snapping at you about Kouga the other night."

Kagome turned around and looked at him. Looking down she said, "You were right, though."

Inu Yasha gaped at her and took a step closer. "Has he been bothering you, Kagome?"

Kagome bit her lip and looked away, causing Inu Yasha to glare. "Kagome?"

I… Well… Hey look, food!" Kagome pulled Inu Yasha in the direction of the food, ignoring his question.

Inu Yasha tried bringing up Kouga the rest of their date, but Kagome continued to change the subject.

When they left the market and were back in Inu Yasha's car he said, "Do you want to go see a movie?"

Kagome agreed, and they drive down to a cinema. Inu Yasha parked the car, and as Kagome was about to get out, he locked the doors. She gave him a confused look and he said, "Kagome, did something happen with Kouga?"

Sighing, Kagome leaned back in her seat. Telling him would only enrage him. Not telling him would enrage him, too. She was in a lose-lose situation.

"Kagome, please tell me." Inu Yasha spoke softly.

Kagome closed her eyes and gave in. She told him about their online conversation, and how he found her while she was jogging. Inu Yasha stared straight ahead, not even blinking as he heard all this. When she finished, Inu Yasha took a deep breath.

"I'm going to kill him." He muttered to himself.

Kagome grabbed his arm. "The reason I didn't want to tell you was because I knew it would ruin our date! Inu Yasha, please forget about it. Please?"

Inu Yasha looked over at her, and he softened slightly. He looked into her pleading eyes and said, "Okay" knowing full well that he was actually going to kill Kouga the next time he saw him.

Kagome smiled, kissed his cheek, and said, "So what movie do you want to see?"

They got out of the car and up to the ticket-line. Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around Kagome as they looked at their options. After ten minutes of arguing, they finally settled on `The Perfect Score'.

As they watched the movie, Inu Yasha rubbed Kagome's thigh, causing her to blush. He leaned over and kissed her cheek softly, whispering in her ear, "When I told you that you looked good earlier, that was only because I didn't think your mom wanted to hear me tell you that you looked fucking sexy."

Kagome bit her lip to keep from smiling, the blush very evident, even in the dark movie theater.

When the movie ended, Inu Yasha put his arm around her waist, leading her back to the car.

When they reached Kagome's house, he shut off the car and turned to her.

"This was fun." Kagome said, smiling.

Inu Yasha grinned and leaned over, kissing her. She responded to the kiss immediately, blushing slightly when she felt his tongue against hers. Inu Yasha caressed her side with one hand as he kissed her, his other hand back on her thigh.

When they pulled away, Inu Yasha panted against her lips, "Yeah, very fun."

Kagome smiled and kissed the tip of his nose. She pulled away and opened the car door.

"Call me." She called to him before stepping out of the car and closing the door. Inu Yasha grinned as he watched her, and then drove away happy.

Back inside her house, Kagome greeted her mother before walking upstairs. She called Rin, who 3-wayed Sango, to hear about her date. The three girls talked happily, teasing each other.

Suddenly Sango said, "Hey Kagome? Do you know why Inu Yasha is mad at Kouga?"

Kagome stopped laughing and said, "What are you talking about?"

"Well, I was talking to Miroku online, and Inu Yasha just got on, yelling about something that Kouga did, and saying that he was going to kill him."

Kagome sighed. She explained what had happened earlier to her friends, causing both of them to fall silent.

"You need to be careful, Kagome. When Kouga has his eyes set on someone, he doesn't stop till he's gotten what he wants." Rin warned, worry in her voice.

"You guys, it'll be fine! I'm sure I just overreacted earlier. Look, I've got to go, but Sango, tell Inu Yasha that I say `calm down!'" Kagome said bye to her friends and hung up.

She groaned and fell backwards on her bed. Just when things were going good for her, someone had to come along and screw it up.
