“I see,” Miroku said onto the side of the `Bone Eaters Well' and looked down on it, “so Kagome went back to her own time then?” He asked looking at Shippo who had told him what had happened.

“Yep,” Shippo replied with a nod.

“And InuYasha went down after her?” Sango said, sitting under the sacred tree that InuYasha had been pinned too, fifty years ago, while petting Kirara which lay asleep on her lap.

Shippo turned to Sango nodded, “yup,”

“Huh,” Miroku said, “I suppose you can't blame her…” he said.

“Yeah, Kagome's injuries were great,” Sango stated. “Tani gave her great injuries when she attacked her with her claws when she was a demon.” she continued when she thought back to when Tani was in her full, blooded demon state.

“I'll say,” Shippo agreed, “she probably has better treatments in her own time for her injury to heal a little quicker. She did mention that she was going to restock on treatments incase we go into an intense battle.”

“Hopefully,” Sango began, “both Kagome and InuYasha return soon… we need them more then ever now…”

“I completely agree with you Sango,” Miroku said turning to Sango. He then looked back down at the well, as did Shippo and hopes that InuYasha and Kagome are to return as soon as possible…

----

“OH MY GOODNESS, KAGOME! What has happened to your arm? …My poor granddaughter!!” Kagome's grandfather cried as he looked at Kagome's injured arm. “Oh, what has happened to you my child?”

Kagome was hesitant as she held onto her arm, “it's nothing serious Grandpa… honest…” she said.

Kagome had made it back to her time era, got out of the well that was kept in her family's shrine and made it back to her modern time home. The moment she had stepped in, her grandfather nearly had a heart attack from the site of his granddaughter's injury.

Soon after, Kagome's mother, Mrs. Higurashi had entered the living room, “whats the-,” she stopped herself from the sight of her daughter's injured arm as well as she turned pale from the sight, “oh my… Kagome!” She cried, “What has happened?”

“Uh… mom… I'm fine; it's not that serious… I just had a little accident, that's all. I only came here to get more treatments for this wound.” Kagome said.

Mrs. Higurashi tried to calm himself and then sighed, “Alright, Kagome, “she began, “I'm going to go to the out and buy some more treatments for that wound then,” she said as she made her way upstairs to her bedroom.

Kagome smiled, “Thanks mom,”

“Don't worry Kagome,” Grandpa Higurashi began, “I'm going to fine special family sutras for that wound in a jiffy,”

“Don't bother Grandpa, please,” Kagome said with a sigh. None of her grandfather's sutras ever worked. “In the mean time, can you tell me where Sota is? I haven't seen the little rascal in a while.”

“Hmm, Sota is in school, what do you think? He left for school about an hour ago.” He replied.

Kagome gasped, “School! Another reason why I came back here, I have to catch up on my school work!” She thought as she rushed to the stairs, “Grandpa, I'm going to take a quick bath and head for school,”

“With your condition? Stay home, in bed?” Her grandfather said, “Besides, I already called the school, telling them that you weren't coming in today!”

“Well can you call them and tell them that I'm going to school?” Kagome asked as she made her way up the stairs, “just call them that I'm going to be coming a little late,”

“But Kagome,” Grandfather Higurashi pressed.

Kagome didn't reply as she quickly ran to the bathroom and slammed the door behind her.

After her quick bath, Kagome got out of her dirty old school uniform and into her new ones as she grabbed her backpack, her lunch and head out the door for school.

---

Once Kagome had reached school, she had realized that students were outside, around the school area. Some students were entering the school and some were leaving it. She figured that it was their lunch break.

“Great,” Kagome thought herself, “I've missed half of school already…” she then sighed and continued to walk into the school, through the doors as she made her way into the school, at least until…

“Yo Kagome!” A voiced called out to her.

Kagome stopped walking and turned to see who called out her name. It was her three good old friends, Yuka, Eri, and Ayumi. Kagome waited until her friends caught up to her.

Once her friends caught up to her, they all suddenly froze in fear and gasped from the sight of Kagome's arm that was in badages.

“Kagome…” Yuka trailed off.

“What in the world happened to you?!” Eri asked in shock.

“Your arm!” Ayumi stated.

Kagome sighed and smiled to her friends, “it's nothing serious guys, really,” she said, “I'm fine…”

“Your grandfather wasn't joking…” Ayumi started, “you really were in bandages from your biking accident…”

“…heke…?…uh… u-uhh…” Kagome speechless, “…Biking accident…?” she repeated, “Grandpa must've really ran out of illnesses…” she thought, feeling a sweatdrop go down her head.

“Come on Kagome,” Eri began as she grabbed a hold of Kagome's right arm, that wasn't injured gently.

“Where are we going?” Kagome asked.

“We have lunch remember, which means we got to get our grub on and discuss what has been happening to you.” Yuka explained.

So, Kagome, Yuka, Ayumi and Eri all were on their way to their famous hangout spot to discuss the stuff that's been happening to Kagome. Everytime Kagome had returned from the Fuedal Era, it had always been some sort of routine that Kagome had already gotten used too.

The basic routine that Kagome would through everytime when she got back to her time period would be; returning home, family asking how her trip to the Feudal Era was, Kagome would have something to eat, bath, go to school, she see's her friends, her friend's would ask about her illness and how that was, usally Hojo shows up and asks about Kagome's illness, then Kagome and her friends would go to their favourite fast food resutrant- WacDonalds, talk about Kagome's `boy,' Kagome goes home and then returns to the Feudal Era.

Once Kagome and her friends had gotten their food, they then made their way to their booth and began to eat their lunch.

Eri decided to speak, “so Kagome…” she began.

Kagome put her food on her tray and looked up at Eri, giving her her full attention.

“Tell me something,” Eri continued, “how exactly did you get that injury?”

“my injury?” Kagome asked and then realized what Eri was asking, “oh right, my injury, Eri, Yuka and Ayumi don't know about the real story… about how Tani attacked me when she was a demon…” Kagome thought, having a flashback to when Tani attacked her in her demon form.

She remembered how terryfiying Tani looked when she was a demon. Almost as terryfying as when InuYasha was a demon. How could someone so innocent and sweet turn into something so frightning? It obviously the work of the Shikon Jewel and Naraku which manipulated her into becoming bitter and vengful which influnced the Sacred jewel to become more evil in return…

Kagome remembered the whole incident clearly… She was in the firewire along with the unconcious Kikyo and her friends but InuYasha who had managed to escape from the fire thanks to his kimono which was made from the cloth of the fire rat.

Kagome needed to find a way to turn Tani back to her half demon state until she remembered that she had Tani's necklace that was tainted. So Kagome did what she could and purified the necklace, at least she tried to which gave Tani great pain as she collapsed. Luckily InuYasha was able to catch her-that was a wrong move.Tani hadn't returned back to her half demon state, as she attacked Kagome.

When she attacked Kagome, Kagome remembered her anger as she clenched her fists with rage, Try that again priestess, I dare you...” Kagome remembered Tani say to her, “trust me, listen to what the girl said, it could've been much worst, for all we know if I was born a full demon I would've slit her through no problem, I would not regret it in the very least…”

“Kagome…” Yuka asked.

Kagome soon snapped back to reality, realizing that she was so deep in thought that she forgot where she was, “Huh? What?”

“You seem really deep thought…” Yuka implied.

“Are the memories of the biking accident too graphic to tell?” Ayumi asked with a lot of concern.

“Don't worry Kagome” Eri reassured, you don't have to tell us if you don't want to…”

Yuka then smiled, “we understand…”

Confused, Kagome decided to go along with it. She wouldn't even know where to begin with her “Biking incident” story with her friends, “Thanks guys…” she said, “I appreciate it.”

“However…” Eri said with a evil grin.

Kagome got confused again, “huh?”

“You have to tell us whats been going on with your `guy,'” Yuka finished.

“Come on,” Ayumi pressed, “what's he been up to lately?”

“Is he still the same old grouchy, `bad boy' type?” Eri asked.

“Did anything happen to you two?” Yuka asked.

“Woah, woah, woah guys,” Kagome said waving her uninjured hand, “back it up,”

“Well?” Eri urged.

“Tell us…” Ayumi and Yuka said in unison.

“Uh…” Kagome started, “I don't know where to begin…”

“Is he still moody?” Ayumi asked.

Kagome thought about it before she spoke, “uh, well… when is he not moody?” She asked herself, “I guess you can say not recently…infact,” Kagome smiled to herself, “he's acutally been showing his soft side.”

Ayumi seemed intrigued as she smiled. Eri and Yuka on the other hand seemed one-sided. After everything they've heard about Kagome's `guy' it was pretty hard to believe that his soft side actually exhisted. Eri and Yuka have come to know that Kagome's `guy' was aggressive and ruthless.

“You're kidding, right Kagome?” Eri asked.

“Why would I be?” Kagome asked.

“Just how does he show his soft side?” Yuka asked, “we've come to learn that your `guy' is physco and like, insane and stubborn.”

“He can be at times… he's really had a difficult past you know…” Kagome said, “and seeing his past reflected on someone… he tries not to show that he isn't a big softy when really he is.”

“What do you mean by, his past reflected on others?” Ayumi asked.

“When he was younger, he was constantly picked on because he was hal-,” Kagome tried to explain but then stopped herself so that she wouldn't give out too much information, “different,”

Kagome's friends leaned closer.

Yuka leaned ever closer, “you mean…”

“He was bullied?” Eri finally asked.

Kagome nodded sadly, feeling sorry for InuYasha, “Uh huh, did a lot of damage to him emotionally, he couldn't trust anyone after that. His parents both died when he was young so he was all alone in the world… seeing that happen to someone else, it gets to him…” She said thinking of InuYasha feeling sorry for Tani.

“Stop that Kagome,” Ayumi said wiping her eye, “this story is really getting to me…it's a real tear jerker here!”

“Yeah Kagome,” Eri agreed, “who'd thought that your guy had such a sad story.”

“It's so touching,” Yuka stated wiping her eye as well.

“Oh, I'm sorry you guys,” Kagome apologized, “I didn't mean to make you all sad.”

“No Kagome,” Yuka responded, “we now understand why he seems so, aggressive.”

“I guess so,” Kagome replied, “he has been through some rough patches which could contribute to his behaviour. It's just that,” Kagome shrugged her shoulders, “I don't know, he shows a little more compassion each day and it's…” she smiled to herself again, “it's nice seening that in him once in a while… y'know?”

Her friend's giggled and smiled.

“What?” Kagome asked.

“Oh Kagome,” Eri said.

“You seem to be falling deeper and deeper in love with this guy.” Ayumi stated.

Kagome blushed.

“See?” Yuka pointed, “you're blushing right now!”

Kagome's face then fully turned red, “I-I am?!” she asked feeling embarassed.

Ayumi giggled once again, “yup,”

“You're as red as a tomatoe!” Eri stated.

“That's because you're making me feel like such a, fool!” Kagome protested blushing even more.

“Why? Because you're inlove?” Yuka teased.

“Come on you guys,” Kagome begged, “you're embarrassing me…”

“Oh we love you Kagome, we're just poking around with ya,” Eri said.

“It's nice that things are going okay for you and your guys.” Ayumi said.

“At it's also nice to hear that his soft side exhists.” Yuka stated.

Eri and Ayumi nodded in unison.

“Yup,” Ayumi agreed.

“That's for sure,” Eri smiled.

After they finished their lunch at their all time favourite fast food resturant, Kagome and her friends made their way back to school to finish off the rest of the day. Kagome and her friends were able to make it back on time for their algebra class only to find out that they were going to have an important quiz the next day! Finally, the bell had rung, signalling that school was done and the students were dismissmed.

“Oh man,” Kagome moaned while putting her books in her backpack as the students, one by one left the classroom, “quiz, tests, quiz, tests, quiz, tests…when will this nightmare end?”

“Uh Kagome?” Her friend, Yuka asked who sat behind her as she got up from her desk and put on her backpack.

“You okay?” Ayumi, who sat beside Kagome.

Kagome sighed, “I'm fine, it's just that… I don't know if I can handle another test, not even a quiz! How am I ever going to get through grade nine?” she asked.

Kagome's friends gave her sympathetic look, “it really sucks doesn't it? Since you're always sick all the time, it's difficult to catch up.” Eri sympathized.

Kagome sighed again, “tell me about it, I'm most likely end up flunking with the way things are going…” she said putting her head down, her shoulders sagging.

Soon a familiar young boy peeped his head through the door and smiled from the sight of Kagome. It was Hojou, one of Kagome's classmates from other classes who totally had a huge class on her- it was so obvious.

“Ah Kagome,” he said as he walked into the class, “how nice to see you again,”

“Hi Hojou,” Kagome greeted.

Hojou stopped walking when he reached Kagome. His smiled vanished and was replaced with a frown.

“Whats the matter Hojou?” Kagome asked feeling uneasy.

“So it is true…” Hojou began.

“Huh?”

“You did have that biking incident…”

Kagome felt a sweat drop go down her head as she was speachless once again and then clenched her fist, “Grandpa! You told Hojou too?”

“How is your arm?” He asked.

“It's okay, it's not as painful now then it was back then.” She replied.

“You have to be careful Kagome, you're still so young. First illnesses and now injuries.” Hojou said with a lot of concern in his eyes.

“It's surprising how she's even still alive too…” Yuka commented.

Kagome had forgotten that her friends were still here as she turned to Yuka and gave her a look.

“What?” Yuka protested, “it's true! You've developed sicknesses that we haven't even heard off and now you come back with a injured arm that you have to walk around like an injured puppy.”

“Grandpa!” Kagome yelled in her head.

“Luckily,” Hojou began as he took off his bag and dug into it and brought out what looked like milk and cheese in a gift basket.

Kagome laughed nervously, “is that for me?”

“Yup, provides extra source of calcium and helps build you up with strong bones and muscle!” Hojou said giving it to her.

“Gee Hojou,” Kagome said looking at the present and then at Hojou, “I don't know what to say…”

“Just promise that you finish it all up!” Hojou said with a smile as he picked up his backpack and put it back on and waved, “I have to get going, I'll see you around! Bye,” he said as he walked out the classroom.

Kagome along with Yuka, Eri and Ayumi were alone in the classroom again.

“Huh,” Eri began, “Cute guy with strange gifts.”

“Well he is pretty thoughtful,” Ayumi said.

“I'll say,” Kagome said looking at the gifts.

“Well,” Yuka started, “its about time that we should start heading back ourselves.”

They all nodded as they all collected their books and backs and started to make their way home.

---

After Kagome said buy to her friends, Kagome had finally made back to her home. She was at the front door. She wiped her feet and then opened the door and stepped inside.

Kagome then sighed, “What a long day,I'm exhausted, I'm home,” she announced.

But there was no answer.

Kagome walked further into her home wondering why there wasn't any response, “mom? Grandpa? Sota?” she asked, “Mom must be out shopping with Grandpa or something… then where is Sota?

She then heard somone call her, “yo Kagome!” he went.

“I know that voice,” Kagome told herself as she walked into the living.

Once she reached the living room, there was the half demon in his red kimono playing with the cat, sitting infront of the small table.

“I-Inu…InuYasha?” Kagome asked confused and then shook it off and frowned at him as she clenched her fist, “InuYasha!” She growled.

InuYasha's ears twitched and frowned in return, still holding the cat's paws, “What's your problem?”

“You know,” Kagome said dropping her back and sitting next to InuYasha, “why did you follow me back home to my world?”

“Ain't it obvoius?”

Kagome rolled her eyes, “honestly InuYasha, can't a girl relax in her own time period once in a while?”

“Don't be biting my head off Kagome,” InuYasha protested, “You should know better than to go back especially at a time like this!”

“Oh, so now I have to have your permission to go home?”

“Well… yeah!”

“InuYasha!”

“What? In your condition, who knows what could've happened to you! You're so reckless all the time!”

Kagome was going to say something but then stopped herself, “was he worried about me because of my arm? InuYasha,” Kagome's voice was soft, “Thank you for caring, but my time isn't as dangerous as it is back in the Feudal era… I can take care of myself.”

InuYasha blushed as he looked away, “I don't want you to get hurt again, that's all…” he finished.

Kagome's heart skipped a beat but then smiled, “thank you, InuYasha.”

“Hmph,” Went InuYasha, “Don't also forget… we need you to help us defeat Naraku too.”

Kagome nodded, “Yeah, I also came back here for more treatments to my wound and for you guys incase we go into battle.”

At that moment, both Kagome and InuYasha heard the sound of the door open and close.

“I'm home,” Called out the voice of Kagome's younger brother Sota.

Both Kagome and InuYasha heard the sound of footsteps, it was getting louder and louder. Sota was getting closer and closer.

“Hi Sota, me and InuYasha are in the living-,” Kagome froze and gasped from the sight of her brother, “S-Sota! Oh my goodness!” She ran up to her little brother and kneeled to his level, “Sota, WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO YOUR EYE?!”
