Would you know my name?

If I saw you in heaven

 

 

Inu-yasha looked around the small hut he had just entered, noticing an empty bed to his right he sighed. Kagome had left the hut when she was deathly ill when she knew all too well she should be resting. This made Inu-yasha very upset and worried as he set down the bowl of water he had been carrying and left to find Kagome.

 

He eventually found her, sighing sadly as he looked at her. She looked thin and sickly. Her pale skin was not as bright as it was but white as a ghost. Her hair was not lively anymore; it was like it had lost the will to live. When she looked up at him, he saw her eyes had sunken in a bit and it made tears want to spill from his eyes but pride kept the from falling as he looked at the sickened form of the one he fell in love with.

 

"Kagome you know your not suppose to be up and around"

 

"I know but..."

 

"...no buts now go back to bed"

 

Kagome nodded as she looked at the river scene around her as she got up slowly and started walking back as best as she could. She had forgotten how weak she was as she tried to make her way back to the hut but she stumbled a bit trying to regain her balance. Inu-yasha though was right by her side, taking her into his arms bridal style as he started carrying her back to the hut. It was then though that he thought he should tell her as tears choked him.

 

Kagome noticed something wet on her cheek and saw one lone tear fall from Inu-yasha's eyes. Her eyes widened as he put her down, laying her comfortably in his arms.

 

"Kagome d-don't l-leave m-me here a-alone in th-this world w-without you" He whispered.

 

Would it be the same?

"Inu-yasha?” she asked attentively as she reached up towards him and lifted her self up so she could see his face.

 

"Don't leave me Kagome. I need you, I love you"

 

Kagome froze, had Inu-yasha said what she thought he had said? Then a smile graced her lips as she looked up at him.

 

"I will never leave you Inu-yasha, I love you too with all my heart"

 

"Kagome, you are dying, how can you say that you are not leaving me?!” His voice raised a bit hit in anger as he saw Kagome flinch. “Kagome, you're dying and I don't know what to do,” he said softly but there was a hint of fear in his voice.

 

“Inu,” she whispered as she grabbed his ear and rubbed it softly, trying to calm her hanyou down. “Tatta hitori no watashi, that is what you are too me and you will always be the one that is in my heart. I will always be with you in spirit, that I can promise.” Kagome said as tears began to cloud her vision and she couldn't take it anymore she clung onto Inu-yasha and cried her eyes out.

 

Inu-yasha's head was shaking uncontrollably. He didn't even want to know that his Kagome was dying, HIS Kagome. Inu-yasha let the tears fall from his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Kagome. He couldn't believe that this was happening, after so many years of being with each other, Kagome was dying.

“Kagome I will not let you leave me so easily.” Inu-yasha began as he looked down at the woman who had captured his heart but she looked at him confusedly. “I will go to Sesshomaru,” he continued, “I promise to bring you back no matter if I have to give him Tetssega”

 

Kagome smiled slightly, “but try to negotiate something other than Tetssega, you need it.”

 

“Not as much as I need you,” he whispered as he took Kagome into his arms again, bringing her so close that their lips where only a few centimetres apart. “I don't want you to go to somewhere where I will never be able to follow.” He said as his lips crashed onto hers in such passion that it blew Kagome away. It felt like the world had stopped the ticking clock for the two of them as they put passion before anything else. Their untamed desires flickered as Inu-yasha licked at Kagome's lips asking for entrance to her wet cavern. She complied, opening her mouth as his tongue entered battling for dominance.

 

They soon had to break apart for lack of air. Kagome whimpered at the loss as Inu-yasha just held her close to him.

All Inu-yasha could do was hold her, he felt so helpless but he knew deep down that this was the only way. So he decided that tonight he would make her his, so that they could make the world fall to them and no one else.

 

Kagome looked at him, concern filling her eyes. She had never seen him with a look of pure concentration; it was starting to scare her. Though what scared her even more was when Inu-yasha flipped her over so that he was laying on top of her.

 

“Inu-yasha?” she asked him looking up at him.

 

“I want you to be mine and no one else's, “ He whispered huskily in her ear as his lips once again descended upon hers bring her into a gentle kiss that was sweet and passionate. Kagome smiled as he began his work. His left hand began dancing across her stomach; his right was lifting her shirt up while his mouth was clamped down on her neck, licking it and sucking it gently.

 

“Inu,” she moaned quietly.

 

He smirked slightly as he raised her shirt all the way up revealing her white lace bra. He smiled looking at her delicate figure as his mouth began working on her breasts threw the fabric. Kagome moaned out as Inu-yasha began to lick and nip threw the fabric, torturing her slowly. His smirk never ceased as he saw her reaction to his touch. Thinking he tortured her enough he removed the bra with a flick of his wrist. The bra fell open leaving two pale and perfectly rounded breasts. He leaned down too kiss her too touch her all over when he noticed something.

 

 

Beyond the door

There's peace I'm sure

Kagome was feeling something she never felt was possible to feel. The moment would always stay to her mind. What she didn't know was that time was going to ruin it for her.

 

Her heart was slowing down, almost to a complete stop. Her breathing had become kaboured. Inu-yasha realized this and looked down at her; tears were once again filling in his eyes. He had almost forgotten that death was at her doorstep and at this stage there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.

 

"Don't worry Inu"

 

"I can't help but too" he replied as he grabbed her hand and held it too him. His other hand was acting as a pillow underneath her head.

 

"I'll only be gone a little while" Then all of a sudden her body went limp, her heart stopped beating and her breathing had come to a complete stop.

"A little is still too long, My Kagome" he whispered. Then he picked up her limp body and ran as fast as he could to Sesshomaru's, hoping that he would give him a helping hand. While running through the woods only four words came out of his mouth. "I love you Kagome."
