Chapter 7: Battle With Naraku: Part 2

To her joy and horror, a rather perverted look came across his face, "Sesshoumaru! Try to be serious here…" she scolded.

"Pull the arrow out, it is merely pinning me in place." he said, she remembered, in his human-like form, he would be only paralyzed, like Inu-Yasha was to the spirit tree.

She pulled it out and smiled as he got back up.

"I had to get you back for insulting me the other day." he said.

"You scared me!" she yelled.

"AND I got you to admit you love me, isn't life grand?" he asked.

His eyes flashed red.

"Okay, Haruna, I am going to turn into my true form, don't be alarmed, I won't hurt you." he said, she nodded, realizing he was only toying with Naraku.

She watched as he transformed into a huge white dog, she gasped and wondered what he could see beneath him from on top. Haruna blushed, knowing she just thought of another double entendre.

He started to battle with Naraku, and found it surprising that Naraku was not effected by the poison, he also noticed that he almost squashed Kagome and would need to get everyone out of the way. Haruna read his thoughts and started to move the battle elsewhere, leaving Inu-Yasha, Kikyo and Kagome behind a spirit barrier. To his surprise, Haruna came back, but was smart enough to hide behind the barrier as well.

Naraku set demons at Sesshoumaru, but he used his poison to destroy them all, Naraku was getting desperate, not knowing what to do, Kikyo tried to shoot at him again, only to miss. Kagome had managed to shoot if off course with another arrow. Inu-Yasha noticed Kagome's wound and pulled out the arrow, surprised that there was not blood.

Kagome shot another arrow, this time, at Naraku, it hit, momentarily stunning him, enabling Sesshoumaru to destroy him once and for all. Oniguomo appeared as the demons fled, he was actually alive, but just barely. Kagome shot an arrow at the ground, clearing it of the poisonous acid. Sesshoumaru turned back to normal, slightly worn out, but still quite good. Haruna rushed over and took a look at him, not too bad, but what if he was hurt?

She watched him rise up and approach Inu-Yasha, who went into a defensive stance once more.

"Inu-Yasha, will there be no reward for my assistance?" Sesshoumaru asked calmly.

"Feh, you---" he started.

"SIT BOY!" Kagome shouted, he fell down.

"What is it that you want?" Kagome asked.

"I'd like for Haruna to be able to travel back and fourth from her time, as well as my left arm, which Inu-Yasha cut off." he replied.

"I know, Ryoku is working on a way to time travel, he brought her here successfully." Kagome stated, Sesshoumaru growled a bit at his name.

"I don't like this Ryoku person." he grumbled.

"Live with it, I'm in debt to him for bringing me here!" she said.

"I can help with the arm, it will tire me out slightly, but you saved us a lot of trouble and I will help you grow it back, or rather get it back." she replied.

She put her hand on where he used to have an arm, a blue light engulfed her, and in a matter of moments, she had passed out, but the arm was there like it never got cut off. He examined it and flexed his fingers.

"Thank you, Kagome." he said to the now sleeping girl.

"She better be alright!" Inu-Yasha growled.

"Rest assured, she just lost some strength." he replied calmly, picking her up and giving her to Inu-Yasha.

"The girls from the future are really something aren't they?" Inu-Yasha asked, smiling at how angelic Kagome looked.

"Indeed they are." Sesshoumaru agreed, and then there was silence, the sibling rivalry has finally ended.
