(A/N: Ok, I'm going to try and get through the next 2 chapters before I go to bed. And if I have some time after that maybe I can start chapter 8. I might even finish it and be able to go on to the next chapter tonight too! We'll see. Well, Please R&R! Thanks! )

Chapter 5

Kagome, Kagura, Kanna… Friends?

They had been out at the club till 11:30 PM. Kagome rolled over in bed and looked at her alarm clock. 3:46 AM. Kagome sighed. She had been online with Sango for about an hour. Kagome missed Sango, and she knew Sango missed her too. Sango was always sad when she had to leave on some undercover mission. Kagome had been sending Sesshomaru the conversation Inuyasha and the others had to see if he could translate it for her. Sango had been on at the time and they Instant Messaged each other for a while.

Finally around 1:28 AM Kagome and Sango said good-bye to one another and Kagome shut off her laptop. Kagome couldn't get to sleep though. She was in huge king size bed; she had enough room. And the bed was amazingly soft and cushiony, but Kagome stiff couldn't get to sleep, no matter how comfortable she was.

Kagome had on her purple porcupine PJs. A purple tank top with a Purple Porcupine on the front, and the bottoms were like boxers, with little purple porcupines all over them. Purple Porcupines… CUTE!

Kagome got up and made some ramen then took it out in the living room to eat in front of the TV. Kagome sat down on the couch and flicked through the channels on the TV. Kagome heard some thing and looked behind her to see Kagura taking out a bowl and fixing herself some ramen as well. Kagura smiled at Kagome.

Kanna was really tired and Kagura was stoned so Kagome just brought them here with her and let them sleep in the extra bedrooms. Kanna had gotten up once in the middle of the night to come sleep with Kagome. She was probably still in Kagome's bed hiding under the covers now.

The three had gotten pretty close, not too close, but kinda like friends. Not as tight as Sango… but you get the idea. Kagura sat down next to Kagome. "Mind if I join you?" she asked. Kagome nodded. `They're really not all that bad, just that they rob major places like casinos and blow shit up all the time… kill thousands… hmm…' "Kagome?" A sleepy Kanna rubbing the sleep from her eyes looked over to Kagome then ran up into her arms. Kanna loved Kagome, in fact, all children loved Kagome.

*DING! DING!* "Damn door bell…" Kagome muttered… She opened her eyes a bit then closed them… `So… bright… ugh!' Kagome forced herself up of the couch and walked to the door. *DING! DING!* "I'm coming!" Kagome unlocked and opened the door. "What in the 7 hells do you wa-" Kagome blushed. It was Inuyasha. "Sorry bout tha- oh?" Kagome felt something tug at her legs and looked down at Kanna. They had finally fallen asleep… On the couch. Kagome felt miserable. Kagome bent down and picked the little youkai child up into her arms. Kagome looked back into the living room and yelled, "Kagura wake up!" Kagura moaned but finally gathered her strength to get up and move to the bedroom.

Kagome blushed and let Inuyasha in. She knew what he was doing, he was looking her up. She should have worn something else to sleep in, something that covered more of her. Inuyasha came in and examined the place. "Nice," he said, "Who paid for it?" he asked. "What are you talking about?" Kagome asked him. "Your staying here right? Who paid for this place, it's nicer then what I'm staying in…" He answered her. "I'm paying for it." She lied, actually Sesshomaru was paying for it, not that she didn't have the money for it." Inuyasha looked at her suspiciously. "How can a ningen bitch like you pay for a place like this?" he asked her. "My father, he died when I was young and left everything to my younger brother and me, he was a pretty wealthy man." She told him. "Feh"

"Okassan? I'm hungry!" Kanna whined and gave Kagome her puppy dog look. Kagome giggled. Inuyasha stared in disbelief. "Nani?! Kanna! Did you just call Kagome your mother?!" `What's with Kanna!? She's never acted like this before, she's never shown such emotion before, she was always so cold… Now she's acting like… like... like a child!' Kagome went into the kitchen and poured a bowl of cereal and then placed it on the kitchen table. Kanna climbed into a chair and started eating her food.

"So Inuyasha, what are you here for again?" Kagome asked him. "Oh, yeah, right…" Inuyasha snapped out of his thoughts and back to reality. "Koga wanted me to give you this." He handed Kagome an envelope then turned away and headed for the door. "Ja ne!" Kagome said to him as he left. "Feh."

Kagome opened the letter. Inside was an invitation to dinner with Koga. `I could put up with joining Koga for dinner, even though he's really rather annoying...' Kagome thought. She then walked to the kitchen and joined Kanna in a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Not a very interesting chapter but… whatever. Kagome had friends now. Oh boy! And… Yeah… Ok… so Inuyasha and Kagome don't hit it off too good in the beginning… They'll get together later on in the story. In the beginning Kagome just spends most of her time by Koga's side… But Inuyasha and Kagome get closer once Inuyasha catches her spying on him and finds out what she's really doing there.
