The Neko with Three Personalities

"Hm hmm." Rin hummed to herself, skipping through the forest, occasionally stopping and picking several flowers and stuffing them into the pockets of her kimono or adorning her brown hair with them. Her chocolate eyes sparkled with joy as she made flower picking her new hobby, trying to pass the time quickly.

"Kallie-san, are we there yet?" Rin glanced back at her new inu friend, Kallie, she had met about two weeks ago. She had long lavender hair and eyes, white doggy ears like InuYasha, and a silky white doggy tail that was happily swishing back and forth. The inu girl shook her head, smiling at Rin and her enthusiasm. It was such a beautiful day out and what better way to spend it than by sitting on the riverbank relaxing by the water.

Though, the calm atmosphere was soon interrupted by thrashing, splashing, and meowing coming from the river just ahead of them. Swiftly picking Rin up in her arms, Kallie fought their way through the remaining brush, setting Rin down as they reached the river. Rin was the first to notice the young neko flailing around in the water, approaching him and bending down.

"Ohhh! Kawaii koneko!" She squealed, giggling at the struggling neko. She was completely unaware he wasn't capable of swimming and he was in fact drowning. Kallie, on the other hand, knew he was in trouble, gently moving Rin aside and lifting the neko from the water by the collar of the dress he was wearing. She set him down on the ground and watched him breathe in and out quickly. In only a matter of seconds, she nearly fell to the ground as the neko clung to her leg despite that neither of them knew each other.

"Uhm, what are you doing?" Kallie stared at him, shaking her leg and trying to get him to release her. He was soaking wet and managing to get her leg wet as well. When he refused to let go of her, Kallie feeling rather violated right now, she grabbed him by the nape of his neck, trying to pry him off and succeeded in getting the neko to release her leg. He only meowed and tried to cling back on to her, but Kallie dropped him on the ground and backed away, letting Rin take over.

"Kallie-san you're sooooo strong!" She nodded her head, though as soon as the boy was placed on the ground, Rin tackled him before the neko could get back to Kallie's leg, starting to play with his ears. She giggled, moving them in different ways. He hissed at her though, pushing her off of him and scrambling to get away. He looked scared and angry, either going to run or hurt someone. Rin's pout started there as she was denied access to his ears, her lower lip quivering and her eyes starting to water. The tears came quickly, upset with both the fact that he had clung on to -her- Kallie-san and that he wasn't letting her play with him. Kallie was way ahead of Rin, already having taken refuge in a tree and pulling her doggy ears down flat against her head so her cries didn't sound as loud.

The neko boy meowed loudly, his sensitive ears full of Rin's cries. He wasn't here to be annoyed by some little girl, actually only liking older girls who were more like a mother figure. And Rin definitely wasn't. He yelled at her to stop, though his voice was lost as she whined louder about wanting to play with `the kitty'.

Now, he wasn't just any ordinary neko, he was different. He snarled at Rin, his evil side coming out immediately as he lunged at the girl, tackling Rin to the ground and pinning her there. He opened his mouth and put his sharp fangs to her neck, daring her to keep up her temper tantrum.

Rin `meeped' and stopped, tears still coming from her eyes but not another sound from her mouth. She was terrified, not wanting to get bitten or worse. She shut her eyes tightly before yelling, "Kallie-san, the kitty went crazy!"

The inu youkai might have been holding her ears so the sound of Rin's cries weren't that loud, but she could still here. She looked up when Rin had stopped crying, wondering why and soon getting her answer as her only nigen friend yelled that `the kitty had gone crazy'.

"Shut up you little brat," he snarled, scraping his fangs across her neck. Though, he felt his face being pushed back and to the side by the youkai's foot, looking up at Kallie and snarling at her. He muttered some words in his own neko language, probably calling her a bitch and so on, but he didn't want a broken jaw seeing as how the woman could easily give him one. He scooted back away from Rin, glaring as the inu youkai picked the girl up into her arms. She backed away, hissing at the neko as Rin snuggled up to Kallie in her arms, feeling safer now that she was away from that psycho cat. She turned and started to walk off, not wanting to fight a child who she'd obviously injure if the two of them fought.

But the neko wasn't satisfied as he snarled, "Hey, where do you think you're going? I'm not done with either of you!" He rolled his eyes, following behind them and muttering that she was a stupid inu.

"That brat needs to be taught it's not nice to pull on someone's ears or let alone to just touch people she doesn't know. And she needs to learn not all kitties are nice and want to play," he growled, claws slipping out of his paws as he bared his fangs, looking very ready to fight Kallie whether she wanted to or not. The inu was irritated, sighing in agitation as she turned half way to face the neko, glaring at him. "Well I'm done with you. And Rin's not a brat, just a little girl who likes attention. She just wanted to play, and I'd say you're lucky seeing as how I really don't like `kitties' all that much."

She turned around and started walking, not a very smart move as Suki darted in front of her, jumping in the air and landing behind Kallie, swiping his claws for her as he landed. He was hoping for Rin, and he probably would have hit her with his attack had it not been for Kallie moving out of the way. Though, the neko was through with attacks now, his eyes watering some as he reverted back to his normal, childish self. Kallie felt a growl rise from the back of her throat as she moved to set Rin down to fight the neko, but the boy only scampered up to her and bowed his head in apology, grabbing on to Kallie's ankle.

"Gomen ne! I don't wanna fight you," he said, whimpering some as he continued to bow and apologize. "Nikumi-san was just being mean. But Suki-chan is nice, really. I don't want to fight."

Kallie stared down at him, raising an eyebrow. He really -was- a psycho cat. This was getting too weird for her, she decided, pulling her ankle from Suki's grasp. "Right, well I'm just going to go now." She wasn't going to stick around for this, walking off to leave him.

"Iie! Please don't go! I don't wanna be left here with the other Youkai," he started to whimper again, being able to smell other youkai now coming into the area to find out what all the crying had been. He raced after her as she started to walk away, clinging to her leg again and promising `Nikumi-san' would be good.

"Look. You're kawaii and all, but I don't know you and I really think it's best for us to stay away from people who refer to themselves in the third person. And who say they're two people…" She sighed, letting him cling to her as she watched his blue eyes start to fill with tears. He promised to her again that he'd be good and he wouldn't try to hurt the nigen again. Kallie sighed again, this one more heavy as she nodded her head a little as to say `Fine, you can tag along'. Though, that only meant another child for her to take care of. Not to mention, he was completely insane! He had split personalities.

"So, what did you say your name was again?" Kallie asked, glancing at him as he bounded up beside her.

"My name is Suki-chan!" he purred delightedly since she said she didn't know who he was. He might as well tell her now that he could travel with her. "Nikumi was just here a while ago, he won't apologize for what he did though but I'm sorry, I promise I won't let him do that again," he assured, nodding his head as if that made a world of a difference. He started to jabber about his three personalities, him being Suki-chan and the two other people he shared his body with were Suki and Nikumi, the personality she had met a little while ago. Rin was calmed down now, falling asleep as they walked.

They were heading west, Kallie not paying any attention as to where they were going, only trying to think up ways as how to get rid of Suki… and possibly Rin so she wouldn't have to take care of anyone but herself. She was only eighteen after all. As they grew closer to the Western Lands, Nikumi was bothering Suki-chan about them trespassing on The Great Sesshoumaru-sama's lands. Suki tried not to listen, but as they passed the borders and into the Western Lands, he couldn't ignore Nikumi.

"Uhm, Kallie-san? Nikumi-san says," he paused, listening to Nikumi and nodding inwardly to himself, "we are on Sashomanu-sama's lands?" He was asking himself, cringing as Nikumi yelled at him and corrected that his name was Sesshoumaru. "Oh, Sesshoumaru, Sesshoumaru-sama. Yeah. Nikumi-san said he rules over these lands and he's very dangerous," he purred out with another one of those nods that had no affect really.

"Really? Well then tell Nikumi that he should keep to himself and leave me the hell alone." She was in a bad mood and was going to be taking directions or even listening to someone she thought was mental. It was stupid. Besides, maybe she could drop Suki with this Sesshoumaru-sama since he seemed to know so much about him. Kallie wasn't paying attention any more, though, and really didn't notice the scent in the air changing as they were getting closer to the Western Lands. She was exhausted and wasn't about to take orders from a kid, even though now would have been a good time to.

Sesshoumaru had been out patroling his borders, making sure there weren't any intruders. In a matter of minutes, he had caught their scent and was moving at a face pace towards the group, now in view. Suki made a meeping sound, staring at the handsome taiyoukai coming their way. Kallie glanced down at Suki, wondering why had just `meeped'. She followed his gaze and soon she too noticed Sesshoumaru.

A snarl worked it's way from his throat as he approached them, not even saying anything as he glared at Kallie since she was the oldest one and besides one was a human and the other cat. Why would he want to talk to them?

Kallie tilted her head as she watched Sesshoumaru stop a few feet in front of them. He must have been the taiyoukai `Nikumi' was talking about. She glanced back at Suki, raising an eyebrow at him as she watched his eyes not leaving Sesshoumaru. It almost looked like he was going to drool. Sesshoumaru snarled again, wondering why this stupid inu girl wasn't paying him any attention. He was the Lord of the Western Lands! Kallie bent over towards Suki, a brilliant thought on her mind.

"Suki, why don't you go say hi?" She suggested, standing up straight and nudging him forwards. Kallie knew it wouldn't be the smartest thing to say to a kid with three different people in him since Nikumi seemed rather intelligent about the whole 'Sesshoumaru' matter. But if Sesshoumaru didn't freak out, Suki could stay with him and she'd be kitty cat free.

"Ne? Iie!" he whimpered, blushing as he looked back at Sesshoumaru who was gazing down at him momentarly since Kallie was speaking with him. "A-anou," he muttered, looking up at Kallie as she stood and then back to Sesshoumaru who seemed to be waiting for the neko to say hi to him since Kallie told him too.

Don't do it, don't ... no you baka I said don't! Nikumi snarled at him as Suki stepped forward.

"K-konnichiwa, Se-se-sesshoumaru-sama," he stuttered, bowing to the Youkai Lord who was raising a silver brow in slight amusement as well as confusion. Why was the little brat blushing so badly? And how come he had actually listened to Kallie, he wasn't that stupid was he?

"Baka," Sesshou growled, causing Suki to whimper and stand up straight again, his little body trying to move back towards Kallie but he had the feeling that she wasn't going to protect him. "Why are you here?" Sesshoumaru questioned, though it was more aimed at Kallie than Suki and soon his golden eyes were gazing at the girl while waiting for an answer, though he was moving closer to the trembling neko.

"Ahem. Well... I don't know. Because... Suki and I wanted to meet the great Sesshoumaru-sama!" She grinned, proud of herself for sounding so genuine with her lie. Now if he would just be a little nicer, Suki could go live a nice happy life with him... Maybe even Rin too. And to her luck, Rin was starting to wake up, the noise of people talking disturbing her sleep.

"Eh..? Oooh! Another friend for Rin!" She bounced up and down in Kallie's arms, holding her arms out and wanting Sesshoumaru to pick her up and play with her. Kallie just stood there, smiling at him like this was normal, though she knew it wasn't and really just wanted to leave Rin next to Suki and... run.

Sesshoumaru stared at Kallie like she was insane, having not one, but two crazy kids. What the -hell- was going on? It had been a long time since anyone was dumb enough to come to his lands but now there was this bunch, this crazy bunch who he just wanted to get rid of, though he had a feeling that wouldn't work. And why was that boy, Suki she had called him, why was he staring at him like that. It looked like a teenage girl who had just seen the hottest boy in the village. It made him cringe slightly. Then he realized Rin was holding her arms out to him.

"You don't really expect me to hold that worthless thing do you?" he snarled at Kallie, refusing to address Rin. He turned his head away, not even wanting to look at the little nigen. "I guess your neko friend is okay, if he'd just stop staring at me like that. But not it." Referring to Rin when he said `it'.

Suki smiled slightly and looked from Kallie to Sesshoumaru, he didn't seem to hate him... probably because he was a youkai at least. Slowly and carefully the neko moved over to the taiyoukai and with a shocked expression he rose up into the air and could see much further than he ever thought. Was he flying? No... he hadn't realized his arms were extended like Rin's and for some reason Sesshoumaru was actually obeying and picking him up, holding him close like a son, or a brother, or a lover… Either way, it made Suki squeal in excitement, clinging on to Sesshoumaru and nuzzling his head into his shoulder. Sesshoumaru glanced at him, looking rather amused with the attention he was getting.

"Well, how about her? She worth anything?" Obviously referring to Rin again, he was starting to get the hint Kallie didn't want the kids anymore. He would, not gladly take them, but they'd make fairly good servants to him.

"Neh, -Rin's- not worthless." Kallie said, hugging Rin and stressing her name so Sesshoumaru wouldn't just refer to the nigen as `her' or `it' or `thing'. She was pretty adorable once you got used to the fact she was a nigen and had a lot of emotions that she was capable of going through in matter of hours. Rin wasn't phased by what Sesshoumaru had asked, at least not yet. She watched as he picked Suki up, frowning and crossing her arms. Rin sniffed, looking sad that she wasn't getting the attention anymore.

"No fair! No fair!" She was starting to dislike Suki more and more. She was the attention getter around here. And besides, she was cuter, well, that's what she thought. As she sat there in Kallie's arms, she glanced around at random things, something large and white catching her eye. Rin gasped, pointing and bouncing up and down.

"Ohhh! Playhouse, playhouse!" It was Sesshoumaru's palace, or at least part of it since it was hidden by lots of trees. But to her, it was like a doll house, only larger and more pretty.

Turning to walk in the direction Rin was beginning to freak out about, Sesshoumaru turned his head to stare at her. Had she spotted his home, is that what she was spazzing about? He sure as hell hoped not. Following her gaze he growled, damn brat. If she had to go there he was going to go insane.

"We're leaving now, get off of my land or I'll come and kill you anyway," he grumbled angrily, obviously on his last nerve at this point. Stalking away from the two girls, he allowed for Suki to run alongside him, the neko being rather obedient already and never moving away from his side as they moved towards the large 'doll house'.

"No, no, no!" Rin yelled, fidgiting in Kallie's arms. She wanted to follow them and play in Sesshoumaru's dollyhouse. Kallie put Rin down, not wanting to hold her when she was squirmy. Rin quickly ran after Sesshoumaru, tugging on his fluff and looking at him with her big chocolate brown eyes. She pointed at the house, whimpering and making a puppy-dog-pouting face.

Kallie was quite happy she was going to keep her life after having wandered on to the taiyoukai's land, though, as Rin made her way over to the youkai lord, she just stared. She had already started to back off his lands as Sesshoumaru had asked of them. Rin was on her own on this one... besides, he wouldn't really hurt her, would he?

They were about to find out. Kallie stared as Sesshoumaru turned to face the little girl, Suki stopping too to look at her, imitating Sesshoumaru.

"Uhg, get off." He pulled his fluff from her hands, not wanting her of all people touching anything on him. "What do you want?" he narrowed his eyes at Rin even though he knew she wanted to go to his house. "If you go there you won't be playing, you'll be doing everything I tell you to and if you're good you might get rewarded though I highly doubt you'd be any good," he growled, looking ready to turn and walk away from her.

He didn't even care about Kallie anymore, she was doing what he had told her, though he was sort of pissed that she let the little human girl get away. Figures, she probably planned on doing that the whole time. No, he probably wouldn't kill Rin... maybe he'd hurt her really bad, but she could possibly be a good servant since he hadn't had a good young girl servant for a long time. He did have a lolita complex after all, being attracted to young girls and everything, she might be good for that much.

Kallie watched Rin, half of her hoping for Rin to walk right back to her side and the other half wanting her to go with Sesshoumaru.

When the fluff was pulled from her hands, Rin looked up at Sesshoumaru, glancing at Kallie and then back to him. "Would Sesshoumaru-sama hurt Rin? Kallie-san would never hurt Rin."

She had done lots of work before so that part wouldn't be a problem. But she didn't like Suki and she was sure he didn't like her, so who would she have to play with and who would save her from Sesshoumaru when he got mad at her?

"I'd only hurt Rin if she disobeyed me," Sesshoumaru grumbled, continuing once more to walk towards his palace. Suki hesitated, smiling and waving at Kallie, smiling over at Rin as well before prancing off to catch up with Sesshoumaru. Suki didn't hate her and as long as she didn't annoy him she wouldn't have to worry about Nikumi trying to kill her. If she came he might have a friend there, if she didn't hate him, and if she didn't then it didn't make much of a difference to him.

Rin had made up her mind, waving at Kallie and Kallie waving back at her as Rin turned and followed after Sesshoumaru and Suki, walking towards their new home with the two of them.
