The Heat
 
It's been hot recently.
The mercury's rising and with it my temperature.
Could it be the heat from the warm blood coursing through my body?
As I wipe the sweat from my brow I wish I could lean against you to share my intensity with you, but I can't find you.
The sun stings my back with the elegant but deadly rays.
The shade just pinpoints areas that are heat sensitive.
I need you to help me cool off, where are you?
Oh man! I can't take it how can I get relief from this heat it's so uncomfortable.
Help me my blood is boiling not even the coldest glass of water can alleviate the constant drying in my mouth.
This heat is too much.
I'll just go inside to cool off.
The AC isn't helping! Its only temporary relief.
Maybe I'll turn on the fan oh man it's just whipping the hot air around!
Help! I feel faint with out you I can't survive these temperatures by myself.
The touch of your hand pulls me out of my heat stroke.
The moistness is giving me some type of liberation like rain on a hot car.
Oh this feels good!
I haven't felt like this since my first rain storm with you standing beside me.
How does it feel to you?
The sweat that's on my body mixes with the rain is an intoxicating smell.
Wow I've been in storms I could handle on my own but the feeling of you next to me I don't have to face the heat anymore, I'm no longer alone.
So this is what it feels like to dance in the rain…what a feeling.
Are you cooling down too?
The heat isn't bothering me anymore now oh you're just as cold as I am now
