Chapter 16

Field Trip

Kagome woke up to pounding on her door. The sun wasn't even up yet! She had been up late that night and the last thing she needed was Inuyasha pounding on her door at 1 AM. "What the fuck is your problem! The sun's not even up! What do you want?!" Kagome kicked off the covers and walked over to the door to let Inuyasha in.

She regretted her actions because as soon as she opened the door Inuyasha and Kouga, Naraku, Juuroumaru, Hiten, Kagura, Kanna, and some other youkai she had never seen before threw her back. Number one, she was still in her night cloths, which consists of a black tank top and black underwear. And number two, what the hell were a bunch of demons doing invading her personal space?!

Kanna and Kagura were pulling things out of her dresser drawers and into big suitcases. Some other female youkai were taking things out of her closet and going into her bathroom to pull things out. Inuyasha picked Kagome up off the floor and carried her out of the room.

Kagome struggled to get out of his grasp but finally gave up and snuggled up against his body as she was carried outside. Wasn't it like… Summer?! It was getting cold fast! Wait, what month was it? Time was sure flying here in France with Inuyasha.

Inuyasha walked up to a black limo and Juuroumaru opened the door for him. Inuyasha got inside with Kagome in his lap and leaning against his chest. Kagome blushed when she noticed what position they were in but her blush quickly faded when she remembered that she had no clue what was going on. "Inuyasha, what's going on?" Kagome looked up at the hanyou. "You'll find out later…"

There was a flat screen TV in each corner of the limo. There were two iceboxes and drawers underneath the seats. There were seats facing the front of the car and seats facing the back. And they're even built in CD players on the car doors, next to the pull out cup holder and ashtray.

The seats were a dark red velvet and the iceboxes and drawers and car doors and the flat screen TVs were black. The windows of the limo were tinted a dark color similar to black, but you could still faintly see through the windows.

Naraku, Kagura, Juuroumaru, An Hiten came in and sat in the seats across from Inuyasha and her. Kanna sat in the middle of the floor with a coloring book and some colored pencils. Kouga sat down beside Kagome and Kagome could feel Inuyasha's chest vibrating. Inuyasha was silently growling to Kouga. Kagome relaxed against Inuyasha's chest and fell asleep.

*Two nights ago*

Sesshomaru had been up all night worrying about Kagome's safety. Where was she? He knew she wasn't hurt of dead of course. His half brother probably would kill her, but he needed her. Inuyasha wasn't that stupid as to kill her when he could get information out of her. Sesshomaru knew his little plan.

Sesshomaru paced in his office trying to think of where Inuyasha might be keeping her. There hadn't been any new robberies. He knew Inuyasha would come out and attack some building or some fancy casino one day soon. He wasn't just going to keep quiet; Inuyasha was too impatient.

Then he knew. `Paris.' That's where he had lived with his mother long ago. That's probably where he was hiding out at too. He wouldn't act up any major crimes in France because he lived there. Kagome had done some extra research and found all the places he had been so far. Not just Japan but China, America, Australia, India, Mexico. All these places but not once in France.

Sesshomaru called Sango at her house even though it was past midnight. `Sango should be the first to know. After all her worrying and pouting about and staying out of work.' And he really needed her at work too.

At first Sango wouldn't answer the phone, she probably had caller ID. `Damnit…' But he finally rang the phone so long it obviously got on her nerves and she answered with a sleepy, grouchy, annoyed, "WHAT?!" Sesshomaru told her what he knew and she agreed to come back to work and call a swat team or something to go check out the old house Inuyasha and his mother used to live in Paris, France.

The FBI would be at Inuyasha's doorstep in 3 days at the most.
