“What do you plan we do princess?”

 

“I suggest we let Inuyasha take care of Hakuoh. We have worse problems heading our way priestess. They think that Hakuoh has the last shard and won't stop until they have it. Sesshomaru will never settle for anything less than perfect. As long as I have the shard implanted in my arm they'll never have it. We need to devise a plan. The dragon's tooth, do you have another?” Kikyo thought for a while and looked back inside the castle. “Perhaps I can find another one. Time is running out. Setsuyo you go inside the castle. Go up to the second floor and run all the way down, take a left and go down again then another left. You will find to gold and black doors at the end of the hall. Go inside and look around. Hakuoh has a pet dragon inside name Kojuro. Take the tooth from him and return here.”

 

Setsuyo took Kikyo's hand and shook her head quickly. “I can't! Priestess Kikyo you know the way and will be back quicker than I can.”

 

“No. The Sacred Jewel shard can amplify anyone's strength to their max. Use it to run as fast as you can. You can return here Setsuyo. Secondly, the dragon does not know you and he will want to fight you. Pull your strength and defeat him. Now go. I will stall off Sesshomaru and Naraku.” Kikyo explained. Setsuyo hugged Kikyo tightly. “I swear I'll come back alive Kikyo. I promise.” Setsuyo swore. Setsuyo let go of Kikyo and ran inside the castle in search of Hakuoh's dragon. Kikyo watched as the princess disappeared down the halls. She would have to hurry if she wanted to be rid of Sesshomaru and Naraku. Kikyo had no idea how long she could hold the two demons off but she had to try. “I won't let those two demons take the last shard.” She said as she walked forward to greet the two demons.

 

Inside the castle, Setsuyo took Kikyo's directions as she had given them. She was right. The power of the Sacred Jewel shard had amplified her speed and she moved stealthily throughout the castle. When she found the gold and black doors, she took in a deep breath and reached for it. Her hands shook at the thought of the beast that dwelled behind the doors but she had to enter for Kikyo and Inuyasha's sake. The two might perish if she didn't get the dragon's tooth. Shaking off her fears, Setsuyo pushed open the doors and entered the room. “Dragon!!! I know you are here so reveal yourself to me now!!” Setsuyo called. All that was heard who the echo of her voice and the closing of the doors behind her. “You are not Lord Hakuoh… what do you want girl?”

 

“I've come for one of your teeth Kojuro. Please give me one.”

 

A loud growl was heard and Kojuro sent his tail flying out at Setsuyo. She easily evaded it by jumping over it. “I wish not to fight you Kojuro. However, if you wish to perish like your master then let's go.” Setsuyo's challenge angered the dragon and he sent his tail at her again. Once more, she evaded him. When she landed on her feet, she drew her sword and pointed it at him.

 

Outside in the castle courtyard, Inuyasha and Hakuoh continued their battle. Inuyasha slashed at Hakuoh with his Tetsusaiga but Hakuoh dodged them. “Are you starting to fatigue Inuyasha?”

 

“Not a chance you bastard! I'm just getting warmed up! Wind Scar!!”

 

Inuyasha sent his Wind Scar attack surging at Hakuoh and he took the hit full force. Inuyasha smirked coolly as his opponent fell over on his back. “Had enough yet?”

 

“Ha! I won't be defeated so easily Inuyasha.”

 

Hakuoh's snapped his two fingers together and the wind blew. Inuyasha held tight onto his Tetsusaiga, ready for anything that came his way. “What the hell are you snapping for fingers for? I slaughtered the demons in the woods that were on patrol. You've got nobody else to save your sorry ass!” Inuyasha said. Just as Inuyasha was going to attack Hakuoh again, vines wrapped around his ankles and wrists. Inuyasha struggled and cursed but the vines held tight onto him. “Damnit! You bastard!”

 

“Shut your fucking mouth half breed. I'm going to enjoy this.”

 

Elsewhere, Kikyo ran ahead to attack Sesshomaru and Naraku. She waited in the bushes for the two demons to come and that's when she saw them. Sesshomaru and Naraku were running toward the castle. Kikyo quickly loaded an arrow into her bow and launched it at Sesshomaru and Naraku. When the two demons saw the arrow coming down at them, they split apart hid behind trees. “I'll take care of the priestess myself. Retrieve the shard. I don't care who you have to kill.”

 

“Including your brother?”

 

“We'll piss on his grave so the daisies can grow.”

 

Naraku grinned at Sesshomaru's joke and ran ahead. How stupid could Sesshomaru be? He had given him the Sacred Jewel shard for safe keeping. “It's a shame Sesshomaru.” Naraku said before he progressed any further. “You've dug your own grave by giving me the jewel shards. When I have them all… I'll lay you to rest inside.”

 

Back inside the castle, Setsuyo dodged the attacks coming from the dragon's tail. She flipped, jumped and rolled away from its tail to evade him. Finally she slipped up. The dragon tripped her as she was jumping over its tail. When Setsuyo hit the ground, she tried to get up but she wasn't quick enough. Kojuro wrapped his tail around her slender body and pulled her into the darkness with him. “I will eat you for attempting to slay me human! First you then that malicious master of mine for all the pain he has caused me.”

 

“If you want to kill Hakuoh then let me go. I swear to you Kojuro I will when your freedom.”

 

Kojuro squeezed Setsuyo tightly and she screamed out in pain. “Foolish woman! Don't you dare make promises you can't keep. I swear I will make you suffer for it.”

 

“No! I came here to defeat Hakuoh!! Believe me Kojuro. I can set you free of Hakuoh's grasp if you help me.”

 

Kojuro became angrier when Setsuyo promised to defeat Hakuoh. There was only one human Kojuro trusted but for years that person had been deceased. The thought of her smile and gentle voice weakened his heart. He released Setsuyo and began to cry. Setsuyo staggered to her feet and looked up at the beast. Why would he be cry? Coming closer to him, Setsuyo began to sing to the dragon. She hoped her voice would sooth away its pain and that it did. “That song… Lady Hinata sang that to me. How I miss her so…”

 

“Lady Hinata!! Hinata Atsurugi?”

 

The dragon lowered his head to Setsuyo and tried to open his eyes but they would not open. “How do you know of Hinata Atsurugi?” Kojuro asked. Setsuyo raised her hands to the dragon and began to tear. “Lady Atsurugi was my mother. She died a long time ago when I was eight. Kojuro how do you know her?” The princess asked. Kojuro turned away from Setsuyo and pushed a gem to her feet. “Take these… they will aid you in your battle against Hakuoh.” Kojuro said. Setsuyo looked down at the gem then back at Kojuro. “You did not answer my question dragon! How do you know my mother?!?!” Setsuyo demanded. Kojuro did not face Setsuyo but still he spoke to her a low voice. “Lady Hinata was the only woman that did not fear me. She was the only human I ever cared for. Princess… what happened to your mother?”

 

“Father told me that a demon attacked her and took her life.”

 

“Yes… and that demon was me. I killed your mother princess. Please find it in your heart to forgive me.”

 

Hakuoh smiled to himself as he triumphed over his enemy. He turned to Inuyasha and drove his claws into his flesh. Inuyasha clenched his teeth to prevent himself from screaming. “Aw come on Inuyasha. You don't have to hide it. It hurts doesn't it?” Hakuoh teased as he dug his claws deeper inside his wound. Inuyasha groaned in pain and blood leaked down the side of his mouth. “Inuyasha… if you beg for mercy I'll let you go.”

 

“Go to hell fucker.”

 

Inuyasha finished his sentence by spitting blood in Hakuoh face. Instead of be angered, Hakuoh licked the blood from the side of his mouth. “The blood of my enemy… how delicious. Let's see how much blood you have, filthy half breed.” Hakuoh dug his claws into Inuyasha once more and finally was reward with the screams of his enemy. A cool smile of satisfaction crossed his lips.

 

In front of the castle, Kikyo held her position hiding in the bushes and firing her arrows at Sesshomaru. He was catching up to her with each arrow he fired but she managed to evade him. “I am tired of these games priestess. You will die by my hand!” He said as he sliced down the vines. He searched for Kikyo but she was behind him, aiming her arrow at him. She released it then ducked again and crawled away from Sesshomaru quickly. “Show yourself cowardly bitch!”

 

“Here I am.”

 

Kikyo stood up and launched another arrow at him and missed once again. This time Sesshomaru saw Kikyo and darted at her. He caught her and grabbed her by the neck. “Enough priestess. This game of cat and mouse comes to its conclusion now.” Sesshomaru took his sword and ran the blade across the stomach. “Die well priestess.” He said. He took the sword and rammed it into her stomach and drew it out. He let the lifeless Kikyo sank to the ground and lay there dead. “She was too much of a nuisance. Now to find my brother and that bitch. I'll finish them off together.” He said as he moved forward.

 

Little did Sesshomaru know, when he had cut the vines in search of Kikyo, the vines that held Inuyasha bondage were cut. Inuyasha had felt the vines loss its grip on him and he took the chance. “Your flowers need watering.” Inuyasha said to Hakuoh. Hakuoh looked up and Inuyasha and receive a fist to his jaw. Hakuoh looked up at Inuyasha were fury in his eyes. How did he get free?

 

“I will kill you!!!” Hakuoh screamed at his opponent. His screams made the ground beneath him tremble and crack. Inuyasha cautiously avoided the cracks but and tried to fight off Hakuoh at the same time. Hakuoh used this to his advantage tripped Inuyasha as he was moving back, causing him to fall in. “Finally, you disgusting half breed.” Hakuoh said triumphantly. He walked away from the crack that held Inuyasha in search of Setsuyo. He was positive the princess couldn't have gotten far. Perhaps Kikyo finished her off. “Both of you bitches are more trouble than what you're worth.”

 

“So are you.”

 

Hakuoh's jaw dropped when he heard a voice from behind him. Before he could do anything, Inuyasha sprang out of the crack in the ground with a vine in hand. He flew at Hakuoh with top speed and wrapped the vine around his neck. Hakuoh choke on the vine and tried to hit Inuyasha away but he wasn't quick enough. The Tetsusaiga pierced his back and cut out of his lung. Wordlessly, Inuyasha shoved Hakuoh into the crack, letting him either fall to his death or hang from the vine. Either way it didn't matter to him. He had to find Setsuyo. Hopefully she wouldn't be in danger. The wound Hakuoh had given him was deep and blood was still flowing out. He couldn't let Setsuyo die. He picked himself up and began to walk towards the castle but he was intercepted by Naraku. “So it was her… your slut had the Sacred Jewel shard all this time. You planned to betray me from the beginning.” Naraku said. Inuyasha grinned at his comrade and pointed the Tetsusaiga at him. Naraku chuckled at Inuyasha and his sword. There would be no way he was going to defeat him. First he would obliterate the half breed then find the other jewel shard.

 

“Princess Setsuyo…”

 

“You… you monster to killed my mother! I could never forgive you!!”

 

An angry Setsuyo unsheathed her sword and charged at Kojuro but he wrapped his tail around her arms and held her tight. “Princess, listen to this story please. I want you to know what happened to your mother before she died. Please listen to me.” Kojuro begged. Setsuyo let her tears fall on the dragon's tail. “I shouldn't have to listen to a cold hearted murderer.” She wept. Kojuro tried to open his eyes but they refused to open. “Setsuyo… please listen to what I have to say.” Kojuro begged. Setsuyo dropped her head and nodded to him. “Very well. I met Lady Atsurugi when she was just a little girl…”
