InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Tales of a Long Story ❯ To start it all off... ( Chapter 1 )

Ok, I have not written in a while so I'm really rusty at this. Anyway, I don't own Inu-yasha, but Rumiko Takahashi dose. She is such a genius… Anyway, I hope you like this fic.

It was an average day for the Inu-gang. Kagome was doing her homework as Sango buffed her weapon and Miroko was thinking about something perverted. But Inu-yasha just couldn't sit down and he was pacing back and forth.

"We haven't heard of any jewel shards or Naraku's forces yet. They might have already found all the shards by now. We're behind and if we don't get up and find them we might just lose the whole battle!" Inu-yasha pouted as he walked back and forth.

"Well, we haven't had any news on the jewel shards jet Inu-yasha," Kagome answered as she put down her pencil. She knew the racket that was coming would end up making her lose her homework or quit it anyways.

"We also haven't heard anything about Naraku's forces either Inu-yasha. I think it might be wiser if we waited for him to make his move then if we go out looking for him," Miroko stated as he groped Sango. Sang, in turn, turned around and hit him on the side of the face.

"Pervert!" she screamed as she started to back away from him. That's when Shimpo, who was sitting on Kagome's shoulder, turned his head and saw a guy riding a black horse towards the group in a frantic pace. He seemed to be in a great deal of shock from his appearance on his face.

"Kagome, look there is someone coming towards us," he said as he pointed towards that direction.

"I wonder why he is such in a hurry," Miroko said in a questioning tone. As the man rode up on the horse, he jumped off the horse and landed on the ground in haggard breathes, he spoke with fear.

"The village, it's under attack. Some demon attacked it. It's powerful, evil, evil," the man uttered as he fell down on the ground, unconscious.

"What do you think the man means?" Miroko asked as he gave the man an once-over.

"Whatever it means, it sounds like Naraku. I think we should go there and see the demon, it might just have a jewel shard," Inu-yasha stated as he began to head the way the man had came from. He knew that everyone knew that the man would be fine and all he needed was some rest.

" But Kagome doesn't since any jewel shards that way, do you Kagome?" Sango asked as she picked up her boomerang and made her way towards Inu-yasha.

"No, not at all. What ever demon that had attacked the village must have been using its own strength," Kagome said as she went up to the rest of the group ahead of her.

"Then it must be Naraku's minion, I think we should get there fast," Inu-yasha said as he made his way towards the village. Kagome and the rest just followed. They all knew that no one could really place on just a jewel shard or Naraku. For some reason, this demon seemed different, deadlier than another. They knew that what ever it was, their guard had to be kept up until they knew they were safe.
