I don't own Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, or Kirara…they belong to the talented Ms. Takahashi and I'm grateful she gave us this wonderful universe to play with!

 

For this site I've combined these two drabbles which were written in answer to Forthrightly's LJ Challenge “The Perfect Kiss.” They take place in chapter 55 of `Facets of the Living Jewel' just before Sesshoumaru and Kirara return from the lake. The neko demon is sitting in the taiyoukai's lap as they finger-comb each other's wet hair after she has explained her form of submission to him. “Rose” is from Sesshoumaru's point of view and “Sweet” is Kirara's response.

 

 

A Rose by Any Other Name

`You will submit in my way, jigokuneko.'

 

Resisting the siren song of her purr, the demon lord moved his hand upward until he delicately brushed the angle of her jaw with each stroking touch. He incrementally changed the movement so that he was extending his long fingers under her chin and caressing the silken skin there.

 

Kirara's purr deepened and she tilted her head to one side, leaning into the pressure of his touch. With her neck finally bared to him, he leaned in and placed the `Forgiving Alpha' kiss on the soft pulsations near her throat.

 

`Perfect,' Sesshoumaru gloated.

 

 

Would Smell as Sweet

`So, Pfffffft Hhhsssss, you tricked me into submission? You're pacified, you've released my youki, and I can do exactly what I want.'

 

She transformed to her kitten form and jumped to his shoulder, rubbing her cheek glands against his jaw to mark him with pheromones.

 

`You think this is a Neko kiss, but I'm just claiming My property.'

 

She burrowed under his kegawa and made sure that her damp fur left an indelible scent.

 

`Purrfect.'

Translations:

Jigokuneko: hell cat

Pfffffft Hhhsssss is Neko for Bad Dog and is considered a particularly rude Neko insult

Kegawa: fur, skin, or pelt.
