The End
Chapter 6
Three Days of Unknowing

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, so don't make me say it again because I'll start crying for I don't know what I'd do if Rumiko Takahashi didn't start the manga.

It had been three days since Inuyasha had taken the jewel from Kagome. Three days of unknowing. It was unknown what would happen to Inuyasha after he became… It was unknowing what sort of danger her friends could be un and it unknowing if that danger had already come to pass. And the worst of the unknowing was that Kagome had no idea what she herself could do about any of this. She'd been up sick about the entire ordeal all-night every night since. Her mother had kept her home all these three horrible endless days of unknowing and she had to do something so here she sat breathing feverently, her knuckles sore and cracked from beating at the unmoved earth beneath her at the bottom of the bone-eater's well.

Kagome stood up defeated, climbed up from the well and out into the cold night air. Regretfully she trudged into her warm house, through the kitchen where her family sat happily chortling along finishing their suppers.

“Kagome,” her mother said to her. “Come eat with us.”

“I'm not hungry.” Kagome said flatly. Her stomach growled and she silently thanked the lord, her mother hadn't heard. She closed her door, flipped off the light and walked to her bed. She dosed off and on fading in and out from a troubled sleep.
