Lil Lovely Angel: So far we're progressing very well with this story. I'd like some reviews though. They are my motivation. Plz R&R, thank you. Now, on with the story.

 

 

 

 

“True love… Lady Kaede its so romantic!”

 

“What are you talking about Hanyo?! The princess was in love with a demon!! A demon and human can never be together!” One of the little boys said. He outburst caused little Hanyo to cry but Kaede soothed the child's tears away. “Lady Kaede. Setsuyo and Inuyasha are going to be together at the end of the story right?”

 

“Well you'll just have to listen little one. So Inuyasha agreed to the offer Naraku had to make. If Naraku held true to his word, he would be able to escape from Sesshomaru and become a full fledge human and marry his beloved princess.”

 

“Did Naraku keep his promise my lady?”

 

::: That is a good question… did he keep his word to Inuyasha? That I will never know. :::

 

Inuyasha rested with Setsuyo in his arms. It was a wonderful feeling to be in love and have the one he loved return his feelings. He could lay with the human beauty until the stars burned from the sky. “Darling?”

 

“Yes Setsuyo?”

 

“Its morning.”

 

Inuyasha nodded and got up from his bed. He dressed himself in his usual attire before leaving his room. He had to know what Sesshomaru was going to do for the day. “Do not leave this room, I'll be back soon.” Inuyasha said. Setsuyo lied down on the bed as she waited for her beloved's return. Little did Inuyasha know, Naraku had entered the room. “A very good morning to you princess Setsuyo.”

 

“What are you doing here? You shouldn't be alone with me! I command you to leave immediately.”

 

Naraku only chuckled as he walked closer to Setsuyo. When he reached her, he tilted her face up and smiled. “Did Inuyasha make love to you last night? Did you enjoy it?” Naraku teased. Setsuyo blushed fiercely as she remembered the passion Inuyasha had shared with her after they returned from the springs. He brought her to his room and made gentle love to her. He was tender and easy with her as he whispered his love and dreams of being with her forever. They had made love twice that night. “I…”

 

“There's nothing to hide. I know Inuyasha loves you and that you love him. Inuyasha is going to defy his brother find the Sacred Jewel shard so that he can become human.” Naraku told her. Setsuyo gasped and took hold of Naraku's hand. “If that's true then Inuyasha will die! Sesshomaru will kill him with ease and no mercy. I won't see the man I love slaughtered by his demon brother. Naraku please, there has got to be something I can do.” She begged him. Naraku saw the desperation in her eyes and snorted. “There is one thing. Using the power of the Sacred Jewel, you can become a full fledge demon. That way you and Inuyasha will surely be together.”

 

“I will! I don't care what it is that I have to do as long as Inuyasha and I can still be together.”

 

“So be it.”

 

With that being said, Naraku got up and left the room. ::: I know he is a demon but I have to trust someone. If he does decide to turn against us I will kill him. Inuyasha and I are going to be together. :::

 

“Setsuyo?”

 

Setsuyo's face produced a beautiful smile when she saw her beloved half demon come into the room. He smiled back to her and she came to him. “Setsuyo we're to find the Sacred Jewel. Get dressed, we have to move out.” Inuyasha said. Setsuyo put on her kimono and sandals then tired her hair into a high ponytail. When she had finished, Inuyasha took her by the arm and led her out of the castle. Once outside, he picked her up and carried her off to Kikyo's village. “Go Inuyasha, I should be fine since Kikyo is not alive anymore.” Setsuyo said. Inuyasha pulled her close from behind and gave her neck a tender kiss. “I'll be watching you. Hurry back with the Sacred Jewel.” He commanded. Setsuyo nodded and ran into the village. The people were rejoiced to see that the princess Setsuyo was alive and well. “Princess Setsuyo! Please, tell me where sister Kikyo is. Please tell me she's all right.” Kaede pleaded. Setsuyo sucked in air and was about to answer when a few men came into the village screaming something. She feared that they had spotted Inuyasha but it was much worse. They had announced that they found the Priestess Kikyo. Alive.

 

“Setsuyo isn't it great?! Kikyo is all right! They'll be bringing her home soon.” Kaede said cheerfully. Unfortunately, Setsuyo wasn't as content as Kaede was. She intended to kill her sister and didn't finish the job. Now she'd have to find a way to get the Sacred Jewel without being struck down by Kikyo and without the villagers knowing. So she waited with Kaede at the shrine. It was twenty minutes later with the sounds of children calling for `Lady Kikyo' outside. Kaede immediately ran to join them and fearfully, Setsuyo looked from the shrine. She waited there for a couple of minutes and then, heard the sounds of someone entering. It was Kikyo herself. “I see you're still alive.”

 

“Same to you priestess. You know I meant to kill you when I pushed you from the cliff.” Setsuyo clarified. “Yes, but one must wonder why.” Kikyo asked. Setsuyo stood up and looked into Kikyo's brown eyes. “It was your refusal to give the whereabouts of the Sacred Jewel that seal my fiancé's fate. You and I both watched as Hiten killed him. You could have saved him!” Setsuyo said coldly.

 

“Even with a false answer, in time Aoki would have died. He'd rather die then to watch his princess die. He would have gladly given his life for you.”

 

Setsuyo growled and struck Kikyo hard across the face. “Stop trying to cover up for what you did Kikyo! In the end it is your fault that Aoki is dead and I wanted revenge for it. I would gladly push you from a cliff again if it means that you will die in the process. You took him from me but I found another love. I found love with Inuyasha and he loves me too. I'm taking the Sacred Jewel and becoming a demon.”

 

Setsuyo turned to retrieve her locket, where she had stored the Jewel fragments but Kikyo stopped her. “I won't let you. If you try it then I will gladly send you to be with your beloved prince. Touch those shards just once.” Kikyo threatened. Setsuyo glared at the hand Kikyo had put on her. Before she could do anything, Kaede entered the shrine. “I'm glad that you're all right sister Kikyo. Now we can piece together the Sacred Jewel.”

 

“Yes, that would be best.”

 

Setsuyo left the shrine and started to walk to Kikyo's house. As she was walking, she contemplated a plan to steal the Sacred Jewel shards. Perhaps while Kikyo slept she would escape with the shards and return to Inuyasha with them. That way she would be able to get away without Kikyo ever knowing. When she entered Kikyo's house, Naraku was inside waiting. She snorted a welcome at him and he smiled deviously to her. “Seems to me that you have a problem on your hands, princess.”

 

“Apparently, I need your help Naraku. Kikyo could kill me with her sacred arrows.”

 

Naraku walked towards Setsuyo and took her hand. In it, he placed a pouch. “Inside this pouch is a seed. It will germinate inside Kikyo and kill her with its demonic energies.” Naraku told her. “Does she have to swallow it?”

 

“No. It's quite simple how to use it. It will absorb into her body upon contact. Anything that is not human cannot survive its curse.”

 

Setsuyo looked down at the seed then back at Naraku. “Are you certain?”

 

“I am precise. Do it tonight while she sleeps.”

 

With that, Naraku vanished, leaving Setsuyo alone with the pouch that contained the demonic seed. “If I kill her tonight, Inuyasha and I can be together. Naraku really is trying to help us.” She whispered. She smiled happily as she thought of a future with her beloved Inuyasha but unfortunately, she didn't know that Naraku was deceiving her. Naraku had returned to the castle with news of Kikyo's survival and that angered Sesshomaru. “She survived?!?! But how?! Hiten and I watched Setsuyo push her from the cliff!” Inuyasha exclaimed. Sesshomaru was just as disturbed by Naraku's announcement but he kept his cool. Kikyo would be eliminated one way or another. “Hiten, go to Kikyo's village and eliminate her.”

 

“With pleasure.”

 

After Hiten left, Inuyasha crept away from the castle to follow quietly in Hiten's trail. He had to get there before him in order to save Setsuyo from his wrath. He was more than sure that she wouldn't be spared from that she wouldn't be spared. Increasing his speed, he darted straight for Kikyo's village.

 

“All right, she's asleep now. I can do it now.” Setsuyo whispered to herself. She looked over at Kikyo to double check that she was asleep. When she realized that she was, she went outside of the house to the trees and dug up the seed Naraku had given her. She nodded to herself and walked back to the house. As she was walking, someone had grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming. She struggled to escape the hold but she was not able to break it. “Die well priestess.”

 

“Iron Rever Soul Stealer!”

 

Setsuyo quickly move to see that Inuyasha had attacked Hiten. She looked at him in confusion and he looked back with concern. “Did he hurt you?”

 

“No! Inuyasha what are you doing here?”

 

“Hiten was coming to kill Kikyo under the orders of my brother. Get the shards, we have to get out of here.”

 

Setsuyo obeyed Inuyasha and ran to the shrine to retrieve the Jewel shards. When she entered the shrine, Kikyo was there with her arrow ready to be released. “No! I made sure you were asleep.”

 

“Not a chance princess. With you trying to steal the shards there is no way I'd sleep. Get out of the shrine or I will kill you.” Kikyo threatened. The princess and the priestess locked eyes and didn't make a move. Suddenly, Setsuyo noticed a change in Kikyo's eyes. They had widened in fear or surprise. Before Setsuyo could realize anything, she had been knocked down by Inuyasha. Someone had thrown him into her. “That was far easier than I expected.” A voice said. The voice belonged to the demon Hakuoh. He had stepped in and smiled down at the priestess in triumph. “Care to join me at my castle priestess? I'm sure we have much to discuss.”

 

“Never!”

 

“I'm sorry but I refuse to take no for an answer.”

 

Hakuoh struck Kikyo across the face and she flew into the wall, hitting her head. Taking the unconscious priestess, Hakuoh left the village, leaving Setsuyo and Inuyasha together for the villagers to find but the villagers weren't the first to find them. Hiten stumbled over to Inuyasha with his staff in hand and eyes filled with rage. “So you'd betray your brother and comrades for this woman. Then the two of you can die together!” He screamed as he held his staff at the two lovers.
