Sorry this is taking long, but the homework (damn that chem!) and the list of things that I need to get done just keep on piling up all week. I have the Reddi Wip, Dr. Pepper, some time, and my laptop on ready and waiting to type. Now, I just need Fauna (my muse) to come and visit me…anytime now Fauna…

 

For those who want to know, I started writing this as a Sesshomaru/Kagome fic, but then Fauna pulled me towards making it an Inuyasha/Kagome fic. It will probably be an Inuyasha/Kagome fiction unless Fauna decides to switch gears on me again.

 

And I need to know how many people really hate Kikyou. I hate her too, but I had this crazy idea, so if people are ok with her, I might go with it.

 

 

 

Chapter Six

Miroku allowed himself a small smirk. He wouldn't dare laugh out loud at Inuyasha running off while Sesshomaru was talking. He looked as if he was about to kill right now. “So, Sesshomaru….Kikyou's coming?”

 

The Lord of the West gave him a cold hard glare, then turned around and headed towards the forest. Opposite of the way Inuyasha headed.

 

`I really thought he would be heading at a full out run towards Inuyasha. Hmmmmm. Guess I should be heading back to tell Kaede and Sango about this.'

 

A hentai smirk appeared on Miroku's face. `Ah. Since it was only Inuyasha and Kagome, I wonder what Inuyasha is planning.'

 

 

 

 

That bastard hanyou had ran off while he was insulting him. Even worse, he had headed off towards Kagome and after that, Inuyasha's and Kagome's scent had drifted off together. Inuyasha was going to pay.

 

The hentai monk had said something of Kikyou.

 

Since Inuyasha seemed like he was running away from Kikyou to prevent confrontation, the best way to punish his brother would be to bring back the confrontation, and in front of Kagome. Kagome would be glad to see him again.

 

 

 

 

Gasp! “Shippo go outside and play with Kirara.”

 

“But I want to stay and hear more!”

 

“We'll give you whatever you want next time Kagome cooks for us and brings things back from her time.”

 

“Ok.” Shippo scampered outside with Kirara following.

 

“Ye said that he left and picked up Kagome, running quickly?”

 

“Yes. Didn't even stop while he was running. He was running towards no place that I can think of either.”

 

“Kaede. Do you think Inuyasha intends on marking and mating with her so Sesshomaru can't have her? Koga has declared his love, but has made no attempt at taking her back with him like Sesshomaru has.”

 

“Aye Sango. We can only pray now that he doesn't do things too drastic. He wants to keep Kagome, but I think he is still too dedicated to Sister Kikyou to mate with her, so I believe she is safe from that at least for now.”

 

 

 

 

 

Kagome awoke to find herself in a cave, and was Inuyasha…cooking for her? The last think she could remember was after a hot bath in the hot springs, then Inuyasha holding her…Kami. It only was a dream. It had to be. Inuyasha never held her, he would never lead her to a hot spring for a bath, and he would never cook for her. This was all a dream. She groaned and turned over.

 

Inuyasha hopped over, and she felt his hand on her shoulder…it felt real. The concern in his eyes did also.

 

“Oi! Are you Ok Kagome?”

 

“Inuyasha…I don't remember how we got here…also, is this a dream? You never are this nice in real life….it must still be a dream…”

 

 

 

`I'm not this nice in real life…' thought Inuyasha helplessly. `I'm not that nice…' It really hurt him to hear that, more than he thought. He hadn't been that nice to her he realized…it wouldn't allow himself to get close to anyone and get hurt again. Still, somehow, Kagome had managed to get around his defenses and he because close to her. He had still said hurtful things to her and had been mean because…why had he?

 

And what was he going to do now? He had shared that close moment with Kagome, and he had really liked it…it felt so right and so good. He felt loved and…accepted. The only person who had accepted him was his mom, and he could barely remember her. Even Kikyou, to a certain point, had rejected him. Kagome was fully accepting of him. How many times had she said that she liked him exactly how he was-hanyou…

 

Inuyasha decided it was time to change some of his ways…he needed to make her feel the same way about him that he did about her. He wanted her to feel love and acceptance from him that he had felt from her. First things first though. Time to wake her up and make her eat. He wasn't letting this boar he killed go to waste. Besides, when was the last time they ate this good?
