InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ The bond that can't be broken ❯ Chapter 1

         &nb sp;Looking back on it Kagome still couldn’t believe it was over. Naraku their enemy for the last two years finally dead. “ The shikon no tama is complete Naraku is gone, It finally over”. Looking around for her companions, she spotted Kiarara licking Shippo’s wounds, the little kit put up a good fight never once giving up.” He tried so hard to protect me.....Im so glad he’s okay”.Spotting Sango not to far off, holding her younger brother Kohaku, with the last bit of control he had left he gave his life to protect his sister. Upon doing so, Naraku savagely ripped the shard that held his life out. Sango cries block out most of the sound in the forest clearing they were in.” OH god Sango.....I wish their was something I could do to ease you pain...”

       &n bsp;   The next person Kagome notice was Miroku sitting against a tree, staring at his right hand. As soon as Naraku was defeated, the wind tunnel in his right hand vanished.” Miroku’s wind tunnel is final gone..........Im so happy for him now he has no excuse for being a hentai! ,Sango needs him now more then ever.....go to her Miroku...”

 Almost like he heard Kagome’s thoughts, Miroku got up to make his way over to his bride- to- be side, holding them both close Miroku whispered a pray for Kohaku. “He’ll get her though this I know he will..”

        &n bsp; The next person or should I say persons she spotted where Kouga and Ayame. Kouga protected Ayame, and swore to her that they would be mated after they defeated Naraku . “ I guess he’s finally over me....that’s a good thing, cause I was really getting tried of all of that ‘ MY WOMAN” crap” she thought. Many of her companions where alright giving them the once over, Kagome notice they had a couple of broken bones and wounds, “nothing Keade can’t heal with her herb”.

           Sesshoumaru was the next person she saw, in his arm was that little girl “Rin was it”, yes Rin the little girl who follows Sesshoumaru everywhere he went, he cradled her in his arms. She was also hurt by Naraku, during the battle she ran to help Sesshoumaru after he took a nasty blow from him. By doing so she took in a lot of Naraku’s miasma nearly killing her. If it wasn’t for Sesshoumaru she would be dead,”And here I thought he hated humans....yet he seems to really care for the girl to risk his life to save her, just goes to show you never judge a book by it’s cover or in Sesshoumaru’s case iceberg” Kagome thought with a giggle. But looking into Sesshoumaru’s eyes she notice he wasn’t looking at Rin, his eyes where focus on something else, something that made Kagome dread looking in the direction he was looking to. Sesshoumaru’s eyes where out of character for him, he seem in pain almost like something was breaking his heart, none of this showed on his face but Kagome could tell by looking in his eyes. Slowly her head turned into the direction he was staring at, her heart was pounding deep within her chest...................lying in an open field.......................the one person..................who owned her heart and soul..................................covered in blood..................not moving.......dead..........dead...........DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          “IN UYASHA!!!” Kagome’s cried finally able to lift her legs, she sprints over to him. Looking into his face she notice the dry blood coving his mouth, the vacate stare in his eyes, their was so much blood to much. How could this had happen? When did it happen she didn’t understand. Dropping down on to her knees, Kagome cradled Inuyasha’s head in he lap, as stray tears kept falling from her eyes. “no......no....NO!, you promised me!...oh gods.........INUYASHA!”. Hearing Kagome’s cries the others watched on with such anguish, their friend, no more like brother was dead gone.

          &n bsp;Sesshoumaru watched as the young miko his brother loved so much cry over his body, setting Rin down on her feet Sesshoumaru turns to Jaken and tell him to look after Rin . Walking over to the heartbreaking scene, Sesshoumaru looks down on the miko “ Step aside girl”.Sesshoumaru stated on his cold emotionless voice his face was a complete mask of ice, but his eyes told a different story....

         &nbs p;“YOU WILL NOT TAKE HIM FROM ME...I DON’T CARE PLEASE JUST LET...OH GOD JUST LET ME BE!”She wailed her voice cracking, looking up into Sesshoumaru’s still painful eyes, Kagome could still see the deep anguish he was in something wasn’t right, she thought Sesshoumaru would be glad that inuyasha was gone, after all the times he tried to kill him .”YOU GOT YOUR WISH SO WHY WONT YOU LET USE BE!”. She knew she should listen to him and move, but she still didn’t totally trust Sesshoumaru, or was it that she wasn’t in her right mind.

          &l dquo;Miko, if you want my brother back YOU STAND DOWN NOW!” his voice boomed through the forest scaring creatures deep with in,This was so out of character for Sesshoumaru, had Inuyasha’s death affect him that much..... his voice left no room for argument for Kagome. Giving Sesshoumaru a long hard stare as to say”you better not hurt him”(which he cause he’s dead..sorry fangirls) Kagome reluctantly agreed, placing Inuyasha down gently as if not to hurt him.

          &ld quo;What are you going to do to him?” She asked, stepping away

Ignoring her question, Sesshoumaru steps closer to his falling brother.”brother how could be so foolish as to let yourself be killed by that pathetic Naraku and that walking corpse you say you loved once how revolting, still I feel such pain over your death..........maybe Rin has changed me for the better or worse these emotion....I thought I let go of such trivial things in the past so why do you death leave such a ache in my gut, nevertheless brother I will bring you back!”, drawing Tensaiga Sesshoumaru waited for the creature from the underworld to come.

         &nb sp;Sango stared on with new hope if Sesshoumaru was able to bring Inuyasha back then maybe..“Miroku, if he is able to bring Inuyasha back...do you think if it possible...”Sango asked with hope in her eyes, she loved Inuyasha dearly almost like he was an unruly brother, she hope this work she saw the hope in Kagome eyes for her she hope this work but if he we able to then maybe..... maybe their was hope for Kohaku.

           “Sango any things possible.....but please don’t get your hope up we are dealing with Sesshoumaru he may just want to bring Inuyasha back for his own means, I remember Kagome-sama telling me that Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha that he be the only one to kill him....I think his death has hurt his pride.....that what he want I don’t know , who know what he has up his sleeve........I’m not saying this to hurt you, I know how much you want you brother back but.........”Miroku didn’t want to hurt her but she needed to know, that their a possibility Sesshoumaru might not resurrect Kohaku, even if he was to bring back the brother he supposable hated, besides Kohaku had kidnaped and almost kill Rin. Even if he was under Naraku’s control doesn’t guarantee that Sesshoumaru would forgive such a act.”besides Sesshoumaru my see Kohaku as weak for letting himself be controlled in such a way, knowing him he may bring Inuyasha back and walk away never looking back.....I just can’t bare seeing you in such pain Sango....so please don’t get your hopes up”He thought, pleading with Sango and comforting her at the same time.

          &l dquo;I know Miroku, I know”,”but if I have to beg or give up my life to have you back Kohaku I will, even to a cold hearted youkai like Sesshoumaru.....even if there is little hope I’ll take that over anything else.......”

       &nb sp;  Nothing. Tensaiga pulsated once and that was all. “Why tensaiga!, little brother it would seem that your soul has already passed on......I am sorry but it is to late goodbye.....Inuyasha”. Sheathing his sword Sesshoumaru turn his back to Kagome he saw the hope in her eyes to the possibility of having Inuyasha back, but it was no use he was gone dead to the world.

          & ldquo;Jaken, Rin we are leaving”Sesshoumaru called walking away.

          &l dquo;Wait! You said you’d bring him back! PLEASE SESSHOUMARU IF THERE IS ANY LOVE IN YOUR HEART FOR YOUR BROTHER PLEASE DON’T LET IT END LIKE THIS!”Kagome wailed he said he’d bring him back now he was walk away, what was with him she saw to pain in his eyes over Inuyasha’s death so why, why wasn’t he bring him back!. Inuyasha promised her......he promised.

         &nbs p;Without turning around to look at her, that pain was a reminder of something he felt along time ago “mother”, looking into her eyes would have made him want to collapse and howl in mourning over his brother. “This is to much I can’t deal with this......why does his death effect my so..........I hated him for so long so why.....was it truly hate or bitter jealousy....he was after all father’s chosen son...”.”Miko my brother has passed on there is nothing I can do, Jaken bring Au Un, Rin we are leaving”.

        &nbs p; “No....... then it’s truly over Inuyasha.........after all we’ve been through, all the promises you made to me that night.........Inuyasha why did you break your promises kami why!”.Kagome pain was to unbearable, she needed someone to blame anyone and Inuyasha was the only one close enough to blame right now, but she knew it wasn’t his fault he fought and he kept one promise the promise to protect her, so she would keep the one she made to him that night..........

        &nbs p; “Yes milord, come Rin we are leaving” Jaken the little green toad said(or whatever the fuck he is I just call him the green shit lol.)

          &l dquo;Lord please wait!”Sango cried she really needed to asked him was it possible to bring back Kohaku”this may be my only chance, if I don’t ask now I may not get another chance”,”Please lord Sesshoumaru wait!, if it possible.....I mean I know......but you see...”the word wouldn’t come out Sango didn’t know how to plead to himhe was so cold heart so emotionless who do you plead to a person or youkai like that”he’s nothing like Inuyasha.....he’s so cold”, oh god her only chance and she was ruining it, but the word just wouldn’t come out.

          See ing Sango in distress Miroku spoke for her“What my lady is trying to say lord Sesshoumaru, since it was not possible to bring Inuyasha would it be impossible to bring Kohaku back, I know he has done thing that are most unbecoming of a person but he being controlled....and he’s just a child please if it’s with in you power to bring him back we would be most grateful”,she knew she could count on Miroku in a pinch.

          B ut Sesshoumaru ignore the question, picking up Rin placing her on Au Un’s back they started off....

       &n bsp;  “Please!Sesshoumaru please”Sango begged though her tears. He couldn’t leave like this he just couldn’t.(yeah right that bastard does as he pleases....like he’s going to listen to you Sango!).

          ; But a small voice stopped him dead in his tracks...

         &nbs p;“Please Lord Sesshoumaru, Rin likes Kohaku he’s Rin’s friend please bring him back..........please” Kohaku was her friend she couldn’t bare it if she knew he could be brought back and at least try to reason with lord Sesshoumaru,” I know he try to hurt Rin, but Rin really likes him he’s a really nice person please milord save him”.

         &n bsp;Looking into those soft brown eyes of the little girl he adored.”adored hmm that’s a new feeling........what has this human done to me....but still this feeling it kind of nice”(okay I’m scared are you), nodding courtly to her Sesshoumaru walks over to Sango and Miroku staring at the two humans as he made his way over to them, passing the miko holding on to his brother with two wolves and a baby kit trying to console her, looking down on them their eyes held such hope and thanks.”I am doing this for Rin not you humans, if it was up to this Sesshoumaru he’d remain dead. Lay the boy down so I can get this over with.” Sesshoumaru had to leave soon the smell of his brothers death was getting to him, no more than a few feet away from him was his body with his head cradled once again in the miko’s lap, her soft sobs and whisper he could hear so much pain it was to overwhelming even for the great lord, he needed to go somewhere alone where he can mourn in private.(yes mourn fluffy kind of sweet in my story so don’t get mad if he’s OOC peoples)

           ;“Hai”Sango and Miroku move from Kohaku’s body to wait and see if he could be brought back.”if I have to deal with this ass to have you back it’s a small price to pay, I hope this work Kohaku....please come back to me.”

          ; Unsheathing tensaiga once more, Sesshoumaru waited for the creature from the underworld to appear, upon see them tensaiga pulsed with one full swipe of his sword the creature where dead. The boys eyes open up, and with that Sesshoumaru sheath tensaiga and walk away back to his small pack ready to make his leave.

          & ldquo;Kohaku!” Sango run to her brothers side, he was alive really alive!,” oh kami Kohaku your back!”Sango gathered her brother in her arms hugging him tightly.

           ;“Sister but how I thought Naraku killed me, how am I back”Kohaku return the embrace just as tightly. I thought for sure he was dead so who was he back....what happen.

           “Sesshoumaru brought you back, thank you lord Sesshoumaru for giving me my brother back”.Sango said tears of happiness rolling out of eyes Kohaku was back she had her brother she was truly happy again. After all that Naraku put them through he hadn’t won she had Kohaku back that’s all that mattered.

         &nbs p;“Do not thank this Sesshoumaru your thanks lies with Rin, if it hadn’t been for her your brother would still be dead this Sesshoumaru he has made that clear human.” and with one last glance in Inuyasha direction,”goodbye little brother”, Sesshoumaru and his companions were off.

          &ld quo;Bye Kohaku! Hope to see you again” Rin called from a top Au Un waving as they left.

          &l dquo;Bye Rin I hope to see you again to thank you what you did” Kohaku call he was truly happy to be alive again even if he did blame himself for a lot of events that have taken place. But to make amends he guess he would have to live, for it was easy to die but to live and atone for your sins would be the hardest thing he would have to face.”but atleast I have you sister to see me though this that’s all that matters”.

           Miroku watch the happy scene with a smile on his face, Sango was finally happy that’s all that really matter to him “she is happy that’s all that matters, her eyes use to be so sad even when we were laughing and joking she still held such coldness in the ,but now that Kohaku back maybe we can final move on and be happy”. But as he turn to Kagome the smile vanished from his face, he almost forgot the great lost they suffered at the hands of Naraku, Shippo ,Kouga ,and Ayame where comforting her the best they could right now this was not the time to be happy now was to time to mourn over a truly dear friend.”Sango I know that you are happy to have your brother back but right now.........right now Kagome-sama needs us she is truly distraught”.

        & nbsp; Oh god how could she be so selfish she forgot all about her dear friend, her sister for her own selfish needs. Kagome had been there for her though every thing, comforting her when she needed it now she was sitting here happy with her brother not even thinking of her friends pain.”oh kami Miroku how could I be so selfish, here I am sitting happy while my best friend is suffering, she needs us all I have to go to her”. Letting go of Kohaku, Sango, Miroku and Kohau ku made their way over to Kagome.

           As they walked over to her they saw her shoulder shaking from crying, Inuyasha lifeless body she clung to not even letting go. Kouga try to get her to stand up to move away so he could take Inuyasha back to Kaede’s village to be put to rest, but she’d just growl at him and told him no one is taking him away from her.

          San go upon reach Kagome saw that she was out of her mind with grief they had to reason with her some how soon, or it may be to late to properly put Inuyasha to rest.“Kagome-chan it’s me Sango, um please forgive me for being so selfish in your time of need.... I know you miss him but Kagome we need to leave her, youkais will start to come for the dead...”she watched as Kagome flinch at the word dead.”great Sango rub it in why do you”. “we need to move him somewhere safe”. She didn’t have the the heart to speak his name, if she did she would know Inuyasha was truly dead.”oh kami Inuyasha why did you have to leave her like this, in the end I guesskikyou really did get her wish for you death. Poor Kagome-chan”.

        ;   “Sango is right I can sense them we must move quickly, if we don’t they may devour him please let us put you and him on Kiarara’s back”.Looking into Kagome face she looked so calm, but she was still shaking but her face held no emotion it was almost looking at Sesshoumaru. But she finally nodded in agreement.

         &nb sp;“You wont take him from me will you” she asked in a small voice speaking was so unfamiliar to her, but she had to ask, she knew they’d have to when they got back but just for now she wanted to hold him just for a little while.......

         & nbsp;“No Kagome-chan we wont not now, where going home okay”nodding to Kouga She watched as Miroku and him take Inuyasha over to Kiarara .

          Standi ng on wobble legs Kagome tried to make her way over to them but just about collapse, luckily thanks to Sango and Ayame’s quick reflexes they where able to catch her before she fell.”Inuyasha use to be the one to catch me.......gods why did you take him from me”.

        &n bsp; “Kagome don’t worry we wont let you fall okay, where taking you to him okay” Sango said as her and Ayame helped her walk over to Kiarara.

           ;“Mama-kagome please don’t cry I hate it when you cry” Shippo said with big fat tears in his eyes, he too missed Inuyasha even though he was mean to him he knew that was just Inuyasha’s way, but he was still angry with him for making Kagome -mama cry.”Inuyasha no baka how could you do this to her, why did you have to leave....I thought we would be a family after this...”.   “Don’t worry Shippo........I’m fine ....really, just tried maybe after a little sleep I’ll be better okay”.she said, but she knew everything would never be alright again she was alone heart felt empty. ‘

           “Kagome just remember, we are here for you no matter what okay” Sango didn’t know what to say, she was at a lost what do you say to a person who lost the love of their life.

          &l dquo;Thank you Sango.........thank you all”as they made their way over to Kiarara they helped Kagome get settled on her back, laying Inuyasha’s head in her lap she was ready to go.

          &ldq uo;You ready Kagome” Kouga asked, he was truly sad looking into Kagome lifeless eyes, made his heart hurt.”Bakayasha what the fuck where you thinking getting yourself killed and leaving Kagome like this, fuck mutt face! your all she ever wanted, oh I knew for a long time that you and her would and up together just liked to string you along. but now I feel I lost my greatest rival, WHAT THE FUCK WHERE YOU THINKING YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT!!”.(Uh I don’t think it’s nice to say such nasty things about the dead @.@...oh well I did hehe sorry!, I still love inuyasha though!)

         &n bsp;“Im fine Kouga....lets just go please”everyone nodded making their leave from the battle field where the lost a dear friend, a rival and a brother...and the greatest love a girl would ever know....................
