“TV talking”

2 weeks have past since shippos first day in the modern world. It was down pouring rain. Shippo was standing in his new apartment on the top floor looking out the window. That guy I questioned, what did he mean.

 

(Two weeks earlier)

“Id like for you to answer some questions.”

The man was trembling “ok, sure just don't kill me.”

Shippo eased the grip on the man's neck. “Now Question #1,

About how many demons around this area?”

The man had a blank expression “uhh, you're a demon right? Then you should kn-” shippo's grip tightened “ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION!” “aghck! Ok, ok about 30% of the population here.”

“ok Question #2, who's in charge of every one?”

“the council of elders, every one knows that”

“well I'm new in town, Question #3, who runs the council, like a figure head.”

“the oldest known demon alive, Goutsukubari.”

“now Last question and you better get this one right, are there any fox demons on the council?”

the man's eyes widened, he started to shake uncontrollably almost. His voice quiet, whisper level, “the devil's daughter, death's bride, k-” from some unseen force a blast of pure energy went through his head and killed him.” shippo's head whipped around to find no one alive but him.

 

 

(Present time)

“Devil's daughter, huh? Sounds like the one `she' sent me to find.” (*She* is the voice that's been guiding shippo so far) the rain let up little outside. “best go out and get to know this Devil's daughter.” Shippo turned and walked to the door.

 

Kagome was looking out the window at the wet gloom of the city. Ever since that meteor crashed weird things have been happening. Weird things where happening disappearances left and right, mysterious deaths, and a rising crime rate. Kagome walked over to the couch in front of the TV. Plopped her self down turned on the tube. “due to the resent increase of disappearances we urge families to stick together when leaving the home, also mace and pepper spray are now permitted to be carried” kagome turned the TV off. “cant they put any thing good on, its practically on every channel” inuyasha walked in the room. “its because that's the only thing major going on” kagome sighed “I know that, but still at least tell us if there's been any progress in the investigation.” Kagome looked up at the ceiling “I just hope they figure this out soon, it gives me a bad feeling”

 

Later that day…

 

It was dusk and shippo was going to west district. West districtthe place to be for demons. He was right west district was the place to be because there's not a single human in it. shippo was walking down the street in a trench coat and sunglasses. He was heading to a certain bar, Hot Shots (we serve `em hot while so your not) (Note: sake is sometimes served warm) he had a contact there he was suppose to meet. He turned the corner and there it was. it was a decent joint to say the least. Wasn't to high end and it wasn't crappy ether. He walked into the bar and looked around. It was prity standard they only thing that really stood out was the cage in the middle. The place was a fight club too, only on weekends. He sat down near the middle of the bar area. “hello sir, haven't seen you around here before.” The bartender was a portly man, and about 5”9 height wise. “because I'm new in town, friend of mine said this was the place to be.” The tender smirked “he'd be right now what'd you be havin?” “give me your finest!” “ah you must have a taste for the good stuff, by the way I'm gonna have to take that, store policy no weapons allowed” shippo reached into his trench coat and pulled out a large pistol with a ying-yang symbol on it and let the bartender take it. “for a guy whose new here your packing some serious heat.” “these are dangerous times my freind” “true that, so what your name” “shippo” “is that so, yah know there's a guy looking for you.” Shippo blinked twice “really where is he?” the tender pointed behind him “back room I can show yah in.” “oh that would be nice.” Shippo followed the tender to into the back room. There where 3 men in there one was wearing a dark black with a hood at an angle so you couldn't see his face. The other two wore simple street clothes. The tender walked out and closed the door. Shippo was the first to speak “so you wanted to speak with me.” The man motioned to sit down and shippo complied. “we have information that your working for *her*(the voice as said before), and that you seek someone on the council.” Shippo's tone hardened “you would be correct” “we can help you with this goal. But in order to do that you must help us. You've heard of the recent disappearances right?” “yes I have” “we need you to help us stop them”

“why do you care if some humans disappear.” “we don't the fact is that all of the disappeared are all half demons and the majority of them are children, that's why we care”

“Oh that's why, well I'm going to need some equipment then” “name it”

“First ill need an infinite supply of 50 Cal magnum ammo, about 200,000 yen monthly, and last and most important a sword.” “that's it then?” “yep” the man in black pulled out a piece of paper “ok your items will be delivered to your apartment in two days when your equipment is in your possession please visit this address.” The man stood up “thank you for your time” he and his 2 accomplices left. Shippo returned to the bar had his drink and left with his gun.

 

Shippo headed to his apartment. There were no other pedestrians in the area besides him. he stopped when a drop of water hit his forehead. The droplets of rain flowed into a down pour. Shippo continued his pace to his destination. Very few cars were passing by. He commenced walking when one car in particular caught his eye. Or rather his nose. It was a black van that drove in the same direction he was walking. That van it smelled `unnatural'. Having his curiosity aroused, he followed the van.

 

 

 

Kagome was down stairs sitting against the wall. She couldn't sleep due to the rain. It'sbeen raining a lot recently. She stood and watched a flash of lightning go by. The rain suddenly stopped around the shrine and no where else. she stepped out side to inspect. Two or three steps out of the door she froze. What the, I'm sensing a demonic aura! She whipped her head around searching for the cause. She ran inside and grabbed her bow and arrows and returned outside. Its coming from the entrance stairs, she ran to the towards the top of them, looked down and saw a black van and three people coming out of it.

 

Finally it stopped shippo was around the corner watched the van stop out side of what looked like a shrine. He edged closer when three men stepped out of it. all of them wearing black leather suits. The three lined up at the entrance stairs. The one in the middle looked up and spoke. “we have a witness, we cant have witnesses now can we” the other two nodded. I need a closer look shippo pulled a piece of paper a placed it to his head. Invisibility! Now invisible shippo quickly walked behind the van. “what do you want!?” I know that voice! Shippo looked up to see kagome. “we are looking for some one named shippo.” kagome's face hardened “what do you want with my son!?” Shippo blinked these must be the people who are kidnapping half-demons “we don't need to tell you filthy human!” the man on the right lunged forward. Fools shippo stepped back to the other side of the street. The man was half way up the stairs when he was obliterated by a sacred arrow. The man in the middle stepped back “this is going to get a little messy.” He snapped his fingers and the back doors of the van burst open with ten large demons poring out of it. I knew that was a weird car but this is just plain ridiculous they all lined up with the largest in front. With that many I have to help. Shippo pulled out his gun and took aim. There was a large bang and the biggest demons head exploded. The demons turned to find shippo. the men turned

“kill him” the demons lunged forward. Shippo leapt into the air, shooting 3 demons in the head as he went up. At the peek of his jump fired 3 more shots killing two demons and the man on the right.One more shot he began to decend. Shippo fired and hit the vans hood. The van exploded killing 2 more demons and knocked over another. Shippo speeded up his down fall and crushed the fallen demon's head by landing on it. The only man remaining stepped back a little more. “Who the hell are you?” shippo took off his sunglasses, “names are for friends so I don't need one.” The man snarled and revealed a blade hidden in his sleeve (think Ed's auto mail transmutation blade in FMA)

 

the man thrust the blade at shippo. the thing was shippo wasn't there. The man stood up, searching wildly for the kitsunne. Out of the corner of his eye a bright blue glow grew. He turned to investigate only to find kagome with her bow fully drawn.

“oh shit”

he was a pile of dust the next moment. She cautiously descended the stair way searching for the man that had intervened. Inuyasha soon appeared questioning the incident. she gave him the brief description. He came to his wife and ushered her to the house.

They had gotten to the front door and a note was pinned on the door .

`Your welcome'

 

 

shippo in the instant he disappeared he excavated a burnt up note from one of the dead bodies of his slain opponents.

 

“… The ….ern lord shall … again”

he read to himself.

 

 

 

 

The broken dawn made shippo stir and awake. He got dressed in his usual attire , and he glanced out of the window. It was the first sunny day in a whole week.
