Disclaimer: Inuyasha is not owned by me or by you so shut the hell up you fucking fagot! (o.o over reacted there, huh?)
A/N: Hello everyone. This is an Inuyasha Kagome Fic so ya know. Miroku and Sango are in it and are indeed together. Well not yet but I'm planning on it. As far as Kouga and them being in it? I'm pretty sure they will. Oh! and I hate kikyou ( -- doesn't deserve a capitol K :P o.o)
Inuyasha lay in his much comfortable bed, wishing that he could stay like that forever when a knock could be heard at his door. He growled slightly and said nothing in the hopes that the person would assume he was not there and leave. But after a couple of seconds there were another knock, followed by the familiar voice of his father.
"Inuyasha, I know your in there! Get your lazy ass up!" ordered InuTashio from the other side of the door.
"What do you want!" yelled Inuyasha, to his father.
"Your mother and I need to talk to you, it's very important!" InuTashio informed him.
Inuyasha sighed in defeat and got up, stretching a bit. "I'll be there in five." He hollered to his father and hearing his retreating foot steps.
Inuyasha looked out the window towards his kingdom. Well...his soon to be kingdom. In the favor of his brother for falling in love with some girl and becoming the king of her fathers land. Making him, Inuyasha, the heir to the Western Lands. He would be King soon. And he would protect his land. He would be proud to rule over it. Proud being an understatement. He would be honored. With that he tore his gaze from the window and headed to where his mother and father resided.
Somewhere else . . .
"Miss Kagome, your mother and father wish your presence." said a very pretty maid, name, Kagome didn't know.
"Tell them I'll be right there, please." Kagome told her. The maid bowed respectfully and left the room, closing the door behind her.
Kagome sighed as she quickly took a look in the mirror. She had her beautiful raven hair in a low ponytail. Her chocolate brown eyes were decorated in eye makeup and her pale skin was naturally rosy around her cheeks. She gazed at her appearance a second longer then left to the throne room.
She entered to find her mother and father talking to each other with troubled faces. She cleared her throat to make her presence known to both her parents. They immediately stopped talking and looked at her, smiling.
"Hello, Kagome dear. How are you?" asked her father, sweetly.
"I'm fine, father. You and mother wished to speak with me?" she reminded them.
"Oh yes we did, Kagome honey. We have spoken before about you getting married and---" Queen Higurashi was cut off by Kagome.
"Yes we have mother and you know that I have no desire to be married AT ALL!" Kagome said, suggestively to her mother.
"Well, yes, Kagome, but you have to." the King said to her.
"W-what do you mean! I told you before! I'm not getting married unless I'm in undying love and I do not see that happening anytime soon!" Kagome yelled at her father in a voice rising in volume with each word.
"Kagome, you have turned down all other marriage proposals. So your father and I have come to the terms that we must pick for you, and it just so happens that we found another kingdom with a son they want to get married so we made a decision with them that you and their son shall be getting married." Her mother told her.
Kagome stood there, mouth open in utter shock at the Queen's words. They did NOT just do this to her! They did NOT just hand over their only daughter to...to...some PEOPLE! How dare they! And to make the rage and hurt she felt, her mother went on:
"Your things will be packed. The Western Lands are coming to the ball that will be held tomorrow and you will be going home with them the next day." Queen Higurashi finished and reached over to the side table for a glass of water.
"But...But..." Kagome held back the tears that were yearning to come out in her defense.
"Our decision is final, Kagome." Her father said rather sternly.
Kagome turned around from her parents and ran. She ran out of the throne room and down halls and up staircases until she reached her destination. Her room. She threw herself upon the satin covers of her bed and cried for all she was worth.
"Why!"The question rang in her head. Why her!
Palace of the western lands . . .
Inuyasha entered the room King InuTashio and Queen Izayoi were in.
"What'ya want?" Inuyasha asked in a almost bored like manner.
"Oh hello, dear." Queen Izayoi greeted in a singsong voice.
"Well, what did you want?" he asked again.
The King took in a deep breath. He then looked Inuyasha straight in the eye and begun his explanation: "You are getting married. Don't argue with me. We are leaving in one hour to journey to their Kingdom for a ball then we are taking her home with us and for two months, you will get to know her and then marry her. Shut up! I don't want to hear it! No we are not betraying you. No you can't get out of this and yes I am hungry. Thank you." He said that last part to a servant asking him if he was hungry and if he wanted whatever was on the tray he was holding.
Inuyasha hadn't even said anything (to shocked) but yet his father answered every one of his objections and questions in his mind. Inuyasha growled and stormed out of the room, but not before seeing his mother’s apologetic expression on her face.
Inuyasha stomped out of the castle and ran down the path to the garden and jumped into his favorite tree. How could they just lay all that on him like that. Damn it! He didn't want to get married! He wanted to rule over his kingdom alone. Without having a stupid woman telling how to do everything and claim that she loved him! He hated his parents right then. He sighed and then his ears picked up footsteps coming his way and then the familiar scent of his best friend Miroku.
"Hey! Inuyasha! I'd never thought I would see you here!" Miroku said sarcastically, smiling up at him from below. He knew that this was Inuyasha's favorite spot.
"What do you want Miroku!" Inuyasha practically growled toward Miroku. Miroku blinked a second, holing up his hands in a defensive way.
"Woah! What the hell's wrong with you?" Miroku asked.
"Feh! Whatever! I'm not telling you." Inuyasha stated plainly, turning away from him.
"Whatever to you too man, but your mom sent me to find you and tell you that they're ready to leave. Now tell me my friend. Where is it that you are going?" Miroku asked curiously.
Inuyasha sighed. "They betrothed me to some girl and we're going to go get her."
"They betrothed you! Oh this is priceless!" Miroku began but stopped and made his happy face into a concerned one. "Truly dreadful, Inuyasha. So dreadful that I am forced to go with you and as your best friend, to check her out."
"Shut up and lets go you stupid monk!" Inuyasha said as he jumped down from his tree and begun walking to the carriages in the front of the castle. Miroku followed close behind, humming quietly to himself.
Higurashi Palace . . .
Kagome sat in front of her mirror brushing her hair when Sango, her best friend, came running in out of breath.
"Kagome!" Sango huffed.
"What?" Kagome asked, blinking at Sango.
"I heard the bad news." Sango said as she sat on Kagome's bed.
Kagome sighed. "Yeah, bummer huh?"
Sango hugged her. "I'm so sorry or you."
Kagome hugged her back. "It's okay. Hey! I have to go live at his house in a couple of months. Will you come with me?" (a/n: Sango's parents are dead in this, okay?)
Sango brightened up a little at hearing this. "Yes! Of course!" Sango agreed gratefully. They hugged once again then heard the trumpets sound. Signaling Kagome's worst fear had come. Sango and Kagome separated and smiled at one another. "You ready?" Sango asked.
Kagome nodded and they walked out of her room. They came out with everyone else as the carriage was opened, by some servants dressed in red velvet. (I don't know -.-;)
The first person who came out of the carriage was a tall, dark, silver haired man. He had his silver hair in a ponytail and as she was studying his hair she noticed his ears. They were pointed like a...a...NO! He was a demon!
The man helped an elegant woman out of the carriage. She was gorgeous. She had black hair that laid along her back. Her dress was lovely as well. It was simple but appropriate. The color was unique. Kagome had never seen such a shade of blue. The woman smiled at the man and then looked towards the next carriage as another figure came out.
He came out and Kagome gasped. The silver hair, the adorable dog-ears atop his head. His piercing golden eyes met her gaze and she saw a flash of surprise before he quickly turned away.
She watched as her father shook the man's hand and her mother hugged the woman. She turned to Sango, who's attention was on another man who had came out after the one that had spiked her own attention.
He was a very handsome young man indeed. He had black hair and violet eyes. And he wore priest robes of black and purple. He grinned when he saw Sango.
A/N: How'd ya like that? Review! Until next chapter. Byes.
