If I actually had talent, you would not be reading this free. If this chapter is lacking in quality or clarity, I am sorry. I was not exactly sober while writing this.

Despite the fact that Kagome has grown accustomed with rising with the sun, this morning however was different. The constant nagging feeling she had about the mission on the back of her mind did not help her fall asleep at all. All the excitement and anticipation ate away at her the whole night. Hearing a noise and feeling a presence suddenly appear in her room, Kagome suddenly jerked awake. In front of her face was a furry blue face with pointed hears. In reflex, Kagome grabbed the dagger she hid under her pillow and pointed it at the intruder's throat. “Who are you and what are you doing in my room?” Kagome asked sternly.
The intruder gulped nervously, “Uhh… hi, my name is Kurt. Jean told me to come wake you.” Feeling no ill intent from the blue fuzzy man, Kagome with drew her dagger. “Sorry, but you just surprised me. I do not believe I am met you before?” Kagome said as she got out of bed. “Well no we have not met; I have been away on an assignment. By the way you should hurry; they will be leaving in an hour.” Hearing this, Kagome scrambled around the room trying to get ready. Brushing her teeth and trying to put on the skin-tight uniform at the same time in lightning speed, Kagome got ready and made her way to the departure point in fifteen minuets flat.
Down in the garage, Jean and Scott had just finished the preparations for their departure. Kagome stumbled in slightly disheveled, “I am so sorry I kind of over slept”, Kagome said apologetically. “Don't worry too much about it, we are still on time”, Jean replied to sooth Kagome. Getting into the small black car, Jean began explaining what they are doing on this mission while Scott drove. “We are heading towards Downtown New York; the Morlocks reside beneath the city. This is an investigative mission; we just need to find if the Morlocks are connected to the recent attacks, so we are going to try to remain undetected. The Morlocks do not take too kindly to mutants that look somewhat normal; if we are caught, we might start unnecessary conflict. Just follow our lead, do you have any questions?” Kagome shook her head. “Good, we will be arriving at our destination soon.”
Scott making his way through the busy city streets found a secluded area to park the car. All three X-men got of out the car, following Scott's lead through a series of dark alleys they stopped in front of a manhole in a deserted area. Scott knelt down and lifted open the manhole cover, and climbed into the darkness below. Jean and Kagome followed Scott in silence.
Once beneath the surface, the three X-men were greeted with a maze of dark tunnels. The passages were dark and looked the same in appearance. After half and hour of wandering though the twist and turn, they were more than lost following Scott's lead. Kagome have been trying to use her senses to feel out where the Morlocks were located, but with so much activity above her and the numerous critters inhabiting the tunnels, the signals she received are jumbled. The three stopped in a dead end, a slight movement caught Kagome's attention, but it was too late, from the ceiling above someone or something through a can of gas down at the unsuspecting trio. In a matter of seconds, the gas knocked all three of them out.
As soon as all three invaders lost consciousness, a group of unusual looking mutants emerged from hiding. The group moved forward and tied up the three sleeping forms. Among the group, a young boy with green skin and large bat like ears picked up the unconscious Kagome. He turned towards he comrades carrying the other two strangers, “We should take them to the boss; he will know what to do with them.” The others nodded in agreement.
Back at the Xavier mansion, Logan has been pacing though the halls restlessly. He did know why, but since Kagome, Scott and Jean left for their mission, he has been unease. A bad feeling kept nagging him in the back of his head telling him something is not right. Remy have been lounging in a couch watching a game, when Logan's constant pacing finally grated his nerves too far. “Logan, just because you miss the girly does not mean you have to pace back and forth all day. You are interrupting the game, so stop it.”
Bring his claws out, Logan grab hold of Remy's shirt and pointed the sharp appendage at his throat. “I don't miss Kagome.” Logan growled out dropping Remy none to nicely on the couch. “I just have a bad feeling that is all, like something bad is happening.” Remy smirked triumphantly at Logan. “Oh did I say you missed Kagome, I was meaning to say Jean. Logan you sly dog, I had no idea you had a thing for the petite.”
Logan froze in realization of what he just said. Blood rushed to his cheeks, “wh-what are you talking about. I am just worried about her be-because it is her first mission” Logan sputter out. Before Remy could farther embarrass him, Logan scurried out of the lounge and back to his room.
