Well this is my first attempt at a story here, I will try to update at least once a week maybe more, if I get reviews. I am new here so please be nice…

Anyhow on with the story.

Chapter One

Bright blue eyes looked out the windows, out at the starry sky, they belonged to a young woman, and she blinks and gasps. She sees a shooting star, which she makes a wish upon, “I want to be able to help…” She tucks her hands up under her pillows and closes her eyes, as a bright silver glow starts to emit from her body.

Kagome walked along surrounded by a light pink mist, she felt... warm, safe, happy... she heard the sound of water and started to run towards it... as she was running she passed little stone houses.

Running and running she wasn't tiring... she passed through a set of tall gates. A soft music started to play, a girl's voice singing along…

“Soft silver eyes glowing with a love so bright

It's blinding

They meet the eyes of bright gold…

Over a field as old as time covered in old blood, hate, and time...

The mist between them melts as they embrace time

Immortal in their guardianship, of peace, love and the world…

A black fog hovers near to always taunt

Terrorize and tear them apart….

It prays upon the weak, the strong, and the arrogant...

It seems undefeatable but...

With them leading the group

They will succeed

After much trials and hardships...

They shall be together again for all

Time….”

The music stopped as the last note hung upon the air softly touching the skin of Kagome like a warm caress by an unseen lover's hand. She kept running towards the sounds, and came upon a glade with a with a young girl, she is sitting in a pink robe with a golden leaf holding it up over one shoulder, she has long black hair its ends are silver and glow, her eyes are a blue so dark as to almost be black.. Her pupils are ringed by silver. Her face holds a cherubic look that glows when she sees Kagome.

“Welcome!” she spoke in a very soft voice that seemed to glide around the glade, “I was wondering when we would get to meet, do you like this? It's pretty isn't it?” She smiled softly as she said her eyes glowing...

“Where am I?” Kagome looked around her… this place seemed familiar...” Am I dreaming? Who are you? “She looked at the young girl… she looked familiar…

“Who me? I am... ..” her voice seemed to disappear as a strong wind blew through the glade where they were… “Well it seems I am unable to tell you that... seems that is one of the many rules... “ she sighed.

“Rules? This is a dream... right??” she looked around her eyes bright green met solemn dark blue eyes…

“No this is not a dream… “ she stood up and shook her hair out it fell down to mid-thigh, Kagome blinked, the young girl was in front of her..” tell them it has begun” and she touched Kagome on the forehead.

Kagome screamed, and fell to the ground , fell through the ground, it was soft and fluffy like a cloud, she fell to land softly on her bed… had anyone been in the room they would have been blinded by the light coming from her…soft silver…

“Wake up Kagome, time for school,” an old raspy voice said to Kagome as she was blissfully sleeping. Kagome opened her eyes, and looked at her grandfather; he hugged her as she got up for school.

“G'morning gramps” Kagome started stretching, feeling something sliding down her neck she jumped! “Eep!” she looked behind her and saw her hair had grown to halfway down her back….she blinked.

“Gramps, I had a weird dream, I saw a girl and she told me to say something about it is beginning…”

“That's good Kagome…” gramps turns and looks at her and falls over on the floor, “wha? Happened to your hair?” He pulled himself up off the floor gasping like a fish…

“Oh this?” Kagome held up her hair, “I have just been wearing it up a lot; it has grown a lot since we moved back... eh heh heh... I need to get ready for school.” She pushed her gramps out of the room, “Tell mom I will be down in a minute…”

Kagome got dressed and started to hum the song she heard in her dreams… walking downstairs she kissed her mom on the cheek as she walked by her in the kitchen.

“Oh hello Kagome, How are you liking it here at gramps house? “ Kagome's mom turned to look at her and stopped putting food on the plate in front of Kagome… She placed a glass of water next to Kagome's breakfast with a little yellow pill next to the glass, “take your vitamins darling…”she stopped to make sure Kagome took her vitamins. “Your first day at this new school, hopefully it will be safer for us here…” she continued to ramble on…

That's mom for ya, she worries about the demon attacks constantly, we moved here because of some major demon or youkai attacks. Gramps lives in a temple on a hill near the center of Tokyo. We moved here because we hope it will be safer, with gramps being a “priest” and all, maybe we will stay here long enough for me to make friends with some people...

Kagome stood up pulling on the loop of her backpack over her shoulder, her ribbon on the front of the fuku spotless, her skirt pressed and pristine. She smiled at her mom hugged her gramps and went out to school….
