Kanaye: Hey everybody! Long time no write! HA too many exclamation points. Ok well I am just gonna get right into the chapter. Please R&R (read and review) and if you like it, get other peeps to read it. Last time I tried to promote my fic, AOL kicked me off the internet, so please help me out if you like my fic! Thanks, now here is chapter 9!

Chapter 9: Viva Las Vegas! Part 3

Inuyasha walked up to the table where his friends sat, his hair still messed up despite his efforts to calm it down. Sango buried her head in her arms with laughter as Inuyasha took his seat and Miroku just couldn't help cracking a little smirk. Inuyasha glared at them.

"What's so stinkin' funny huh?"

Sango attempted putting her head back up, but took one look at Inuyasha and began to crack up again. Miroku chuckled softly and turned to Inuyasha.

"I think what she meant to say was, what took you so long?"

Inuyasha went slightly red but quickly recovered. "I got cold so I went to get a sweatshirt." He said calmly, mentally noting to himself how lame that sounded, especially for him, and to think of some more excuses for the next time he decided to sneak away with Kagome.

Miroku cocked an eyebrow. "Then where is it?"

"I GOT HOT OKAY!" he growled, trying to keep the level of his voice down.

"Okay, fine, I'm not one to pry." Said Miroku defensively putting his hands up in front of him to exaggerate the point. At that comment, Sango sat up and somehow managed to immediately regain her composure. She turned her head to Miroku.

"What world are you living in? You try to spy on Inuyasha every time he goes to talk with Kagome." She spat, but in a playful way.

"WHO SAID I WAS WITH KAGOME?!?" Inuyasha said a little to sparatically.

"Oh come on Inuayasha it's totally obvious!" she laughed. "`I got cold so I went to get a sweatshirt.'" She imitated Inuyasha in a lower male impersonation and laughed at herself.

Inuyasha opened his mouth to fight back when Miroku interjected. "Ah, Kagome, Shippou, how nice of you to join us." Inuyasha closed his mouth in defeat so Kagome wouldn't have to deal with another argument.

Kagome walked up with Shippou in hand and scooted Shippou to his seat and sat down next to Inuyasha. "So is everyone ready to order?" She got mostly a response of mumbles. She waited a moment to see if they had more to say when her stomach gave a painful lurch. She knew she couldn't wait any longer.

"Alright then I will order I am starved." She snatched up a menu, skimmed her finger down the inside and stopped on one line in the center. "That sounds good." She said. She waved her hand in the air for a waiter and she was immediately tended to.

"What can I get you?" said a handsome young man.

"We'll take the seafood pot for 5 and a kid's personal pizza for him." She said pointing to Shippou.

"Will that be all for you today?"

"Yes, tha- actually no. I will take…" she tapped her head thoughtfully. "…um, a Dr. Pepper and 4 Sprites.

The waiter wrote down the order on his pad and stuck the pencil behind his ear.

"Alright, your order should be right up." He said swiftly with a smile as he collected the menus. He turned on his heel and went to the kitchen. Kagome watched the double doors swing loosely after he had gone out of sight. She glanced to the left of the double doors at a large palm tree plant. She found herself strangely drawn to it. Her eyes softened and all she could think about was that plant. Before she knew it she found herself rising to her feet. She looked more closely at the plant. What was that? She saw a pair of glowing red eyes directly in the center. She was closing in…. 10 feet…. 5 feet… JOLT. All the sudden she stopped moving at the feel of a warm hand on her arm. She turned around to Inuyasha. He was looking at her like she was crazy.

"Are you okay?" he asked concernedly.

"I-I'm fine." She said softly. "I just dazed out for a minute." Her voice still sounded monotonous though. Inuyasha guided her back to the table and sat her down, holding onto her arm the whole time. The rest of the table looked at her questioningly. "What are you all looking at me like that for?" she said.

"You mean you have no idea what you just did?" Said Sango. Kagome was confused now.

"W-what exactly d-did I do?" she stammered.

"You were fine and then all the sudden you just rose up from your chair and started walking towards that plant." She pointed towards the kitchen area. "Your eyes were all misty and you were muttering words in a language I didn't even know existed." She finished quietly. `That plant…." Thought Kagome. `Wait! That plant, those eyes…' She snapped her head around at the plant, but found it to be quite ordinary and quite without eyes. She turned back to the table. "I guess that's what hunger does to you!" She said lightly, as she tried to force a giggle out. But she knew that wasn't it. Something weird just happened, but the weirdest part was that she wanted it to happen again.
