Author's Note: Konnichiwa! I'm trying to get as much as I can get written before I go to Europe and I have to balance out my writing between work as well. I won't get anything written from like....uh.........July 5 to August the 5, so don't gripe me out if I don't write in between that time. And now enjoy the next chapter.

 

 

 

Chapter 2~New Beginnings~

 

Eleven Years Later and Fifty Tutors Later..........

Even though in human years they would be six-hundred and eleven years old, they appeared seventeen. Their bracelets allowed them to age like normal human girls instead of youkai pups. many jewelers had made offers to buy their intricate necklaces and were turned down.

Cody and Alana had tried to find Jessica's and Kate's parents but failed miserably. They adopted them because they could not bear any children of their own. The girls used dead languages to converse so their adoptive parents would not understand when they were talking about the worries of their old home.

At this time they were traveling to Japan with Cody and Alana with their new tutor, so the two could establish a business deal with a major company. Kate and Jessica were always praised for their good behavior and tasteful clothing. Cody and Alana would look on with pride as they slipped from the usual english to the language most used in that country to converse adequately with the business partners.

Jessica and Kate were in the study room with their new tutor when Kate began to get bored yet again. I'm bored, Kate said to Jessica with her newly found mental powers. Jessica smiled and focused on the tutor's pencil. she used her telekinesis to break the pencil.

"Damn! That was the seventh pencil this hour," exclaimed the tutor.

The tutor had used ink pens before but Jessica had put and end to that by making the ink spray out both ends. After the lesson ended they retreated to the family room on the plane.

"Had a nice lesson, I suppose," asked Cody as he red a newspaper.

Jessica and Kate nodded and settled into their favorite lazyboy chairs with books hiding their face.

"We're going to decend soon, you two remember the customs and no wandering off," Alana ordered as she straightened her business skirt and jacket. "There's a coffee shop near where we are having our meeting and a park right across from it, so you can eat then go take a walk."

They felt the plane decend. When they walked out they were greeted by a chauffer that led them to a limo. All of them were quiet on the way there since the tutor decided to stay on the private plane to relax. The limo stopped in front of an elaborate palace-styled establishment.

"We're late. C'mon Cody, we got to make this meeting, or else we'll suffer a loss. You two go and enjoy yourselves."

Alana rushed out of the car with Cody in tow. Jessica and Kate went straight to the coffee shop on the corner.

"Two cappucinos and a dozen donut holes, please," Jessica said in fluent japanese.

The cashier looked at her astounded then hurried to ring it up. They gave correct change then left for the park.

"Funny how they expect us to be stupid and not talk in their language," Kate told her friend.

"True, but they've only seen dumb tourists not Inu-youkai princesses in their midst even though they didn't know we were youkai," Jessica replied.

The trees from the park threw a dappled light on them and their necklaces. Their bracelets that protected them glowed unknowingly. the path from the park disappeared and the smells of a younger earth and youkai stifled the air.

"Jessica, where did the path go?"

"I don't know but I can smell alot of youkai."

A lesser youkai snuck in the high grass behind them and smelled the human flesh. It hadn't eaten for days so it was terribly hungry. Jessica and Kate didn't notice the stealth of the youkai and were too busy trying to find a way out of the forest. It quickly focused on the red-haired girl.

Jessica knew something was wrong when her friend arched her back and fell forward. A youkai stumbled out to claim his prize.

"You will pay for that," exclaimed Jessica as she hoisted her friend onto her shoulders and began to run.

Their kimono style shirts and levi's pant were starting to stain with blood running from Kate back as the youkai pursued them.

Lord Sesshoumaru could smell the spilt blood of an Inu-youkai getting closer.

"Jaken, stay with Rin and Aun. If any of them are injured, you will die."

Sesshoumaru began to walk in the direction of the blood. Not long two girls burst out, one carrying the other who was bleeding profusely. The girl with the brown hair began to bite at a bracelet on her wrist to pull it off after she set her friend down. The copper-haired girl was still.

"You sorry b-"

Jessica was cut off when she was swiped on the shoulder by the youkai's claws. She once again began to pull on her bracelet and it finally broke off. Her friend's bracelet turned to dust and they began to change. Jesssica's hair began to change to silver with light pink tipping and a silver rims appeared in her eyes. She didn't see Sesshoumaru standing there, comprehending the situation. Her friend's hair turned to lavender.

Jessica's youkai aura came back and her nails crystaled over. My mom's special powers, she passed it on to me, thought Jessica as she made a swinging motion. the crystals flew into the youkai. It meerly laughed.

"Let's see how much you'll be laughing when it takes full effect," she told the youkai as he realized what was happening.

The crystals began to expand and sever the youkai's insides. Before he was torn to shreds he stuck his claws into her. Her shoulder, stomach and arm were pierced. She collasped onto the ground. when she weakly turned to look at her friend she saw Sesshoumaru's boots. Her vision blurring from heavy blood loss she looked up at him.

"Inu..no..taishou?"

She collasped into unconciousness as he looked down at her.

"Jaken!"

"Y-yes milord?"

Sesshoumaru picked up the girls as Jaken made his way toward them with Aun and Rin.

"We will leave to the castle today and see taht when we get there that they get the best care and rooms."

"Yes, milord."

 

 

 

 

 

Author's Note: Okay I'm finished with this chapter but there's more to come! I had to introduce Sesshoumaru as an ass because he just stood by and watched the fight, but it's every demon to their own. Later.^-^
