He stared at me horrified, the same expression that he’d had when he saw me standing in the class. His expression changed to regret, pain, agony. I had no idea why he was feeling this. Wasn’t I the one hurt? He stared at my tear streaked face, the picture in my arms, my wet dress, and finally my blood shot eyes. That’s when I finally understood. When I looked into those beautiful amber eyes of his, I finally understood what was wrong with me.
I had fallen in love with Inuyasha.
~Now~
He stepped forward slowly, every step he took gave him a better look at me. Finally when he got in front of me he fell to his knees and hugged me to his chest. I didn’t move, I sat there and sniffled. I noticed how my tears didn’t wet his shirt. I guess I’m the only one who can feel my tears. He shook and let out a strangled breath.
“I’m sorry…” He choked out, his voice breaking a little on sorry. I wrapped my arms around him and dug my face in his chest.
“She just caught me by surprise, I just didn’t know how to push her away. I kept thinking you’d pop up to stop her,” he drew in a shaky breath “And you did. But a little to late. I went blank. I’m so sorry.”
He pulled my face up to his and caught one of my tears. Well, tried to. It went right past his finger. He frowned and I looked down. “Yeah, my tears aren’t exactly real. But really, I’m not so real myself.” He smiled weakly down at me. “I just wanted to say that I’m really sorry Kagome. You don’t have to forgive me now. Or ever. But…” He cupped my cheek.
“I love you Kagome. I noticed that this morning. How much I loved hearing you stand up for me and saying I was your boyfriend just to get her off of me, that was brave.” He looked away. “But I didn’t really think you felt the same. I mean, really? Who’d like me?”
I mumbled, “Kikyo?” He scoffed and looked down at me again, his eyes soft. “I don’t care about her.” He whispered to me.
I smiled slightly, pleased with that. “So… how do you feel?” He asked me after a while. I looked up at him with wide eyes, “Huh?” he frowned. “You know… about me?” I blinked, “Oh,” was all I could say.
Should I really tell him? Well of course you should, he just told you he loved you! Well what if he’s just playing with me or just trying to make me feel better!? Oh please, why would he do that to you at a time like this?! I argued with myself until I came up with my decision. I’d tell him.
“I…” I swallowed hard, “I love you too.” He blinked stared at me for a while and then smiled widely. I smiled back at me.
He leaned down slowly and I looked at him wide eyed and all he did was smile. He was an inch from my lips and I was breathing heavily.
Inuyasha’s lips finally touched mine and my heart burst. I wrapped my arms around him tighter and smiled against his lips. We let go after a while and we leaned against each others foreheads. My eyes were closed. “Kagome?” He whispered. “Yeah?” I opened my eyes and then I was surprised to see a bright light all around me. I gasped. “You’re….You’re all light up.” He gasped.
I looked down at myself and my whole entire body was engulfed in a shining pink, blue, and white light.
ANOTHER CLIFF HANGER!!! :D lol hope you guys enjoyed this chapter I think the next chapter is going to be the end. : ( awes….lol. Well REVIEW POR FAVOORR!!
