Death in Life: Series 1
I see his dead eyes... Blood over his body... Hate wells up inside over the half-demon that killed him... Naraku... The name that I will always hate... Tears flow from my eyes as I prepare my bow for the final shot... The blast from the arrow and the pain in my heart give the arrow's aura a red glow. Slowly, the arrow hits Naraku's heart, shattering the demon inside. I have purified him, he is gone, forever. After, I faint from loss of blood and heartache. All I see is Kikyo with her hands out, doing something to Inuyasha...

"Huh?" Kagome says, trying to get up, but falling backwards from her wounds. "Ow.. Where's Inu..." Sorrow comes back. Kagome knows that her only love, Inuyasha, is dead.
Again, tears fall from her blue-gray eyes. She hears someone come into the hut, it is Sango, Kagome immediately gets up and crys on her shoulder.
"It's ok, Kagome, it's ok..." Sango coaxed her. "It's ok..."
"No, *sniff*, he's dead..." Kagome sobbed into her shoulder. "He's never coming back!" Kagome broke into a fresh batch of tears.
"Feh, shut up." Kagome threw her head up so fast, she got a crick, but that didn't matter. "Inuyasha?"
Sango looked worried. "Kagome, I hate to say it, but Inuyasha's dead."
"No! I just saw him! No..." Kagome screamed, then sobbed into her shoulder again. "Inuyasha!!!"
'She's starting to hallusonate...' Sango thought worryingly. 'She can't come to his funeral...' Sango layed Kagome on her cot. "You've had a very rough day, Kagome." Sango said soothingly. "You need to sleep..." Sango said and walked out and from what Kagome heard, started to talk to Miroku.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome cried into the pillow, soon enough, crying herself into a decision. She had to leave the Feudal age forever...

Very early the next day, Kagome silently packed, sobbing quietly to herself, making sure she didn't wake up Sango, Miroku, Shippo, or Kirara.She slowly walked, thinking more and more about Inuyasha, the image of his death playing back slowly. Tears welled up in her eyes, his eyes, his body, and his Tetsusaiga... She loved everything about him. Finally, she arrived at the well.
"Inuyasha, I will be back..." Kagome said finaly, and let the bluish aura of the well overcome her.
9 years later*
25-year old Kagome had just gotten back from weapons practice. "Wow, that was a workout!" She said to herself, walking to her brand-new car. Kagome had really grown up, she now wore an up ponytail like Sango's and graduated at the top of her high school class and was done with college, even though she had been gone in a different demension(sp?). She no longer wore a skirt, she now wore blue khakis and different color tops.
"Well, time to visit mom!" Kagome exclaimed happily, starting up her car. "And, time to see the well..." She could feel a sinking of her heart when she thought of Sango, Shippo, Miroku, Kirara, and her hearthrob, Inuyasha.
"One day, i'll have to come back... And today is the day!" She said confidently, about a mile from her destination. "It's time..."
"Oh, shut up wench..." Kagome looked around quickly, seeking for the maker of that phrase. "Inuyasha?" Kagome said quietly to herself. "Hello? EK!!!!" She had been walking so long, she didn't notice the well in front of her and she fell in.
"AHHH!!!!!!" Kagome screamed, falling into the familiar bluish glow.
BAM
"Ow... That hurt..." She said, rubbing her behind. "Hmmm, well, I guess i'd better start towards the village..." She choked on those words, there was no village, there were no camps, there was nothing, Kaede's village was a smoldering ruin.
"Oh my god..." Kagome sobbed to herself. Suddenly, an arrow went whizzing past her head. "What do you want?" Said a mysteriously familiar voice from behind the ruined trees.
A now, older Shippo walked out. "What do you want?!" He barked again.
"It's me, Kagome, Shippo..." Kagome explained.
"Huh?" Shippo looked confused, but quickly regained his composure. "Kagome,... It's been so long..."
"What has happened Shippo?" Kagome asked.
"You left." Shippo said simply.
