Inuyasha: I don't want to.

Kanaye: don't want to? Excuse me, but just the last chapter you were whining about how I forgot you!

Inuyasha: well now I don't care.

Kanaye: AARGH! Whatever, Sango your up.

Sango: Thank you! Kanayekisho does not own me or Inuyasha or any of the other Inuyasha characters so please do not get angry and sue her or something because she is just trying to make a good story and I think tha…..

Kanaye: Sango….

Sango: …. And they should just go jump off a cliff into……

Kanaye: SANGO!

Sango: he he, sorry.

Kanaye: Ok here is the exciting conclusion to my previous cliffie! Chapter 12!

Chapter 12: Viva Las Vegas! Final Installment

"What are you doing here? How did you get here? And what have you done with all the people?" said Sango. Kikyou tut-tutted. "Now see I just can't have you rambling off like this. I simply don't have the time." Sango opened her mouth to retort but before she had a chance, Kikyou raised her right arm and shot a glowing red ball of energy at Sango. It engulfed her in electrifying red energy as it lifted her body high above the ground and threw her across the room into a wall. On impact the energy released her and she fell limply onto the ground, her head lolled and she became obviously unconscious. Miroku watched as she flew into the wall.

"Sango!" he turned on Kikyou. "You're going to regret that!" He gritted. He impulsively reached for his hand containing the wind tunnel. Kikyou laughed heartily.

"Uh uh uh." She said. "Do you really plan on destroying this building which still contains innocent people all for the likes of me?" she said playfully.

He scowled but lowered his hand. Kikyou smiled evilly. "Good boy."

"What are you doing here Kikyou?" he asked forcefully.

Kikyou sighed. "I am really getting tired of that question. You will find out soon enough why I am here, but unfortunately I will have to remove you from sight."

"Wha…" he began, but he was stopped as he too was put under the force of the glowing red electric energy that Kikyou was supplying. He was forced just next to Sango, but not with enough force to knock him out. Miroku watched as a barrier of red lightning surrounded him and another for Sango.

`Damn,' thought Miroku. `me and Sango are in separate barriers, now I can't reach her.'

Kikyou looked over at them with a satisfied smirk on her face. She waved her hand once more and the barriers containing Sango and Miroku disappeared from view. "That should hold you for a time, and don't bother trying to yell out form them, they are sound proof." She said to the conscious Miroku that she knew was watching her and listening.

Miroku pounded his fist on the ground. "You better hurry up Inuyasha."

"Yes hurry up Inuyasha. We're all waiting for you." Said Kikyou before turning to her hostage.

Inuyasha didn't waste any more time standing in shock with the phone in his hand. He dropped it quickly and grabbed his Tetsuiga from under the hotel mattress. He ran out of the room slamming the door behind him while at the exact moment, Shippou landed on the balcony to come in.

Inuyasha ran down the stairs to the bottom floor, where he arrived to an eerily empty lobby. He slowed his pace down to a walk. "Kagome!" he called. He craned his neck in all directions looking desperately for some sign of life. All the sudden the lights flickered out and he was left in darkness. He gripped his tetsuiga and continued on. A beam of light widened directly ahead of him, to show Kagome's limp body, sprawled across the cold ground. "Kagome!" he ran to her and turned her over. She blinked slowly and opened her eyes. She looked up to him and sat up. "Oh Inuyasha." She said and collapsed herself into his arms. "It was terrible, so terrible." He held her tighter.

"Are you okay? Where is she?" he said urgently.

"I'm fine now that you're here." She said softly and hugged him tighter. Inuyasha rested his chin on her shoulder. "Listen Kagome, this place is dangerous we need to get ou…" slash. Kagome slashed his side and stood up full with her right hand bloody and suddenly containing claws. She watched the shocked look on Inuyasha's face until he looked up at her. He clutched his injured side as he cringed with each word. "Ka-kagome, why?" She was no longer herself. Her eyes glowed red and she simply walked away from Inuyasha and his wound. "Kagome wait!" Kagome kept walking into the darkness and then another form took Kagome's place in the light. She no longer wore her red pants and white shirt, but instead tight black leather pants and a red and black jacket to match. Her hair was still pulled back, but now she had tiny fangs and claws like Kagome's newly acquired ones.

"Kagome! Kagome! Come back, come back!" Kikyou mocked in a high pitched voice. "Good work Kagome, I see that my little enchantment is working perfectly on you."

Inuyasha growled up at her. "What did you DO TO HER?"

She laughed. "Oh nothing really, just put her under the spell of my new hanyou energy so that I can use her to destroy you and to get the jewel that so rightfully belongs to me."

"What in the hell happened to you? You would never become a half demon and you've never wanted the jewel before! And how did you get here?"

"What happened to me? I assisted in the downfall of Naraku by sacrificing my freedom to his service. And how do you thank me? You run to that little wench over there and become mates. Naraku forcefully bestowed me with power in order to assist him, and although it was not what I wished, I have become quite accustomed to this state. The jewel is now the only thing that can give me happiness. I have given up on a life of peace and reserve. I am free to live as I wish and I wish to have more power. Only the jewel of four souls can truly satisfy my craving." She paused for a moment. "Oh yes, and I am not the Kikyou of the past, but the Kikyou of the future. I have lived these past 500 years and waited for when I might face you. I found out long ago that you came to the future with that girl, and my connections did not fail me when they said that you were here."

Inuyasha stared blankly at her, but was still aware of the pain. He couldn't take in so much information at once. So they defeat Naraku? Or is she lying? He and Kagome mate? He shook his head to clear his thoughts.

"Why did you need to use Kagome though? There are millions of other people who you could have easily manipulated. Why her?" He said.

"Because she already has miko power and combined with some of my power, she will be quite useful. Oh and the fact that she means so much to you, that was just a perk."

Inuyasha growled again and attempted to lunge at her, only to be forced back by an invisible barrier.

"Don't bother Inuyasha. You cannot saver her and you cannot stop me. I will live on alone with the power of the jewel and you will die at the hands of your precious Kagome." She said pompously.

"I- I feel s-s-sorry for you."

Kikyou turned around. "What? Who said that?" she looked over her shoulder and saw Kagome shakily attempting to stand.

"How did you free yourself from my powers?" she spat.

"L-like you said k-Kikyou, I am a miko t-t-too." She replied.

"Kagome! Is it you again?" asked Inuyasha.

Before she had a chance to respond, Kikyou interjected. "No matter, kagome you are now of no use to me. I will have to take care of Inuyasha alone and you my dear will die before he can reach you."

"Kagome I'm coming!!" Shouted Inuyasha as he attempted to slash Kikyou with his sword again, only to be thrown back again.

"Why are you a-acting like this? You are just sad, just hurt, just- just human." Stammered Kagome. She was stumbling everywhere, in account of her being drained from fighting against Kikyou's power.

"I am no longer a human, I am an angry hanyou. Your sympathy is not welcome and it will not save you."

"He still cares about you." She said quietly.

"Shut-up." Muttered Kikyou.

"He may not love you how you wish, but he still cares. He still ca…"

"SHUT-UP!!!!!" she cried angrily. She began to gather all her red lightning energy and aimed it towards Kagome. "DIE!!!!!" She threw the energy towards Kagome's body. Inuyasha desperately swung his sword at the barrier, but failed and was losing energy quickly. He refused to give up though. "KAGOME WATCH OUT!!" he shouted as he continued to try to reach her. Kagome suddenly started to glow bright blue. What was left of her miko energy was rising to the surface to protect her. The infitesimal ball of energy swirled around Kagome, turning her aura purple, and although Kagome collapsed to the ground, the ball of energy continued its path, but directed itself towards Kikyou.

"What is this?!? NO! THIS CANNOT BE!" she shrieked.

In the mere seconds between when Kagome let the energy flow back to Kikyou, Inuyasha managed somehow to break through the barrier and his slash of Tetsuiga went through the energy ball and combined its power right before it hit Kikyou. Inuyasha stood still as the ball of swirling red and gold energy hit Kikyou dead on and she dissolved into millions of tiny red crystals and floated away up to the sky. Inuyasha ran directly to Kagome and cradled her in his arms. He checked for a pulse and once he was sure that she was alright, but just passed out, he let himself calm down. He looked up to the sky. "Goodbye Kikyou, I hope you find peace." He said quietly.

"Inuyasha!" he heard his name shouted and turned to see his comrades (Sango included) in a corner he thought was deserted.

"Where did you guys come from?" he said.

"We've been here the whole time. Kikyou sealed us in barriers that were hidden from sight." Sango crawled over to him. "What did I miss?" she asked, a small shake still in her voice from the impact.

Miroku smiled a little but shook his head. "The whole battle I'm afraid."

"Are Inuyasha and Kagome okay? Where are they? And where's Kikyou?" She immediately began to panick.

"Calm down, calm down, they are fine. But more importantly are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine. My head hurts a little, but nothing that I can't handle." She said with a weak smile. Miroku placed a hand on her shoulder and turned to Inuyasha. "We better go find Shippou and get out of here. I expect that all of the residents of this hotel will be reappearing soon."

Inuyasha nodded and picked Kagome up gingerly.

"MIROKU! SANGO! INUYASHA!" Shippou came running through the front doors.

"Shippou are you okay? Where were you?" asked Sango.

Shippou caught his breath and continued. "I got to the balcony and saw Inuyasha run out of the door, but when I tried to get in I got shocked by red energy. I tried as many other balconies as I could, but they were all giving off the same red energy. I went to the front doors and I just kept pounding on it and sent foxfire towards it and everything until they finally just opened! I'm so sorry! I let you all down!" he cried.

"It's okay Shippou, we're just glad that you're safe." Said Miroku.

"Where's Kagome? Is she okay?" He said.

"She is passed out, but not badly hurt." Said Inuyasha. Shippou hopped up into Miroku and they all walked quietly back to their room. Inuyasha laid Kagome down gently on the bed, tucked the covers in over her, and kissed her gently. He came back with a washcloth to clean his blood from her hand that no longer bared claws as it did earlier. He went to his bathroom to wash out the cloth and found another note, similar to the one that he was given earlier telling him of Kagome's state of danger. He opened cautiously.

Go home while you still can. She will be going through many changes and will need Kaede's help. Take care little brother.

"Little brother…. Wait that means that Sesshomaru just helped us!" he said aloud.

Miroku came in with Sango. "What was that?"

"Sesshomaru, my bastard of a brother, just sent me a note telling me to be careful!" steamed Inuyasha.

"I guess a lot of things changed in time." Smiled Sango.

"Do I trust him though? What should I do?" he said.

"Listen to him. Let's get our bags packed and go home. He probably knows a lot more about this matter then we do, and whatever changes kagome is going to endure, I believe that Kaede actually will benefit this situation." She replied.

"Wait, how did you know he said to go home?"

"Inuyasha you are holding the note open about 2 inches from me. I read it myself."

She laughed and walked to her room with Miroku. In a matter of 30 minutes they were all packed. They decided to wait until morning to check out though, seeing as Kagome was the only one with the knowledge to get them home. Inuyasha sat down on the bed next to Kagome and stroked her hair.

"I don't know how you're going to change Kagome, but I promise I will be there for you. I won't fail you like I did today ever again." With that he lay down with his hand over her waist and drifted into sleep.

Kanaye: WOW that was a long chapter! And guess what? There are no more Viva Las Vegas parts!!!!!!!! Yay! New titles! Ok please review! New chapter will be out soon!
