Disclaimer: I love the only Inuyasha related thing I own. My cute little chibi inu key-chain which lives out its happy life on my iPod making fashion statements everywhere (Ha! Take that Parris Hilton! You want something hot? Then look at my iPod cuz it's so cute and knows how to accessorize.)

Part Twenty Four
Onigumo was prompt in coming over to the café. I had barely just finished putting down the tier of cup cakes when I heard the door open.
“Good evening, Kikyo.”
“Hello, Onigumo. You are on time. I just finished closing up.”
“I'm glad that I am not interrupting you then,” he smiled kindly as he hung up his scarf and coat.
“Why is he here?” a voice sneered. “I am being forced to share you already with someone, now we add a third to our little mix?”
“It's not like that,” I mumbled as I lead him over to the table.
“Did you say something, Kikyo?” Onigumo asked as he sat down and poured himself a cup of coffee.
“No! Nothing!” I replied, a blush staining my cheeks from the embracement of being caught in the act of talking to my White Rose…or was it Bob now? The lines were becoming so blurred…
“This one here,” I said placing a cupcake with orange icing on his plate, “is orange.”
He tried it, and all of the other cakes, and soon it was time for him to make his decision. He claimed it was hard for him, since he said he liked all of them, but he thought that his parents would like a buttermilk cake.
“He has made his decision,” a voice cooed “now make him leave.”
I squeezed my eyes closed and tried to ward off the voices and the pain that was clenching my heart again.
“Onigumo…tell me…how was your day today?”
“It was fine…nothing out—”
“I need your help.” I interrupted, looking down at my clenched hands in my lap.
“Alright,” I heard him say as he must have put down his cup of coffee. “It is only fair since you are agreeing to help me with the anniversary. What do you need?”
He could not make this easy for me? He had to make me say right out that I was crazy?
“I need your professional help.”
“Ok. Let me guess…it's for a friend?”
I looked up at him, and he looked slightly amused. How could he think that this was funny? I am loosing my mind as it is! I do not need to be mocked while I am seeking help.
“No,” I snapped, “it's for me. Now, can you help me or not?” It was rude of me to talk to him like that, and in retrospect I regret it greatly…but I was so scared.
His eyebrows shot up to his hairline, but he consented to helping me, and for that, he will never understand the depths of my gratitude.
I took a deep breath and told him everything.
A/N: I know I know…late posting…again…but at least it is up! I am setting this story up on deviant art, so you can find me (lil6ter) there too. I am rather surprised…a GUY faved chapter three. A GUY in fanfiction? They are truly rare…I only know of two (maybe three…probably three) male authors, so it was a shock to say the least.
Anyways…thanks to kittykritik (I will keep with the shout outs for as long as you edit unless you tell me to stop) for editing!
Thanks to everyone that has reviewed! It means A LOT to me! Please keep it up! (And I love to see new reviewers too!)
Now, for the AR's!

Major lolz. Hehe…no…he isn't a zombie or back from the dead. He is still very much so six feet under. He was just another hallucination. Thanks for the review, and keep reading!

Hehe…Joe and White Rose are two totally different people…but you are going to really wonder (with any luck) in later chapters who's who.
Hitting home?? How so? Hehehe…I wanna see Wicked too… It was the only big time broad way play that I could think of that was current and that everyone knew of, so I had to go with it. Don't ask me a thing about it because I wouldn't be able to give you a good answer. Hehe…you will find out who he is…all in good time, you fill find out…and when you do… :D :D :D. That is all I can say about that. Bob/Joe is in fact Naraku. I don't know if I am gonna drop that name for sure in the story or not, but Kagome almost let it slip once.
Thanks for the review, and keep reading!

Hehehe...aw…you are so sweet! Thank you so very very much! I had to smile at the first two sentences. I'm a neutral person towards Kikyo, but I feel as if because she is so easily turned into the bad guy that she needs a story with her in a different light (even if I did accidentally make her psychotic…you still understand why she is like she is.) I can't say who she ends up with, let alone if she ever finds someone to replace Joe, but if you stick around, you will see. Everything in RL…it could be better…but it could also be much worse…so I am not complaining too much. Wouldn't mind it if my dad healed faster though….
Hehe…well…that isn't a bad thing, is it? I mean…they are yummy…I just fear for when you hear about sticky buns. Humor me and don't eat the screen >_<. Thanks for your vote on how to do AR's…I've traditionally done them at the end, but with this story, I've done it at the end as much as I have e-mailed people. Aw…thank you…good vibes…I need `em, hehehe.
Thanks for your reviews, and keep reading!

Haha…well…thank you for giving it a second chance! It had to have an American setting, because I specifically came up with this plot when I was reading Walt Whitman's Mannahatta (and therefore, the title was born.) I never wanted it to be in first person, actually, and I hadn't inteneded on starting this one so soon…not with the other two stories that I foolishly have going…but the first few lines “I have come to the conclusion that when hearts bleed, they really bleed.” Just got in my head and wouldn't leave me alone. I wrote the first chapter and thought “ok…it will leave me alone now.” Six chapters later…and it wasn't leaving me alone. I'm glad I went with it. I haven't felt this good about a story in a LONG time. I'm glad that you like it though, really! I love hearing these kinds of things :D. Thank you so much for your review, and keep reading!
