Disclaimer - I own nada, nuthin, zip. Leave me alone.
Youkai-chan: hehe Thanks for the review! And thanks for taking the poll! All three couples will get lemons, so never fear! Kagome is a bit of a prude, but that'll change soon enough. =D lol Hope you keep reading!
Naomi_Ikahen: Thanks for reviewing and taking my poll! I absolutely hate Kikyo, but someone wanted her in, so here she is! But she isn't trying to get Inu Yasha back, she's just trying to help Kouga ruin his life by getting at… someone else. Muhahaha, how sneaky sneaky I am. lol
eMeLyNoOoPeE: Thanks for taking the poll! Like I told Naomi_Ikahen, I hate Kikyo. She's a stupid bitch! So, why am I adding her in the fic? Because as much as I hate her, she adds twists into the fics. lol But don't worry, the psycho isn't around for very long!!!
fanficluvr: Thanks for taking the poll! I can see that a lot of people don't want Kikyo in the story, but NEVER FEAR! She'll be gone soon, I just stuck her in because I'm new at this, and I've been drinking pop for 5 days straight!! lol And I though that Kouga would be the diabolical type to summon Kikyo to destroy Inu Yasha. Glad you enjoy it!
Chipmunk: Thanks for taking my poll and reviewing!! I know what you mean, Kikyo sucks. So, once again, why am I adding her? lol Read above this one and you'll see. =D
RedHerring: Aw! I wish we had some outdoor pools here… But it rains all the time, so I don't think we do. Some of my friends in public schools were telling me about senior trips that they were going to take this year and next year. Another thing that just popped into my head while I was typing. That sucks about the Washington trip deal! lol Your ranting was entertaining, feel free to rant about anything. Thanks for the help!
KHC: Thanks for the review, but don't worry!!! Kikyo isn't here for very long!!! It's a bit intense while she is in it, but it'll end quickly, and her and Kouga will be gone!!! Hope you keep reading!!!

Kagome sat in the passenger side of Inu Yasha's car, watching the scenery go by in a blur as Inu Yasha drover her home. They both sat in silence, not sure what to say to the other.
After Inu Yasha heard the message from Kikyo, he told everyone he was taking her home. Rin and Sango, although not knowing what Kikyo said, hugged Kagome to cheer her up, giving Inu Yasha enough time to tell Sess and Miroku what was on the message.
When Inu Yasha pulled up to Kagome's house and stopped, he turned to her and opened his mouth to speak, but she beat him to it.
"Why did you break up with her?"
"She's insane." He answered simply.
"How do you mean?"
Inu Yasha scratched the back of his head as he answered. "She always came up with these crazy ideas that she wanted to do. Not like Rin's ideas, but like, bodily harm and stuff. She cuts tallies into her skin for every boyfriend she has. She also tried carving her name into my arm, and stabbed me when I wouldn't let her. She has an obsession with knives." Inu Yasha grabbed Kagome's hand and said, "She's not right in the head, but no matter what her and Kouga have planned, I'll protect you."
Kagome looked over at Inu Yasha and gave him a small smile. She leaned forward and kissed him gently. Inu Yasha stroked her cheek tenderly when they pulled apart.
"Good night." She whispered against his lips.
"Good night."
Kagome got out of the car and walked up to her front door. Inu Yasha watched her walk away and didn't drive away till she was inside her house. Driving home, he began worrying for Kagome. What did Kikyo and Kouga have planned? And why would they want to hurt Kagome? She hadn't done anything to them.
When he pulled up to his house, he saw that Rin, Sango, and Miroku were still there. He walked into Sess's room and found his friends waiting there.
"Kikyo threatened Kagome?!" Sango exclaimed as Inu Yasha walked in.
Inu Yasha nodded and sat down on his brother's bed.
Rin looked upset and shaken at the same time. "But Kagome doesn't even know Kikyo! Hell, me and Sango only met her briefly, and that was when you broke up with her and she was committed to the hospital!"
Inu Yasha sighed. "I know. It doesn't make any sense. But we know Kouga has something to do with it, I just don't know what."
"Or why." Miroku spoke up. They all looked over at him and he said, "He seems to like Kagome, so why would he send Kikyo after her? Kikyo is a violent psychopath. He won't exactly win points with Kagome by using Kikyo."
Sess nodded his head. "It really doesn't make sense. How is Kagome taking all this?"
"Surprisingly well. She just wanted to know why I broke up with her."
The teens discussed it for a bit longer before Sango, Rin, and Miroku decided to leave. Miroku offered to drive Sango home, so Rin kissed Sess good night and left, calling him a few minutes later on her cell phone so she wouldn't be lonely.
Sango and Miroku got into his car and drove away.
"Well, that was an intense ending to an interesting day." Miroku stated.
Sango snorted. "Yeah."
"I don't think we have to worry to much about Kagome, though. First of all, Inu Yasha would sooner chop off his dick than let something happen to her. Plus, we're all going to help out, too."
Sango smiled and agreed. "I would have worded it differently meant the same thing."
Miroku grinned and suddenly Sango's cell phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and groaned before she answered it.
"I'm on my way home, Dad, and it's to late to get some more, I'll buy some tomorrow after school. … I was just out with some friends. … Does it matter? … Just a couple of girlfriends! … I'll be home soon. …"
As Sango hung up her phone, Miroku glanced over at her. "I'm a girlfriend?"
Sango laughed. "No."
"Why do you lie to him, Sango?"
"Does it really matter?"
"Yeah."
"Why? Why does it matter so damn much?"
Miroku shrugged. "I don't know. But what I do know is, if my parents were around more, I wouldn't lie to them."
Sango sighed. Should she tell him the truth about her father? She hated people knowing about her life, but he was getting pissed. Making up her mind, Sango turned to him.
"Look Miroku, I'll tell you what's up with my dad, but I don't want you to repeat it ever. Got it?"
Miroku nodded his head.
Sango looked forward and sighed again. "My father is an alcoholic. He's a drunken bastard who hasn't taken care of his kids in the last four years. All he does is fuck around in his room all day, drinking. He's an embarrassment. That's the reason no one has met him."
Miroku gripped the steering wheel tightly, anger and shock welling inside of him. "I'm sorry."
Sango shrugged. "I can tell you right now, you don't want to meet him. And even if you did meet him, he'd forget you in ten minutes."
Miroku slowly pulled into Sango's driveway and said, "I don't know if it's safe for you to live with him. He's irresponsible and hazardous."
Sango shook her head. "I've been taking care of the house since I was thirteen. Nothing is going to happen. Besides, it'll all be fine when I'm eighteen."
"What happens when you're eighteen?" Miroku asked her as he stopped the car.
"Well, I've been saving my money for a while, so I'll have enough money for an apartment. Then, I'm going to file for custody over Kohaku so he can live with me. Whatever happens to my dad then isn't my concern."
Miroku flinched. Ouch, she was really pissed at the guy. Not that he could blame her. "What if your dad cleaned himself up?"
Sango laughed. "I've stopped that wishful thinking a long time ago, Miroku."
"But what if he did, Sango. What then?"
"I don't know. I'd be happy, but I know it's not going to happen, so I don't think about it."
Miroku looked away, thinking. Sango giggled and kissed his cheek.
"Don't think so hard, you'll hurt yourself."
Miroku grinned mischievously at her. "Oh you're going to pay for that."
Sango squealed as Miroku dove on top of her and pulled the seat lever so the seat fell back with him lying on top of her. He grabbed her hands and pinned them above her head, kissing her neck all over.
Sango wriggled beneath him, laughing.
Chuckling, Miroku began sucking on one spot, but Sango quickly said, "No hickies! Rin and Kagome wouldn't let me live it down."
Miroku smirked at her and held both of her hands in one of his, slowly bringing the other hand down to her shirt. He grabbed the hem of it and brought it above her breasts so he could see her white bra.
"Only if they can see the hickey."
Sango gasped as Miroku placed his lips in between her breasts and began lightly sucking.
When she didn't stop him, Miroku began sucking harder, delighting in the soft noises she was making. Finally pulling away, Miroku kissed both of her breasts softly and admired his work. Sango pulled her shirt back down and brought the seat back up.
She grinned nervously at him and kissed his lips. Her cell phone rang again and she groaned.
"Damnit Dad, I'm coming."
She hung up the phone and said good night. Miroku pinched her behind as she got out and Sango rolled her eyes. She waved to him as she walked away and let herself into her house.
The next morning, Kagome woke up for school feeling slightly better. She was really upset about the message she received, but began thinking that is was nothing but a threat. She hadn't told her family, deciding not to bother them with it.
When Inu Yasha arrived for Kagome, she ran outside and jumped into his car before he got out.
"Were you watching for me or something?" He asked, amused.
Kagome giggled. "Yup!" She leaned over and kissed him, parting her lips immediately when he licked them. They locked lips for a few good minutes, Inu Yasha rubbing her thighs. When they broke apart, Kagome just smiled and put her seatbelt on. Inu Yasha shook his head and smirked.
"You want to come over after school to study?" Kagome asked as she fiddled with his radio.
"Damnit that was a good song! Huh? Oh, yeah, sure."
Kagome grinned and finally landed on a song she wanted to listen to.
At school, Kagome found quite a shock. Her four friends were already waiting there, but they were standing in line, Rin pacing in front of them dressed entirely in a camouflage skirt and matching jacket. Kagome held Inu Yasha's hand as they walked closer, both wondering what the hell Rin was doing.
When Rin saw them she saluted. "Officer Rin reporting for duty! Mission, protect Kagome!"
Kagome began laughing, and Rin giggled. "This army stuff is fun!"
Kagome shook her head and said, "Rin, I don't need protecting."
Rin stamped her foot. "So I wore this outfit for nothing? I knew I should have gone with the James Bond one!"
Kagome and Sango laughed. As the six teens walked inside the school, Rin ran ahead of Kagome with her fingers in the shape of a gun, humming the `Mission Impossible' theme.
Kagome laughed and made her way down to her locker, but stopped short when she saw Kouga walking by. She heard Inu Yasha behind her start to growl, so she grabbed his hand and tugged him in a different direction. Inu Yasha resisted slightly, but Kagome wouldn't release his hand. He finally gave in and walked with Kagome, but still was growling slightly.
Kagome stepped up and whispered, "Calm down." She kissed his cheek gently a few times before making her way to his lips. Inu Yasha appreciatively kissed her back, but Kagome pulled away when the bell rang.
She grabbed her things and all the students headed to class, except for one.
Kouga glared at Inu Yasha's retreating head and stepped into the bathroom. He dialed a number quickly and waited impatiently for her to answer.
"What?"
"We need to do this, and we need to do it soon. I can't wait any longer. Kagome will be mine. You know what you need to do. After school today, I'll make sure she is alone. Got it?"
"Absolutely."
They hung up their phones and Kouga hurried to class.
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?"
"NO. Now stop asking!"
At lunch, Miroku had been whispering in Sango's ear for the past five minutes asking if he could see the hickey.
"Why not?" He whined.
"One, because you saw it last night. Two, because we are at school. And three, because I said no!"
Miroku sulked in his seat. "It was dark last night."
Sango laughed and pinched his cheek. "You're such a child."
He brightened slightly. "Will you show me when we aren't at school?"
Sango rolled her eyes. "If you don't piss me off, yeah. Sure."
Miroku gave an enormous grin, and didn't embarrass Sango once after that.
Rin laughed and turned to Sess.
"Can you spend the night tonight?"
Sess kissed Rin on the cheek. "Sure."
Kagome smiled at her friends and turned to Inu Yasha, who was scanning the area intensely.
"Who are you looking for?" She asked quietly, although she had a feeling she already knew.
"Kouga."
"Thought so. Inu Yasha, please just ignore him!"
Inu Yasha glared at Kagome. "No way in hell am I going to let him get away with whatever it is he's planning."
Kagome sighed, but Inu Yasha suddenly leaned down and gave Kagome a fierce kiss. He hungrily sucked at her lips, driving his tongue inside her mouth. Kagome squeaked from surprise, but kissed him back unabashed. He was tense, and Kagome wanted to help any way she could.
When they pulled apart, no one made any jokes. They all knew that Inu Yasha was pissed beyond words, and now wasn't the time to make jokes. The bell rang, and they all stood up and walked to class, Inu Yasha still looking around for Kouga.
The final bell rang at the end of the day, and Kagome got the books she needed from her locker. She couldn't see Inu Yasha or her friends anywhere, so she decided to go looking for them. She wandered the halls for a good ten minutes, the amount of students thinning drastically.
I'll just go wait for him at his car for a few minutes, and if he isn't there, then I'll walk home. She decided as she exited the school.
Walking down to the far end of the parking lot to Inu Yasha's car, Kagome tried calling his cell phone. He didn't pick up, but she thought nothing of it. She sat on the trunk of his car to wait.
"Hello Kagome."
Kagome sat up and looked around, finally seeing a girl near the car. She had long black hair and cold empty eyes.
"Um, hi?"
"Oh how terribly rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is Kikyo."
Kagome gripped the strap of her bag tightly. This couldn't be good.
"N-nice to meet you, Kikyo."
"I'm sure. Tell me, why did you chose Inu Yasha over Kouga?"
"What? I… Kouga scares me. I trust Inu Yasha."
Kikyo sneered at Kagome maliciously. "You should be a lot more scared of my than of Kouga at the moment."
She suddenly pulled a knife from behind her back and held it up for Kagome to see. Panicked, Kagome slid off the edge of Inu Yasha's car and began running back towards the school. But Kikyo caught up to her and knocked her to the ground. Kagome rolled over twice, but before she could get up, Kikyo was kneeling over her.
Kikyo grinned down at Kagome as she brought the knife to her upper arm and stabbed her. Kagome screamed in pain as the knife broke her skin and entered deep in her arm.
Her vision blurry and her head woozy, Kagome vaguely saw Kikyo stand up. "Inu Yasha wasn't here to save you."
Tears flowed out of her eyes as she tried to cope with the pain in her arm. Suddenly, she saw a blurry figure run over to Kikyo and tackle her to the ground. Kikyo had been to busy taunting Kagome to notice. Another blurry figure ran over to Kagome and began checking the knife wound. When they began talking to their shoulder, Kagome thought she was going insane. Who talks to their shoulder? Unless it's the police with that… thing on their shoulder. What's it called…?
Pain ran through her arm again as the person next to her touched the wound. She bit her lip and almost drew blood, and she could vaguely hear Kikyo screaming and sirens coming closer.
