“How evil! That demon killed Princess Setsuyo's father! Inuyasha surely wouldn't have stood for that. He would get vengeance for Setsuyo.” One of the children said. One of the little girls held her doll close to her. “Hakuoh is a very mean demon. I hope he goes away soon.” She said. Kaede nodded to the children. “Indeed he will. Now as the story goes on, Setsuyo was heart broken by her father's death. She didn't even remember that Inuyasha was still holding her hostage. That was certainly a mistake.”

::: A mistake that cost Setsuyo far too much. Her father's death was only the beginning of the losses. :::

He held her as she sobbed him his arms. The princess' heart had shattered at the loss of her beloved father and his army. So many women would surely feel the pain of losing their husbands and fathers of their children. Hakuoh would surely pay for taking the life of her father. She knew that Aoki would definitely attempt to gain vengeance but he was human and Hakuoh had power beyond any human's reach. Setsuyo didn't want to lose another person she cared for, especially the life of her future husband. While she hugged Aoki, Inuyasha watched with sheer jealousy. This weak human was to wed the human that he cared for too deeply to release. He hated the sight of her in his arms, crying softly. He wanted to comfort her, to hold her in his arms and whisper reassuring words to soothe away the pain that had swallowed her heart. Watching Setsuyo in the arms of the prince made Inuyasha want to kill him in the worst way imaginable for putting his hands on her. Setsuyo would be his and he'd be damned if some decrepit human took her from him.
::: I won't let this go on any longer. This human will not take Setsuyo from me. Betrothed or not, Setsuyo will be mine at the end of it all. :::

Without warning, Inuyasha snatched Setsuyo away from Aoki and held onto her by the arm. “Setsuyo! Release my fiancé at once! She is a princess, woman of royal blood.” Aoki reminded. Setsuyo was just as surprised as Aoki was. She turned to Inuyasha and pleaded for him to let her go. “I'm not letting you go Setsuyo. If you remember, you are our prisoner. The woman is coming back with me. Kikyo isn't here so there's no reason for us to remain here any longer.” And with that, Inuyasha carried Setsuyo away. Aoki tried to follow but Inuyasha was too fast and he fled with Setsuyo. “Shit! I won't let him get away with my princess.”

Back in Sesshomaru's castle, Priestess Kikyo and her comrades had broken free of Kagura's whirlwind. Using her sacred arrow, Kikyo had aimed it at Kagura but missed. Now that they were free, they would be able to attack freely. “Damn you priestess! Prepare to die!” Kagura released another whirlwind at Kikyo, knocking her out of a window. “Don't die yet priestess! I'm not done yet!” Kagura yelled from above. She jumped from the window and walked toward Kikyo, her fan in hand and ready for another attack. And before she could release it, the villagers from above released their arrows at Kagura. “Damnit! Your priestess will have the privilege of witnessing your demise!” Kagura said. She turned to them and released attack on the villagers, slaughtering them all. “Ha, burn in hell maggots. Now it's your turn priestess. Huh? Ahhh!!”

Kagura was too occupied notice that Kikyo had retrieved her bow and launched her arrow at Kagura. She was too stunned to evade the attack, therefore taking the arrows directly to the heart. “That was for my companions. I have to return to the village before Sesshomaru or Hakuoh get there.” Kikyo muttered to herself. Wasting little time, she hurried back to her village. As she was returning, she saw Hakuoh and Sesshomaru battling. Sneaking past them silently, Kikyo continued on her way to her village. Just as she was at the exit of the forest, a pair of hands grabbed her. “Where are you going so fast priestess?” It was Hiten who asked the question. Though she struggled, Kikyo could not escape Hiten's grasp and was carried off to her village.

Back in the meadow, Inuyasha had stopped when they noticed that they had lost Aoki. “We lost him.”

“No! We can't lose him. Inuyasha you have to go back.”

Inuyasha settled Setsuyo down on the ground and pulled her around to face him. “You don't get it do you? You are our prisoner. I will not lose you to the enemy. You belong to me.” He whispered. Setsuyo struggled free of Inuyasha's grip and began to run in the direction of Kikyo's village but she didn't get far. Inuyasha had tackled her to the ground, pinned her and kissed her to keep her from screaming. As the seconds past, Setsuyo felt Inuyasha's kiss lightening. It became tender, sweet, a kiss between lovers. She grabbed onto his shoulders and returned his kiss with gentle kisses of her own. “Setsuyo…”

“Inuyasha…”

The two called out each other's names between kisses until Inuyasha broke it and moved his kissed to her neck. “So beautiful…so gentle, my beautiful princess Setsuyo.” He murmured against her neck. Inuyasha gave Setsuyo's neck one last kiss then sat up, gazing down at the lovely princess. She sat up as well, blown away by the events that just took place. “Inuyasha I-”

“Shh, we have to go now.”

Setsuyo nodded and got to her feet, preparing to return to the forbidden forest. The two hand both forgotten that they were opposing sides and knew only one thing, they wanted each other. “Don't forget, you're my prisoner.” He reminded. Setsuyo nodded at him. “I swear as a princess I will never speak a word of this.” She swore. With that, she and Inuyasha returned to the forbidden forest. When they arrived in the castle, Sesshomaru announced to him both good and bad news. “We've lost Kagura to the priestess Kikyo but we have her now. Unfortunately, she didn't have the Sacred Jewel.” Sesshomaru told him. “What? The Sacred Jewel wasn't in the village shrine. All we found was her pathetic fiancé.”

“Then her fiancé will convince Kikyo to tell us what we want to know. Hiten, capture him.”

Hiten bowed his head to Sesshomaru and went to search for Aoki. After he left, Sesshomaru took Setsuyo to the room that had confined Kikyo. “Setsuyo? You're alive! How did you escape?” Kikyo asked as she received Setsuyo into her embrace. Setsuyo hugged Kikyo and explained the sneak attack on Kikyo village. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Kikyo held Setsuyo tightly, wishing that she still had her bow and arrows. If only she still had them, she'd be able to escape. Twenty minutes went by and Hiten came for the two women. He dragged them both to the center of the forest, there they discovered a battered Aoki. “Aoki! You bastard!!! Don't you hurt him!” Setsuyo screamed. Hiten looked at Setsuyo with a smile on his face. “Priestess, tell us where the Sacred Jewel shard is or this man will die right here. Come now priestess, you don't want the princess to witness her fiancé's death. Give him a chance to live and tell us.” Hiten said.

Setsuyo looked at Kikyo with pleading eyes. She knew she couldn't reveal the whereabouts of the Sacred Jewel but she couldn't just let Hiten murder her fiancé. “Kikyo please! Tell them where it is. Aoki will die if you don't. Priestess please, show him compassion. I lost my father to Hakuoh, I don't want to lose Aoki too. If Aoki dies I will have no one else…I'll be alone in the world. Kikyo tell them!!!” Setsuyo screamed. Kikyo looked at Setsuyo with solemn eyes then looked towards Hiten. “I will not.”

Setsuyo's heart stopped at the sound of Kikyo's decline. Sesshomaru turned his sights to Hiten and nodded at him as a sign to execute the prince. Hiten smiled as he pushed the prince forward and stabbed him in the back with his staff. Tears rose to the eyes of the princess as she was forced to watch her lover be killed by the vile demon. “AOKI!!!!”

“Hey hey, don't blame us princess. Blame the priestess. If you think about it, she's the reason your beloved prince is dead. All she had to do was tell us where the Sacred Jewel was. Then you'd still have him…alive. It's a real kick in the ass isn't it?”

Setsuyo cried as she listened to Hiten mock her. She wanted to kill him. How could this priestess be so cruel? Even if she were to lie saying it was elsewhere, Aoki would still be alive. “Hiten, take the body and burn it then meet back with us at Kikyo's village. We're going to raze the entire population.” Sesshomaru said. Hiten grinned and picked up Aoki's body. “Don't worry about your little princess your highness. I'll take very good care of her.”

“Enough Hiten, take the body and toss it over the waterfall and dispose of it. Inuyasha, bring Kikyo and Setsuyo along.” Sesshomaru commanded. He left to return inside the castle while Hiten and Inuyasha left with their prisoners. As they walked, Setsuyo cried every step of the way, receiving harsh comments from Hiten as they walked further from the forest. When they arrived at the waterfall, Setsuyo peered down to estimate the height of the cliff. Unfortunately, the mist below clouded the area. “Easy there princess, it's quite high up. Not a lot of humans can survive a fall like that. Luckily, your fiancé is dead but don't worry. I'll spare you a few minutes to say good bye.” Hiten said. He dropped the body in front of Setsuyo and she immediately ran to her deceased prince's side. “Aoki…I never meant for this to happen to you. First father…now you. It shouldn't have been you who died. You were just trying to save me. You should have married me and had the family our fathers wanted for us. You were robbed of that dream Aoki. You're not the one who should be going over the cliff.” Setsuyo shot Hiten a nasty glare then rubbed her cheek against Aoki's. She kissed his cheek for the last time and walked towards Hiten, staring him in the eye. “I wish you to hell.”

“Heh, if I go I'll be following your prince.”

Setsuyo started to weep again and Inuyasha saw. He felt so bad for the princess but he couldn't sympathize for her now. He resisted the urge to take her into his arms and comfort her. It was Kikyo who took her into an embrace, whispering calming words. “He will pay dearly.” Kikyo promised. Setsuyo grabbed onto Kikyo's arm tightly and looked up into her brown eyes. “No…not as dearly as you will.”

“Setsuyo?”

“Die priestess Kikyo.”

Inuyasha and Hiten turned just in time to witness the heartbroken princess shove the priestess from the cliff and plunge toward her doom. “What the fuck? What did you do!?!?!? Damn bitch!” Driven with anger, Hiten slapped Setsuyo hard across the face. She would have gone over had Inuyasha not caught her. “Bastard! What did you do that for?!?!?! If you hit her again I'll tear you to pieces.” He threatened.

“Open you damned eyes Inuyasha! She just killed the priestess! Now how are we going to find the sacred jewel? Sesshomaru isn't going to be happy with this at all. Carry the bitch to the fort, Sesshomaru will deal with her.” Hiten said. Inuyasha followed behind Hiten while carrying the unconscious princess. Before he left, he took one final look down at the cliff. ::: There's no way that she could have survived that fall. :::

Lil Lovely Angel: That was unexpected. Setsuyo you're almost as bad as the demons that captured you. Cya all at chappie five!
