Writing a summery can be one of the hardest parts of telling the story. Shame on me fore I have no summery. I do, however, have a small snippet from the story…’ her sons fate had been sign, sealed and delivered even before he was born. There were no if and or buts about it. "Your son will be our dear and unfortunate successors, he will be the holder of the document" the three children before her spoke. She closed her eyes and cried. She wished this fate on no one she knew, yet her son had been bestowed this awful fate. Opening up her weary golden orbs, she was meeting by emptiness of the area. Standing quickly she rushed off to her mates library. He was the father and had a right to know what his son had gotten into even before he was born.

Chapter 3: Say Goodbye…inspired by the theory of a dead man's song ' Say Goodbye’
________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ __________
She said, "Don't leave this up to me to say that I don't love you anyway"
Just leave it up to me to say goodbye

Kagome's hands were shaking as she held the 4-page letter in her hands. Her brother stood behind shaking with an unknown rage as his silverish blue eyes scanned the sheet of paper his sister was holding. They could not believe what they were reading. Why did this have to happen? Of all the things to go wrong, why this?

Because these good times will never last
Keep a handle on the wheel and a foot on the gas
We thought it would last forever
I wish you would just remember

There mother was not there mother. There mother was unknown to the world. They were confused. Was she lying? Was this another one of thier mothers scams to get out of dodge or something? Was she shitting them? They had no clue. Kagome cried while Souta rubbed her back thinking. They had to do something or else face being homeless. Or else face being alone.

Times were not getting any better in the future with the number of deaths on the rise. Hate crimes and war was rising as well. Life was not peaceful anywhere any more. The richest neighborhoods in Japan were starting to look run down as the economy boom came to a stand still. The rush of life was becoming more and more sluggish as each day passed on.

The times they spent together in the past having fun with each other and when thier mother wasn't lying to the cops or on the run was over. They both had to grow up at a young age and face the facts. They were not rich. In fact they were very close to being poor. They had to face the fact that death was very much real. They had to face the facts of the fact. There mother was not a very good person.

No
Will anything change your mind?
(She said)
A one way ticket was a pretty good sign
(And I said)
Well how can you leave it all?
(And she said)
There ain't much to leave behind
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye
So say goodbye
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye

She left them. Not one penny left in the jar of change. Not one check or credit card in her purse or left on the kitchen table. All she left them was a damn four page letter and a fucking poem. A bloody poem, what were they sapost to do with this? They were both thinking the same thoughts.

'Damn her...damn her to hell’

Next time I'll take it slow
And as for you I'll never know
At least next time I'll try to understand
So please don't leave this up to me to say that you don't love me anyway

It was pathetic that this was the way she was saying sorry. This was the way she was gonna tell them goodbye and best wishes. What in the hell was she thinking?

I'll just leave it up to you to say goodbye
Cuz these good times will never last
Keep a handle on the wheel and a foot on the gas
We thought it would last forever
In case you don't remember

They thought things were getting better. Sure, with Kagome, coming back in fourth threw time trying to attend collage and with Souta trying to finish up high school they really hadn't had enough time to spend baby sitting thier grown ass mother. She was the mother. Not them. How in the hell were they sapost to know when something was wrong if she didn't speak?

"You know...everything was just going to damn good. We should have seen this coming" Kagome finally spoke folding the papers in her hand

"Yeah...we should have" Souta voiced

No
Will anything change your mind?
(She said)
A one way ticket was a pretty good sign
(And I said)
Well how can you leave it all?
(And she said)
There ain't much to leave behind
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye
So say goodbye
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye

Just say goodbye
Just say goodbye
Just say goodbye

"Come on Souta...there is nothing left here for us. Were gonna have to start over...in the past" Kagome mumbled standing up from the kitchen table.

Souta nodded his head as he moved out of the way for his sister to get by. He watched her walk up the stares before he finally sat down at the table for a minute. How was he sapost to live in the past? He had some many things here that needed to be taken care off. His gang. His girlfriend. School. His job. The list goes on and on. He knew if there was some kind of money left over that he could have stayed here on his own for a while before he sold the place off an moved in with his girlfriend or something. Well truth of the matter was that he as gonna dump her anyway so that was off his list of reasons to stay. With a sigh, he stood from the little white table and shoved the white painted wood chair up under it. He had some stuff to do before he left.

Well, these good times will never last
Keep a handle on the wheel and your foot on the gas
We thought it would last forever
In case you can't remember

Kagome stood in her room looking at a picture she had taken when she was 15. The day when she fell down the well. The day that changed her life. When she returned from her first venture back, she learned that her grandfather died the same night from a massive stroke. She never cried that much that night. When he died that’s when all the bills started coming. Her mother started smoking and staying out late soon not even coming home days at a time. Kagome didn't know what to do at this time. She stayed at her home more and more instead of going to the past to fight. Because of this naraku was able to get more of the jewel. Kagome was being pulled and stretched out in more direction than she knew possible.

Kagome heard the kitchen door slam and sighed as she imagined her little brother walking out of the house down the street and around the block to his warehouse. She knew he was gonna come back home hurt. She knew he was a gang leader. His gang wasn't big or anything, but it was large enough to have the cops look out for them and question him and his members every time something bad happen in the city. No matter where it was or what it was. In the years Kagome traveled threw the well she watched her brother grow up and mature into the 18 that was probably in the warehouse right now fighting to keep his gang under control as he told them the news.

Seconds turned into minutes as minutes turned into hours. Finally, there was a slam of the back door. The moon light shone into the windows as it open and closed. Kagome's head popped up to the side looking at her brother. His white muscle shirt had some blood spots, but from the angle they were at, she knew that the blood wasn't his. She looked at his face and held back a gasp. Little cuts here and there and a busted lip. His eye was starting to get the faintest hints of a purple and black outline. nothing to bad, but still he was hurt.

"let’s go Kagome," he said not looking at her

"what happen" she asked stubbornly

"when they heard I gave my leadership over to Saskura all hell broke lose...I need to pack" Souta said trying to pass his sis to get to the stairs

"no need everything you'll need is in here," Kagome said holding up a big black duffle bag

"even cd's and my other...erm stuff" Souta said, Kagome nearly laughed

"I’ve told you to quiet this stuff but seeing how it’s not as bad as cigs and your 18...I packed it," Kagome said tossing him the bag

"yeah but I bet you didn't get the other stuff…I'll be back...you can go to the well" Souta said, Kagome didn't say a thing but nodded her head.

Picking up her own black duffle bag and her silver tote, she walked to the back door and out of the house. Souta jogged up the stairs around the corner to his room at the end of the hall on the left. Walking into his room, he kicked a bunch of his clothing to the side and got down on hands and knees. Moving over to his bed he got down flat on his stomach an unlocked a lock from under the bed. Standing up he lifted his mattress an got out a blue and green bottom vase huka and a outfit. He grinned at both.

(Le gasp...souta is a stoner...yay to the fellow stoners...umm erm hehe…you did not read this part...poof and the author goes away)

" thank god your not broken...I have a feeling I'm gonna be using you more back there than here" Souta muttered bringing another duffle bag out of his closet that was half way filled with...some stuff.

(children under the age of 13 should not know about this so you might not want to read some of the chapters...they will be marked)

Walking over to his dresser he pulled four books off the top and stuffed them into the other duffle bag filled with clothing. Looking around one more time to make sure he had gotten everything souta turned off the light an walked to the well house.

Kagome waited for her brother. The letter crumbled in her hand. She was tempted to throw it away, but didn't for some unknown reason. It was as if the letters wanted her to keep them. Hold them. She hated it. She hated her mother for doing this and she hated what she was gonna have to make her brother go threw.

Just say goodbye

"are you ready?" a voice whispered from behind

So say goodbye

"yes Souta I'm ready," Kagome, said lifting the duffle bag

Say goodbye

"I wish there was another way," Souta said walking to stand next to his sister

So say goodbye

"I wish there was too bro " Kagome said choking on a tear

Just say goodbye

"what have to go" Souta said looking into the depths of the well

"hai…take my hand," Kagome said, Souta slung on of the duffle bags on his back. taking her hand they didn't wait, they jumped.

So say goodbye

The bluish white sea of space and time glowed like it always had whenever Kagome jumped into the well. Her mind was reeling at the relief she felt for the well working and not stalling like it did before. In a flash, they were both back in the past. At the bottom of the well they stood. At the bottom of the well, they grasped the vines and started to climb. Once out of the well they stood there looking down its depths for one last time.

Say goodbye

" good bye....home" Kagome said turning away from the bone eaters well with Souta walking next to her she made her way back to the village of Edo. Thier new home.
