CHAPTER 20
Sango was inside one of the huts in Kaede’s village warming up by a fire. Shippo was on the other side of the hut coloring, when Inuyasha and Kagome walked in.
“Were did you guys go? You were like gone all day!” Sango asked. Miroku was sitting in a corner in the hut with a red mark on his face. Sango gave him an evil yet playful glare. It was like she was thinking “Haha I slapped you!” Miroku just smiled. Kagome went over and sat down by Sango and Inuyasha went over to see what Shippo was coloring. When Inuyasha got near he saw what he was drawing. It was a picture of two people kissing. Inuyasha’s eyes got wide. Then he grabed Shippo’s picture and threw it in the fire and punched him on the head.
“OUTCH! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!” Shippo yelled rubbing his head.
Inuyasha just grunted and sat down over by Kagome and Sango.
“Inuyasha winter is near, tomarrow we have to go to my era so I can get some winter cloths.” Kagome said snuggling up to him for warmth.
“Ok.” He said and wrapped his arms around her to keep her warm.
The next morning Inuyasha and Kagome set out for the well.
“I supose I should get a few more things wail we are there too.” Kagome said.
Inuyasha just nodded. He seemed to be deep in thought, he has been like that lately. It seemed odd to Kagome. Once they got to the well Inuyasha grabed Kagome’s hand and they jumped in, and with that they vanished.
“Grandpa!” Kagome yelled running through the front door to her house.
There was no answer. So Kagome just ran up to her room and started grabbing winter cloths from her closet. Just as she was closeing her suit case she herd voices coming from outside. They sounded familiar to Kagome, but she couldn’t quite tell who they were. She went over to her window and looked out only to see that it was Kagome’s friends from school, and they were right there screaming at Inuyasha.
“Oh no!” She thought and ran outside. “Hey guys-haha-umm what are you doing here?” Kagome asked as she ran over to everyone.
“Kagome this-this, thing says that your married to him!” One of her friends yelled out.
Kagome blushed, so did Inuyasha.
“That’s because we are!” Kagome yelled.
“Like yeah right! We arnt gonna fall for that one either Kagome! Your only 15 you can’t get married!”
“I can and I did!”
“Prove it then.”
Kagome thought about this one, she didn’t have a ring or anything.
“I-a, well, we did!” Kagome studdered.
“Com’on Kagome we don’t have time for this get your things and lets head back.” Inuyasha said ignoring the other girls.
Kagome held up her suit case and said “Im ready when you are.”
They headed for the well and her friends fallowed. Kagome looked back and said to her friends, “This should be proof enough.” Her and Inuyasha grabed hands and jumped into the well. Her friends tried to grab them, but as they looked down the well they saw nothing, not a thing but the dirt at the bottom.
Miroku and Sango were out takeing a walk when all of a sudden Sango stopped him.
“What is it?” He asked.
“Miroku, I-I, ummm this is kinda hard for me to say. But I love you Miroku.” Sango studdered.
His eyes got very wide when Sango said this and he felt the same, but loads of questions came rushing into his mind when she said those three words. “What will I do? Does this mean I have to stop groping other women if I said I love her too? Would I beable to do that? Would she leave me if I accidently did?” All these questions made his head ache.
“Sango, I love you too.” He said thinking, “I know you’re the one for me, I wont touch another women again, I hope.”
Sango smiled and kissed him gently on the lips. Miroku was surprised, but then he smiled and kissed her back.
Kagura was looking at the ground. “What should I do now? Naraku is dead so I don’t have to fallow commands. Kanna is also gone, I killed Kohaku, and the jewel is gone.” She was flying on her feather when she came close to were Sango and Miroku were.
“Huh? That’s the monk and demon slayer, the ones who hang around Inuyasha.” She said outloud. Miroku and Sango didn’t seem to notice that Kagura was near by so hand in hand they walked into the forest. Kagura was surprised that they didn’t pick up on her ora. “Hmm..I wonder….” She thought and flew off. Sango looked at Miroku as they walked and thought, “Miroku you have been so good to me, dispite the fact you rub my butt every time you get the chance.” She smiled at him and kept walking.
Inuyasha and Kagome were just coming out of the well when Inuyasha picked up on Kagura’s sent.
“So, I guess she isn’t dead yet.” He said outloud.
“Who isn’t dead yet?” Kagome asked as she pulled herself out of the old dry well.
He looked at her and helped her out of the well. “Oh never mind, isn’t really important.”
“Well ok.”
Kagome and Inuyasha started to make there way to Kaede’s village when they ran into Miroku and Sango coming out of the forest hand in hand. At the site of them holding hands Kagome smiled. Inuyasha didn’t even notice and kept walking. Soon they came to Kaede’s village, it was late afternoon when Kagome started making some stew. Inuyasha and Miroku were down in a hot spring so Kagome decided to ask Sango about earlier.
“So Sango hows everything going with you and Miroku?” She asked turning the stew in the pot. Sango looked up at Kagome, “Umm well….he kissed me! And said he loved me!” Sango said practily squeeling.
“Oh my god! Sango Im so happy for you two!”
Then Miroku and Inuyasha came back in from the hot springs so Kagome kept quiet and went back to turning the stew in the pot. Soon the stew was done and everyone had a bowl.
“That was good.” Miroku said setting down his empty bowl. “Well Im exhosted.” Kagome said. Then she got out her sleeping bag and made a bed. Kagome got in and covered up. Soon after Kagome herd everyone say their goodnights and Miroku and Sango went into another hut across from theirs. She then felt Inuyasha get in the sleeping bag with her and he wrapped his arms around her. Kagome’s body started to warm up from his body heat and she felt relaxed. It felt good to have Inuyasha by her side all the time. But she did often wonder if Inuyasha missed Kikyo. She tried not to think of that much though. Kaogme slowly shut her eyes and fell into a deep sleep. Inuyasha was still awake, he could feel Kagome’s hair dangle down on to his hand when ever she turned to get comfterble. Just then a sent filled Inuyasha’s nose, he sat up and sniffed hard. “Yes Im pretty sure that’s her” Inuyasha thought and sat up. Kagome rolled over and and mumbled something that Inuyasha couldn’t make out. Carefully getting up Inuyasha made his way out of the hut trying not to wake Kagome.
Soon Inuyasha was out in the forest fallowing the sent, “Its her, but how? Its imposable for her to be alive….” Inuyasha thought. But just then a long pale figure slithered up in the air holding a white ball. Inuyasha’s eyes widened. He fallowed the soul collecter to a large tree. There was a glow in up in the tree, Inuyasha looked up and saw a body laying on a branch. He gasped. “K-Kikyo?!” Inuyasha said outloud.
There was no response. Inuyasha jumped up into the tree and looked at her. Her eyes were shut and she wasn’t breathing, but the soul collectors kept coming with new souls. Dropping them into Kikyo’s lifeless clay body. Then all of a sudden fire surrounded the tree and Kikyo’s eyes shot open.
“Inuyasha! Why, why did you betray me?! You said you loved me! You said you wanted to be with me!” Kikyo screamed.
Inuyasha jumped into a near by branch, this all looked fimilar. Those words he has herd before. Just then Inuyasha tried to yell back at her but as he opened his mouth nothing came out. He tried again, but the same thing happened. Then all of a sudden everything became dark. He herd a faint voice chanting his name.
“Inuyasha……” Came the voice.
He knew the voice but was to confused to make it out.
“Inuyasha” Came the voice again.
Inuyasha’s eyes shot open. Kagome’s face was over him.
“What the?” Inuyasha started to say.
“Inuyasha finally you came to!” Kagome said and hugged him. “I was so worried.”
Inuyasha looked at Kagome, “Wha-what the hell happened?” He asked.
“You were having a nightmare I think.” Kagome said, “You were…umm never mind.” Kagome turned away almost in tears, “I knew he would never forget Kikyo.” She thought to herself. Inuyasha sat up, he could smell tears on Kagome.
“Why are you crying?” He asked confused.
“WHY? Why! Do you really wanna know why! Its because you-you were yelling out Kikyo’s name that’s why!” Kagome screamed and ran out of the hut.
Inuyasha groaned, “Kagome! Its not like that!”
Kagome didn’t listen she just kept on walking, deeper and deeper into the forest. Inuyasha got up and ran out after her. It didn’t take him long to catch up with her.
“Kagome will you just stop and listen!?” Inuyasha said walking by her side.

“Fine then I’ll tell you wheather you like it or not! I was dreaming that Kikyo was still alive and she was up in a tree. I went to see if she was ok, nothing more!” He confessed.
Kagome didn’t pay any attenchion she did hear what he said, but she didn’t want to believe it. Inuyasha then walked in front of Kagome.
“Kagome I love you, not Kikyo, but YOU. And you know that!” Inuyasha said in a serious voice.
Kagome looked at Inuyasha and more tears streamed down her face. “I-Inuyasha!” She gasped. “I know that, but I just keep getting the thought that you are still in love with Kikyo.”
Inuyasha embraced her and said, “Kagome I love you and only you. No one else.” He cooed her and tried to calm her down.
“Im sorry for jumping to conclusions Inuyasha.” Kagome said barrying her face in his kemono.
“Its ok, everything is gonna be fine.” Inuyasha said in a calm voice.
Kagome opened her eyes only to have the bright rays of the sun blind her for only a moment. Then she sat up and looked around. She looked down and saw that Inuyasha had already awakened, well of course he did he was always awake before her most of the time. It has been almost 4 months now since Kagome and Inuyasha were wed. She got up from bed and looked around,
“I must have dozed off in your arms last night?” She asked.
“Yeah you did. Kagome, I love you and only you.” He kissed her. She smiled,
“Damn straight.”

“KAGOME OH MY GOD!” She hugged her friend and knocked the both of them over.
“What is it Sango?” Kagome asked laughing.
“Miroku and I are gunna get married!” She laughed.
