Tears of Blood
Chapter Eleven
-xXx
"You are sure?" Naraku asked.
"Yes, she fought as well as Inuyasha," Kagura barely suppressed the urge to smirk. She was telling him the truth, just not the whole truth. There was nothing he could do about it. The miko did fight as well as the hanyou, but Kagura knew she could fight better.
"And Inuyasha was not there?" he said interrupting her thoughts.
"Correct," she told him emotionlessly. Just as he was about to open his mouth again, a messenger came in.
"Sir," the messenger said out of breath.
"What is it?" Naraku asked, unmistakably annoyed.
"The youkai sent out to kill the human wench, that was with the inu-youkai lord, has been defeated."
"And they both live?"
"Yes," the messenger swallowed the lump in his throat. "And your predictions were right," he didn't know if that piece of information was going to get him killed.
"So, that young wench is a miko," the evil youkai said out loud to no one but him self.
"Yes, my lord," the messenger said.
"Thank you, now both of you leave before I have to kill you," he said to the two youkai in the room.
"Yes, my lord," the messenger said again and Kagura spun on her hell and left.
"Damn," the evil youkai cursed. Thing were not going well for him. Now he had THREE miko's out for his head. One was know a hanyou, one the walking dead, the other just figured out her power; and it was all his fault. He cursed again, his plans for killing them all back fired.
"They never die," he destroyed something in his frustration. He had to do some thing, the jewel was almost complete, all he needed was the other half that the inu-miko had and a few other shards. He knew the final battle was coming, and he didn't have a strategy left. Every thing he tried so far had failed. Then it came to him, how to get rid of one of his opponents, if not two of them.
"If at first you don't succeed…" he grinned evilly and started on his plans.

She jumped right over him. Before Inuyasha could react, however, he received a kick to the back throwing him a few feet. He quickly recovered though. She was a better fighter than he thought. His niece could prove to be very useful. Truth be told, he thought she wouldn't even stand a chance. Before he could give another thought, he was sent into the ground followed by an elbow in the chest. He kicked her in her side and jumped in the air at the same time. He only succeeded in moving her back a few feet. Quickly he ran to her and attempted to punch her in the stomach, but she dodged it. Kari countered it with an attack of her own. She kicked him side ways and no sooner was he on the ground, again, with Kari's claws just hairs away from his throat.
"That's enough," Kameko said and the two stud up.
"How was that uncle?" Kari asked him with a knowing smirk.
"You did much better then I expected," he said with his arms crossed against his slightly bruised chest. Though he was holding back, she still managed to bruise him, even if it was only minor.
"So I can come?" she asked happily.
"A deal is a deal," he said emotionless.
"Yeah," she couldn't resist the urge to jump up and down.
"Where did you learn to fight?" Inuyasha asked. Her face lost most of its brightness.
"From Otousan," she said.
"He must be a great fighter," he said.
"He was," she told him.
"Oh," was his response. "We should get going," he decided to change the subject.
"Wait," Kameko said to the two before they left with out talking to her.
"Inuyasha, if anything should happen to her, I will have your head," she threatened. He just looked at her and nodded. "Kari," she looked at her daughter. "Be careful, and return when necessary."
"Yes, Kaasan," she hugged her and started after her uncle.
"Remember brother, if she is harmed in anyway, I will kill you," the queen told him seriously. Inuyasha just smirked at her protective nature. Kameko watched them leave.

"Uncle 'Yasha," what she now called him, "tell me what the people we'll be traveling with are like?" Kari asked. Inuyasha was thinking about why he let her come along in the first place. It was just one more person to protect, even though she could take care of her self.
"What," he said coming out of his trance.
"Can you tell me about them?" she asked again.
"Let's see," he thought. "There's Shippou who is a very annoying kitsune. There's another kitsune, which I know nothing about. Sango is a youkai hunter, Naraku made her brother kill every one in her village. She has a fire cat youkai named Kirara. Then there's the leach, Miroku who has to touch every female within fifty feet," he looked at his niece. "If he touches you, you hurt him then tell me," he finished. Then she realized that he forgot someone.
"What about this Kagome you were talking about?" she asked, Inuyasha froze and looked at her. He didn't know how to describe Kagome. She had been with him for so long that he never really gave it any thought. It just seemed so right, having Kagome around. He loved Kagome, it was something that he knew for a while. Only after seeing Kikyo, did it become more clear to him. He loved her so much that he couldn't even describe her, or anything about her. Only that she was Kagome and that's all there was to it. A genuine smile came to his face.
"Uncle?" Kari's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Hum?"
"What about Kagome?" she asked once more.
"You will have to see for yourself," he told her.
"What?"
"I can't explain it, Kagome is just Kagome," he said, mainly to just hear himself say it. Kari smiled.
"Alright then," she said. "I can't wait to meet everyone-" she was cut off by an unfamiliar scent. She looked around, then at her uncle. She noticed that he looked angry.
"What is it?" she asked.
"A very annoying, baka wolf," he spat and folded his arms as a gust of wind came passed them.
"Koga," he said with his eyes closed.
"Koga, hum?" Kari said. "You didn't say anything about him? Is he a friend of yours?"
"Who is this?" the wolf asked. "And where is my women?! I told you to protect her, and you abandon her for this wench?!"
"Shut the hell up!" Inuyasha yelled. "I don't have to explain my self to you, and," he opened his eyes to look at the wolf, "Kagome. Is. NOT. Your. Women!"
"Uncle," Kari said in hopes of calming him down.
"This is your uncle," Koga turned to the young hanyou, as if just noticing. He saw how beautiful she was. She was even more beautiful then Kagome, at least since the last time he saw her.
"Yes," she said as she noticed the strange look on his face.
"I feel bad for you," he told her.
"Why," she said defensively.
"No reason," he shot back.
"Good, or you would greatly regret it," she told him flatly.
"Really?" he asked. "That sounds like a challenged," his sneer never wavered.
"It could be," she said moving in a fighting stance. Inuyasha looked at the two, they were both ready to fight, though they weren't out for each other's throat.
"This could be interesting," Inuyasha said to him self with a chuckle
The wolf struck first, but Kari dodged it. Inuyasha quickly noticed that Koga was not using his full speed for some odd reason or else she would have lost. She kicked him in the back and he landed on his feet. Within seconds of landing she was punched in the jaw. She quickly recovered and jumped over him, before she landed she kicked him in the back of the neck. As she landed she spun her leg around, Koga lost his balance, and fell on his back. Kari's claws were positioned at is neck, he just smiled.
"You're good," he told her. "Though, you use your legs too much," he pushed her off and jumped back.
"Don't you dare tell me how to fight," she yelled. Inuyasha looked in amusement as he felt something come closer, and an actual smile came to his face. The fight was all but for gotten as he turned to see Kagome.
"Inuyasha," she gasped for air. The two figures fighting stopped as if a wall hit them. "I felt fighting … then you… are you alright?!"
"I have never been better," he said and hugged her. Kagome didn't ever attempt to hide her surprise.
"Are you sure you're aright?" she asked him again.
"Kagome," she heard a very familiar voice, as Inuyasha let her go.
"Hi Koga," she sighed.
"What? How?" he faltered. "What the HELL happened to you!?" she ignored him, and just looked at the female hanyou.
"Who's that?" she asked. She looked a little like Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
"I'm Kari," the young hanyou walked up to her.
"Hello?" she said confused.
"Uncle," she turned to Inuyasha. "You didn't tell me she was this beautiful. You also said that she was a human."
"She was," Inuyasha mumbled.
"Uncle?!" Kagome looked sharply at Inuyasha.
"My sister, Kameko, had a hanyou daughter," he told her.
"Sister? How come you never told me you had a sister?" she yelled to him. Inuyasha just looked at her.
"Because you never asked," he told her as an excuse.
"That's still no reason-" she was cut off.
"Hello!!" Koga interrupted. "Will someone answer me?!"
"Maybe it's not you business!" Kari glared at him.
"Kagome," Sango's voice said from behind them. Her, Miroku, Shippou, and Vilna were riding Kirara. "Is every thing…" she got off the fire cat and saw Koga and another hanyou. "…alright?"
"I don't know," she said confused. Miroku walked to the young hanyou in front of Kagome.
"Hello," he smiled and took her clawed hand. "I was wondering if you-"
"You must be Miroku," Kari said slowly taking her hand from him. "Uncle told me about you."
"Uncle?" the monk said in surprised confusion.
"Um hum," she nodded and looked behind him. "Don't look now, but your woman looks very angry and has a giant weapon of some sort." Before Miroku could even turn around, he was hit over the head rather hard.
"I told him no to look," Kari shrugged as Sango dragged him away.
"Kaasan, who is this?" Shippou asked, jumping in Kagome's arms. The kit could change moods faster that a pregnant woman.
"This is," she looked at the hanyou, "Inuyasha's niece."
"What?!" Shippou looked at him.
"How come you didn't tell us?!" he asked.
"I didn't know," he said Kari looked at him a decided that there needed to be a change in subject.
"Come on, let's get going," she said with a smile.
"No," everyone turned to look at the forgotten Koga. "No one is going any where until I know what's going on!"
"Kagome-sama is now a inu-hanyou because of an accident," Vilna finally spoke up. "I don't know who you are, but I have a felling that nobody likes you and doesn't want you to know." Everyone looked at the female kitsune standing next to Inuyasha's leg.
"I think you should leave," Kari told him with a smirk and had her arms crossed. Koga looked at her, and then smirked him self.
"Alright then," he said still just looking at her. He gave he a strange look then left with out saying a word.
"Well that was strange," Sango said.
"Oh well," Shippou shrugged. "Let's get going, I'm hungry." Everyone agreed and turned to go back to the camp.
