“Kagome-chan!” Sango was still calling to her. Then she appeared. Kagome walked out of the cave with a bow and arrow. She ran and wrapped her arms around her best friend and sister.
“Sango-chan.” Kagome whispered. “I remember, I remember everything...”
“Mama...” Kagome whispered. But her thoughts also went back to Natsumi and the bond that resembled that of her and her mother. Kagome smiled sadly. She took to Natsumi for a reason, the miko was probably the incarnate of her future mother. She smiled with the thoughts of her Family. ‘I wonder how they are.’ She thought. Kagome heard the whimpers of Daiki and lifted the still sleeping child in her arms. She looked down on him and a tear slid from her eye. She didn’t regret her memory loss as she held the hanyou close.
“Ma... mama.” Daiki warm breath resonated on her chest. Kagome gasped and pulled him away to look at his sleepy face.
The boy smiled up and reached his chubby arms out to his Mother. “Mama, Mama!”
Kagome laughed and cried and hugged Daiki close. “Oh Daiki, thank you.” Kagome didn’t have anything to fear. Daiki has made her realize that. He was her present and her future. No matter what.
“Sesshoumaru, what will you do?” Inuyasha began. “If Kagome doesn’t choose either of us.”
The question didn’t shock Sesshoumaru, he had thought of it too.
“I know if that happened I will stay by her side like she has done with me.” Inuyasha answered himself.
Sesshoumaru wore a ghost of a smile. ‘As will I, Brother.’ He thought to himself.
“War, we are going to war for the Shikon no Tama.” Sayuri sighed to herself. “Kagome-sama has found her purpose and she knows what she must do.” Sayuri settled herself for sleep. “Please let her win.”
Sayuri thought of Kagome’s words to her, she has told no one except the little bird.
“Sayuri, Ichiro has changed.” Kagome said to her. “I don’t know how I know, but we won’t be able to fight this battle alone.” Sayuri smiled at Kagome’s wisdom. “Call our allies, both human and youkai. I don’t know how to rid the earth of the shikon no tama but we will expel the evil that seeks it’s power.”
“Kagome-sama, you are so wise.” Sayuri said to the wind.
Yes tomorrow will be the day. The day we go to war.
“Sesshoumaru, we are coming to my friends village. I need to let them know that Kagome is okay.” Inuyasha said as the brothers ran side by side. The last couple of days had been enlightening for the two. They got to know each other even if it was Inuyasha that did most of the talking. Sesshoumaru learned that Inuyasha was brash and rude but also, giving and courageous.
“And if the Kitsune has reached the miko first he will take her there.” Sesshoumaru said.
Inuyasha twitched his ears at the thought. “I hope.” He responded quietly. “Sesshoumaru, brother to brother I ask that you back down from Kagome.” Inuyasha had learned that Sesshoumaru only responded to civil behavior and polite conversation.
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow slightly then looked away. “Kagome needs us both now. I have no doubt that Naraku or another enemy is now after the miko. I will protect her with my life as I know you will with yours.” Sesshoumaru turned back to his brother with a strangely determined look. “Inuyasha, I will not step down. And when I claim her you will die by my hand.” With that Sesshoumaru continued on his way.
Inuyasha sighed. ‘No, Brother you will be the one who will die.’
“Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru.” Kagome smiled. “You’re finally here.”
“You were waiting for us?” Sesshoumaru asked.
“I knew you would come.” Kagome felt a tear slide down her cheek. “I have to tell you something.”
“What is it Kagome?” Inuyasha asked hopefully.
“SIT!” Kagome yelled. Inuyasha’s eyes grew wide as he went face first into the ground. Sesshoumaru turned from Kagome distracted enough to find beads matching Inuyasha”s around his neck. “ LAY!” Kagome growled and Sesshoumaru found himself lying next to his brother.
“Where do you get off trying to kill each other over me!” Kagome turned and walked away.
Inuyasha coughed and looked up in shock. He got up first because he was used to the years of commands, Sesshoumaru was in shock and reached for the beads only to be stopped by a magic barrier. Inuyasha laughed.
“If it was that easy, you think I would still have these things on.” Inuyasha smiled. “I think something happened, she remembers.” Inuyasha looked in the direction of the village, “and if she remembers then I win!” And Inuyasha bounded after Kagome. Sesshoumaru stood and brushed himself off. He might have to work harder to have the miko now. But first, he must remove the beads. He followed Inuyasha and Kagome to the village.
Inuyasha was shocked at what he saw, the village was so full of life, armies were everywhere. Kagome knelt next to a boy wearing pig youkai armor and she pointed to Inuyasha. The boy laughed at whatever remark Kagome made and she continued walking. Inuyasha’s senses were in overdrive, sounds and smells were all around him. There were thousands of soldiers piling out the gates of the village. Human and youkai alike. Inuyasha’s shoulder suddenly had weight on it and he looked over to see Sayuri perched boldly on him.
“Hello, hanyou.” Sayuri chirped. “Kagome-sama said you would be coming.”
“The name’s Inuyasha, squirt.” Inuyasha growled. “What’s going on here.”
“Well if you were with Kagome-sama like you should have been you would know, wouldn’t you.” Sayuri glared at the hanyou. “This is the battle for Japan’s most precious treasure. And when we win the treasure will be split into pieces and placed in the protection of Kagome’s most trusted allies.”
“The Shikon no Tama?” Inuyasha gasped. “Kagome is going to break it again?”
“I don’t know the details, but Kagome-sama has a plan and she hasn’t failed us yet.” Sayuri flew ahead to perch herself onto Kagome.
Inuyasha stopped and thought for a moment. Then a familiar voice spoke behind him.
“Well, if it isn’t dog breath.” The rugged voice laughed. Inuyasha didn’t have to turn to know who it was.
“What are you doing here you mangy wolf?” Inuyasha growled without turning. Kouga, leader of the wolf demon tribe laughed.
“I’m here because, two little girls came to my domain to tell me that Kagome was alive and she wanted to see me.” Kouga explained.
Inuyasha turned to face the wolf. He was different, scarred, bigger. He wore different armor now and his legs seemed to be damaged in different places. The wolf limped closer to the hanyou and patted his shoulder.
“I thought you were dead.” Inuyasha said softly.
“Ha, you wish. I’m stronger then that mutt. Kouga seemed to grow sad then. “Came close though, but I survived. Just like Kagome.”
“Yeah,” Inuyasha looked over at the miko of his heart. Sesshoumaru was talking to her
and she was laughing happily. “She will always survive.” Kouga watched as Inuyasha walked away and joined the miko and youkai. He watched as the brothers exchanged words and Kagome laugh. They seemed so happy and the wolf prince hoped it would last. He knew what was about to happen, and even if he couldn’t fight he would do as Kagome asked, always. Kouga was surprised to see two magical children at the entrance of his den just days before.
“Kouga of the wolf demon tribe.” The drab of the two spoke in a soft voice. “Your presence is requested by our Master.”
Kouga had became one the elders overlooking all affairs of the tribes, but he was restless, the young prince longed for excitement and the thrill of the battle. But he knew that his fighting days were over.
“Who is your master? Surely he knows the condition that I’m in. I will dispatch another wolf in my place.” Kouga frowned.
“That wouldn’t do.” The brighter and happier of the two smiled. “Kagome-sama sent for you particularly.”
“K-Kagome?” Kouga gasped. “She’s alive?”
“Was she not supposed to be?” The drab one asked.
“She died, five years ago.” Kouga took in a deep breath and was met with the scent he nearly forgotten, although it was wilder it was no mistaking the scent of his Kagome.
“She lives, Kouga-sama and she requests your presence.” The colorful girl smiled.
Kouga stood on wobbled legs. “Take me to her now.”
Kouga sighed at the memory and thought of that very morning, reaching his goal. He remembered breathing her in and just holding her for a long moment.
Kagome smiled against his chest. “Kouga-kun, it’s been so long. Your smell hasn’t changed at all.”
“And yours is the same too.” Kouga stood back and grinned wide. “But you are different.”
“Yeah, five years is a long time and people change.” Kagome smile was soft and inviting. “How have you been?”
“I am the elder of my tribe, I took a mate but she died before she could bear my pups.” Kouga said sadly.
“Oh, Kouga.” Kagome felt her tears come again. “I wish I could have met her.”
Kouga smiled again. “She would have loved you.” Kouga grew serious. “Five years, why haven’t you tried to contact anyone?”
Kagome lowered her head. “My memories have only just returned. I have been a traveling miko with no memories. Before Naraku died, he put a curse on me, I just now overcame it.” Kagome looked into Kouga’s eyes. “And now, I think he’s back. That’s why I called you here.”
Kouga looked away for a moment, “I don’t know how I can help. My legs are worthless.”
Kagome smiled slightly. “They won’t be for long.”
Kouga remembered that morning and smiled. He still cared for Kagome and wanted her to be happy. She told him that she loved Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru and was torn. Kouga promised to support her in any decision she made. Kagome thanked him and was grateful to have a friend like him. Kouga watched as Kagome looked at the two brothers with love in her eyes and he wished her luck and he wished that he could still convince her to run away with him, although that was highly unlikely.
Sachiko was having the time of her life. Every since she joined up with Kagome and Daiki, her life had became more exciting. She learned so much from the older miko and knew she would learn so much more. Since the armies arrived, Sachiko did as Kagome told her and served the soldiers. She wasn’t sure about everything that has been going on but she was sure Kagome would inform her when she deemed it necessary. Sachiko let her mind wander to different aspects of her journey thus far. Just then a low growl caught her ears and she stopped. Instinctively she reached behind her back only to find that she completely forgot her bow and arrows at the village.
‘Kuso!’ She cursed herself. ‘Kagome-sama would be angry if she knew.’ Sachiko could feel the slight tingle of demonic aura in the back of her mind. Sachiko hated that her miko senses were not as good as Kagome’s who could sense where the tiniest demonic aura was coming from. Sachiko had to rely on her other senses and intently listened to the growl that now grew louder. ‘Don’t run, don’t run, don’t run.’ Sachiko chanted. Kagome told her only to fun when things got rough but never to run from a growl. You never know what the sound came from and running was dangerous.
Slowly the young miko backed away, she wouldn’t turn her back to the sound. She moved as if she wasn’t moving at all and it was killing her inside. Sachiko had to be careful of every twig, every dead leaf.
“Don’t Run.” The voice was dark and heightened Sachiko’s fear.
“I know ou are youkai, and a powerful one.” Sachiko said with a trembling voice. “You have no need for me, a lowly miko.”
The youkai stepped from the foliage with blood in his eyes. Sachiko was awed by his beauty. He was tall and lean with tanned skin and lovely emerald eyes. His shoulder length copper hair was tied back high on his head. He glared at the young maiden and smirked sinisterly. He reminded her of someone but couldn’t put her finger on it.
“Don’t sell yourself short, onna.” The youkai sneered. “You could be of great use.”
With every step the youkai took forward Sachiko backed away. The youkai frowned and leapt forward, pinning the young girl against a tree. Sachiko reached up to hit the youkai with a desperate purifying attack but the youkai was to quick and pinned her arms over her head. Sachiko clutched her eyes shut and tried to get away. The red head youkai laughed and kiss her hard. And the miko shot her eyes open in shock. Sachiko shook her head and the youkai wrapped his large hand around her small neck. She choked as the youkai continued to cut off her air supply and attack her mouth. He took her gasps as opportunity to ram his tongue into her mouth. She vomited slightly and the youkai backed away in disgust. Sachiko stared the youkai down in defiance but was humbled as he slapped her to the ground. Sachiko whimpered as she held her bloodied cheek. The youkai stood over her and Sachiko almost growled.
“I like that.” Her tormentor smiled and he straddled her waist. Sachiko’s aura flared and burned the youkai slightly as he ran his claws down her chest, Sachiko could feel her clothing tear. Then her skin. Then she closed her eyes and cried when she felt the cold air upon her breasts.
Kagome was in the village when she felt Sachiko’s aura flare. Then she felt a familiar youkai very close to her protégé. Kagome smiled and shrugged it off. The older miko had no idea of the fate the was befalling two friends at that moment.
The youkai laughed as Sachiko cried harder. The youkai snatched off her red hakama and pulled off his own. Sachiko saw the engorged erection and fought harder. She screamed and fought harder with made the youkai much more aroused. The youkai showed no mercy as he filled her up. The smell of blood was sickening as the youkai mercilessly pounded into her without giving her the opportunity to adjust to the pain. Her virginity was snatched from her by this cold hearted demon.
“Shippou, help me.” Sachiko whimpered in choked sobs as the youkai continued his assault. The youkai heard her speak but was lost in the daze of his own satisfation. Her words became clearer as he played them over and over again and his paced slowed. Just as he eyes shot open with relazation he spilled his seed deep into her womb. He ramained still and stared into her eyes full of hate. Then suddenly he scrambled off her like she burned him. Sachiko shot up and stared and the now terrified youkai. Her own eyes widened as the youkai changed shape into the one she called for.
“Shi-Shippou-kun?” Sachiko could barely speak. Shippou had tears in his eyes and he moved to touch her, only to be taken back by her scream.
Just then Inuyasha and Kagome came crashing through the trees. “I knew I smell blood!” Inuyasha growled.
Kagome ran to Sachiko’s side then looked over in disbelief at the kitsune she called son. “Shippou, what have you done?”
Shippou heard the hurt in his mother’s voice and couldn’t speak. He turned and ran. Inuyasha stood to go after him only to be stopped by Kagome’s hand.
“No, Inuyasha let him go.” Kagome said through a trembling voice. “He wasn’t in control, he needs to be alone.”
“Keh, the runt hurt her, he should be taught a lesson.” Inuyasha growled.
“And he knows that,” Sachiko’s voice startled them. “He wanted to stop, I know he did.”
“Come on, Sachiko-chan. Let’s go get up cleaned up.’ Kagome helped the girl up and made her way back to the village.
“Kagome-sama, he was so different. What happened to him?” Sachiko asked as she held her clothing close to her naked body.
“Sachiko-chan,” Kagome began. “Shippou may seem young but he is almost fifty years old.” Kagome seemed lost in thought. “He wanted to take a mate, but he could not. I just hope we made it in time.”
“What do you mean, Kagome-sama?” Sachiko trembled assuming the worse.
Kagome put on a fake smile. “Nothing, don’t worry.”
“She means that if he released within you, he will be back to claim you.” Inuyasha answered.
“Inuyasha, SIT!” Kagome yelled angrily.
“Kagome-sama?” Sachiko whimpered.
“It’s true, I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright, Shippou-kun is a good youkai. He didn’t hurt me on purpose.”
“I know, Sachiko-chan, I know.”
The night seemed to come quicker than usual and Kagome stroked Sachiko’s hair till she slept. Kagome heard the flap of the hut open and sensed the presence of the hanyou.
“Ssh, she has finally went to sleep.” Kagome stood slowly. “We were to late.” She continued sadly.
“Yeah, I know.” Inuyasha sighed.
“I offered her medicines to be safe, but she refused.”
“She’s smart, if the girl was to kill what could be growing within her...” Inuyasha trailed off. “Shippou would probably do something else he would regret.”
“I know Inuyasha, Shippou is a kitsune, after they are extremely protective of their young.”
“So are inu.” Inuyasha knelt besides Kagome. “I would always protect you and our family. If you would have me, Kagome.”
Before Kagome could answer Inuyasha took her mouth with his. The kiss was full of love and devotion, more than she has ever experienced. Slowly he pulled away.
“Kagome...” The silver haired inu sighed. He ran a clawed hand under her haori. She trembled with anticipation. With agonizing slow moments her slid the clothing from her creamy shoulders. He leaned back and admired his work. He gave her a charming smile and took the miko’s breath away.
“Please.” She whispered softly. “I want this.” She leaned in and kissed his lips softly, leaving a trail of fire wherever her lips touched. He growled softly with pleasure. Here she was with him, and he couldn’t be happier.
At those very words a giant explosion rocked the small hut, startling the couple and jarring Sachiko from her slumber. Sesshoumaru came into the hut and looked over the scene before him. Kagome topless with Inuyasha in front of her.
“We have things to discuss at a later time. After we dispatch the enemies that has attack the village.”

Memories. Of the past. Of the future. They passed by so quickly, not just any observer would be able to tell where one started and the other ended. But she knew. She knew every face. She knew every experience. And knew who she was. She was the purist soul of them all. She was the soul of love...“I HAVE SEEN WAR

Kagome laid awake in the guest hut while Sachiko and Daiki slept. She had spent most of the day crying and keeping mostly to herself. Shippou and the others wanted to console her but she insisted to be left alone with her thoughts. She could remember the faces of her past and the faces of those who helped her through the difficult period of regaining her strength.“Mama...” Kagome whispered. Kagome laughed and cried and hugged Daiki close. “Oh Daiki, thank you.” Kagome didn’t have anything to fear. Daiki has made her realize that. He was her present and her future. No matter what.

Sesshoumaru looked over to the ever alert Inuyasha and frowned. There will be a time when Kagome will choose. And either the great youkai lord or his hanyou half brother will have to stand down.“Sesshoumaru, what will you do?” Inuyasha began.

Sayuri flew ahead and reached a tall tree overlooking the land. The armies had stopped for the humans and would reached Kagome in the morning. Sayuri ruffled her feathers in anticipation.“War, we are going to war for the Shikon no Tama.” Sayuri sighed to herself. “Kagome-sama has found her purpose and she knows what she must do.” Sayuri settled herself for sleep. “Please let her win.”

Inuyasha knew the area they were in, Miroku and Sango’s village was just up ahead. It was no way they would stop.“Sesshoumaru, we are coming to my friends village. Mrs. Higurashi hummed softly to herself as she swept the outside of the well house. Five years ago her daughter waved to her from the entrance of the small shrine and she never saw her again. Souta was older now and in the grade Kagome was in when she first went through the well. Mrs. Higurashi smiled slightly as she thought of Kagome’s life. She always tried to keep a positive outlook on her daughter’s disappearance. She believed Kagome was happy. She and Inuyasha defeated Naraku and as a result the well closed, her task complete. She believed that Kagome had a family and a home somewhere in the past. Mrs. Higurashi reached for the door carelessly and stopped. She could feel something crawling up her spine, then suddenly the doors flew open and she was knocked back. Mrs. Higurashi could feel a breeze coming from inside the shrine and a slight tingle of magic...the well was open.******
Kagome felt them before she saw them. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha smelled her before they saw her. A moment later they were face to face with each other.“Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru.” Kagome smiled. “You’re finally here.”

Shippou was pacing in his true form. The kit was much older than he let on and he was frustrated. He wanted to see Rin, and see her smile and touch her creamy skin. He let out a hormonal growl and leapt into some thick trees. Inuyasha was back but he was to busy with Kagome to fight him. Inuyasha always helped the kitsune rid himself of stress with a friendly match. Shippou growled to himself as he closed his eyes and tried to calm down.Sachiko was having the time of her life.
