Chapter One: Pained Memories
; He ran as fast as he could. All he could hear were the dead leaves crunching under his feet and the sinister laugh of the demon chasing him. The low tree branches slapped him in his face and a fern root nearly tripped him. Streaming down his face were tears. Of pain, from the wound on his shoulder. And of fear, knowing that he might not make it out of this alive.
&nbs p; ‘Is this the end?’ he thought. He stopped suddenly. In front of him was a dead end.
&nb sp; “No where to run now, is there little man?”
He turned around quickly, only to face His Worst Nightmare. His glossy black wings shined in the moonlight. His platinum white hair fluttered in the wind.
He looked cruel.
He looked powerful.
He looked just like him.
&nbs p; “Die Abomination!!!” His Worst Nightmare lifted his sword. His Worst Nightmare swung down, but instead of ending up dead like he sure he was, his mother had blocked the blow.
; “Run, my son!” she yelled.
&nb sp; “No!” he said, crying harder,” I’m not going to leave you!”
His mother smiled a loving smile, in spite of the situation. She pulled out her sword, Minkuzai and said “Don’t worry son. I will be fine.” She turned to her opponent. “Now go.”
&nb sp; He nodded his head and ran off. He didn’t go too far, though, because he wanted to see his mother erase the Nightmare from this plane of existence.
“So, we meet again, do we Minkiza?” the man sneered.
&n bsp; “That we do, brother, that we do.” His mother attacked and the battle began.
Charge.
Hit.
Dodge.
Kick was the waltz they danced.
&nb sp; “Your skills haven’t faltered, Sister,” the Nightmare chuckled. “Too bad it is going to waste. You and your mistake are going to die.”
Minkiza glared at him. “The only one dying here, Santuskei, is you.”
With those words, Minkuzai glowed red.
“Red Dragon Strike!” From her sword, a fierce fire was unleashed, that threatened to engulf half the forest in flames. He looked from his perch in awe. No one saw his mother’s most lethal attack and lived to talk about it. He was sure His Worst Nightmare was dead. He jumped down from the safety of his perch and ran to his mother.
&nb sp; “Mommy. Mommy! You did it!” He hugged her with vengeance.
“Son.”
&nbs p; “Yes, Mommy?”
&nb sp; “It is not over yet.”
He looked at her in confusion. He turned around, and to his horror, his mother was right. Up from the Ashes rose His Worst Nightmare, laughing his sinister laugh. In his hand was an energy spear.
&nbs p; “You thought you could finish me off, didn’t you? Well you thought WRONG!!!”
His Worst Nightmare threw the spear at him and his mother. “Son! Look out!” His mother pushed him out the way. He had landed in a tree, about 50 feet away. Frazzled, he stood and...
Wanted.
To.
Die.
; Through his mother’s heart, through the heart of the woman he may ever love, was the spear His Worst Nightmare threw.
&nbs p; “Mother,” he whispered.
His Worst Nightmare tuned around. He thought the Nightmare would attack, but all he said was he’s done his damage, and flew off.
“Mommy?”
&n bsp; No answer.
&nb sp; “Mommy?!”
&nbs p; Still no answer.
&nb sp; “Mommy!!!”
&nb sp; Crickets chirped and a nightingale sang its sad song.
; He fell to his knees.
&nbs p; “MOMMY!!!!!”
& nbsp; Lord Sesshomaru of the Western lands woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. He wiped his face with his hands, only to find he was crying. Sesshomaru shook his head and muttered he was getting too old for this. The demon lord got off of his futon and prepared for the day ahead. Then, out of no where, her began to search.
For what, he did not know.
Me: Ok, um..Sessho kinda got arrested. Now I have to bail him out. Geez, there goes my Pokemon collection. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the story. Please review and don’t forget to give your parents grays. Stressing them out is good for the teenaged soul.
