The Diary

“Aw come on Kagome! One date won't hurt!” The boy moaned out to her.

“I know it doesn't hurt… but I really think I'm too young to date. Especially to someone that is older than me!” Kagome pouted onto the boy pressuring her.

Kagome Higurashi. A 12 aged girl that boys desire, born black raven hair, soft porcelain skin, perfect figure, and beautiful brown eyes that made her look stunning each and every day that would pass by. Ever since she entered sixth grade, all of the boys would pressure her onto going dates with them. She declined each and every single one of them every time she was asked.

“You'll regret it one day Kagome. But please, only this once?” He purred to her taking a step closer.

“No! Get away from her!” Sango said pulling him away from Kagome.

Sango Setsuna. Kagome's best friend that is aged 13 with dark brown hair, and brown eyes. She keeps an eye on Kagome each second since she doesn't trust any boys at all. Upset for one boy.

“Ah! Get away!” Kagome barked at the boy.

“You heard what she said kid. Get away from her.” The senior said calmly.

“I-Inuyasha!” The boy said with his eyes wide. “I'm sorry! I'll go now!” And within that, the boy left running just like he said.

“You ok Kagome?” Inuyasha said in a soft voice bending down to her.

Inuyasha Taisho is a senior at the school where Kagome is at. Even though their six years apart, he enjoys spending time with her. When Sango can't defend Kagome from the boys, Inuyasha keeps an eye on her and protects her.

“Y-Yes Senpai.” She said blushing a light pink.

Inuyasha smiled petting her soft silky hair. “That's good.”

“And how are you Sango?” A voice chirped from behind her.

“Hello Miroku-Sama!” Sango smiled at Miroku.

“Trying to protect Kagome like always I see?” Sango nodded in response.

“Well, keep up the good work.” He chuckled.

“Your going to college… right Inuyasha?” Kagome asked him eating her lunch her mother packed her.

“Hmm? Oh, yea.”

“So what's your job going to be? You are graduating tomorrow aren't you?” She asked once more.

“Yea, I am and I was thinking of being a teacher…” He said staring up at the sky sitting on a bench with Kagome outside on the school yard.

“Why? I mean theirs other jobs that are much better than being a teacher!”

“That's true… but do you know why I want to be a teacher?” He said smiling.

“Why?” She giggled.

“Because I wanna keep an eye on you silly.” He chuckled brushing his black hair out of his face from the wind pushing it.

She let out a soft gasp the same time the bell rang for the next class. Her heart began to pound furiously she began to blush yet again. Ever since that first day of school, and the first time Inuyasha protected her, she realized that was the first time she ever felt butterflies in her stomach. Each day she would walk through the hall ways to see if Inuyasha was present. And every time he was at school, she would hide behind lockers and wait for him to spot her. And once he did see her, he would smile at her once he finished talking with his group of friends.

“Come on Inuyasha! The bell rang! Let's go!” One of his classmates shouted out to him.

“Coming!” He shouted toward the girl that shouted at him. Then he looked down at Kagome and her pink blushed cheeks, he chuckled and gave her a short noogie. “See you later Kagome.” He walked away slowly with his classmate leaving Kagome still sitting down on the bench.

Later That Night;

“I do not Kagome!” Sang pouted on her phone laying down on her bed.

“Don't hide it Sango! You know you love Miroku!” Kagome laughed talking to Sango on the phone.

“Argh! But what about you?! I mean you love Inuyasha… don't you?!”

“W-What?” Kagome said blushing. “I do not! It's only a small little crush!”

“Then why do you always sneak behind lockers to see if he's here at school?”

“B-Because… well I don't have to answer that question! Besides… he's six years older than me!”

“Love doesn't have an age Kagome.” Sango sang to her laughing.

“Ugh! Knock it off!”

“Haha… well I'm going to go to sleep! Bye Kagome! See you tomorrow!”

“Yea… bye.”

Kagome sighed hanging up her phone. She turned off her lights and comforted herself into her bed covering herself with her sheets resting her head against her pillow. Thoughts began to rush in her head thinking about Inuyasha. Was she really in love with him? Or is it just a mere crush on him? What if Sango was actually right?

“Because I wanna keep an eye on you silly.”

Those words Inuyasha spoke earlier that day made Kagome wonder. Why does he want to keep an eye on her? Was she special to him? But then again, tomorrow would be the last day she would see him. Then after college he would get a job, get a girlfriend that isn't Kagome because she'd still be in school, marry her, and pretty soon raise children and start a family. But why was she thinking about this? Why now?

“Inuyasha…” She whispered before falling asleep.

“And for the last person to walk on stage… Inuyasha Taisho!” The principal spoke as Inuyasha made his way across the stage wearing his cap and gown. He shook the principal's hand and received his diploma from him smiling. When he smiled, all the girls began to cheer for him from his gorgeous looks he performed. And from behind the crowds, Sango and Kagome stood their watching every senior graduate.

Once he made his way off the stage, the principal began to speak again. “Congratulations class of 2008! You made it through all those rough years of learning, and passing difficult tests… now you just need to pass twice as much tests when you get to college.” All the graduats moaned from hearing they had even more tests. The principal laughed. “But still, you guys made it! Congratulations!” After his speech, every graduat threw their hats into the air like in those movies when they would graduate.

“Kagome! You're here!”

Kagome turned to the direction where the voice came from. It was him. Inuyasha.

“Senpai!” She shouted out smiling.

He ran to her lifting her up into the air staring into her chocolate eyes. “I did it!” He gave her another noogie like he did before messing up her hair.

“I know!” Kagome responded.

“Argh! Pervert!” Sango shouted with a deep red face.

“Sango! No! It was an accident! My hand slipped! It was an accident! And accident!”

Inuyasha and Kagome laughed while he was holding her in his hig and then he put her gently on the ground. “Kagome… I got you something.” He said reaching into his pocket.

“A gift? No! You can't do that!” She pouted blushing.

He chuckled handing her the gift wrapped up with a red bow on it. “I noticed this yesterday… that I won't be their a lot for you since I'm starting college that is far away… so I got you that.” He said pointing at the gift. “Promise me you will write in it what happens each day, so when I come back I'll read it so I can know what happened… ok?” He said pointing at the gift.

She smiled then began to open it carefully by it's ends. When she took the wrapping paper completely off, she gave a short gasp. “It's a diary!” Kagome opened the soft brown leather coated diary with the key it had as well as a lock on it. It contained many pages in it releasing it's sweet scent it held. “Thank you Inuyasha, I love it.” She smiled blushing looking down. She looked up at him noticing that he was smiling looking at her. Then she walked towards him and gave him a hug which he gladly returned. “I promise I'll write in it each and every day.”

Dear Diary,
Ah, let's see… I never actually thought this would really happen, but here I am. Writing in a diary! But it's just not an ordinary diary… it's one from Senpai, Inuyasha. He graduated his senior year today and I'm both mixed up with feelings… I'm both happy and sad. I'm happy that he graduated, but then I'm sad that he won't be living here anymore since his college his far away. That's why he gave me this diary, so I can write each day in it so he can know what's happening! He's so smart! Hah, I sound like I'm a freak for him… but then again… no! What am I saying! I mean writing! He'll be reading this when he graduates from college! But what if he forges about me? What if he starts a family and I wrote all this stuff for nothing? What am I saying?! I'll try to be happy for him… but deep inside me, I want him all to myself. I don't want to be greedy and all… but, it's just the way he treated me this year makes my heart pound hard against my chest. He treats me with respect, he talks to me, protects me and stuff… I can go on but I won't. Now that he's gone, I think I realized something. I think I like him more than just a friend/senpai
Yours Truly,
Kagome Higurashi

Three Years Later

“Oh stop it Bankotsu!” Kagome said giving him a fake giggle, then she suddenly gave him a serious look. “I mean it!” She growled.

Bankotsu gave a scared look on his face. “Fine.” He said trembling.

“Bankotsu is scared of Kagome? Never thought of that since he acts all tough!” Sango teased him sticking her tongue out at him.

“Am not Sango!” He pouted.

“Alright students!” The assistant principal began. “Take your seats and be prepared to meet your new teacher. He's new to this school, so don't do anything stupid… alright?”

It had been three years since Inuyasha left. Kagome, now 15 and Sango age 16 gave their shots at their lives without Inuyasha or Miroku. And they succeeded. They made it until ninth grade which is where they are now. And continuing Inuyasha's promise, she continued to write in her diary. Never did she miss one day. Even though she hadn't seen him in those three years, her feelings grew each day until she realized that she's in love with him. When she would write in her diary, her heart would begin to race, and her memories of Inuyasha would come back to her. His sweet gently voice, his protective side, his gentle side and all. But would he still be the same as he was before? Was he still the same Inuyasha, Kagome fell in love with? Or did he change? Did he even become a teacher like he said he would?

“A new teacher… hmm… this would be interesting…” Bankotsu said chuckling.

“No Bankotsu… give the teacher a break.” Kagome sighed as Sango nodded.

“Detention Miss Higurashi. Detention for talking if your asking why.” The teacher spoke calmly.

Kagome's eyes widened as a blush formed across her face. She never blushed. Only when he spoke to her. She slowly turned herself to the direction where the teacher was at in front of the class room. All the girls stared at the teacher flushing from his gorgeous looks. It was him. Kagome stared at his soft brown eyes that were also staring straight at her. He smiled leaning against his desk chuckling softly.

“I-Inuyasha…” Kagome whispered softly.
