Chapter Four: What More Can Happen?

 

“I can't believe the nerve of that guy! Inuyasha I hate you to death.” Kagome threw her shirt off and searched for her other clothes. “Damn him! Who does he think he is calling me a bitch!!! And that other guy what's his name Sesshomaru! Yeah him too oh your so pathetic.” Kagome mocked his tone and made a face at the thought of him. She threw on her shirt and tied her sweater around her waist almost forgetting to change her shorts. She quickly put on her jeans and looked at herself in the mirror. Her cheeks were flushed with anger and her hair was all tangled from running after the targets. She dug in her purse for a hair tie. She didn't have time to brush it so a ponytail would have to do.

 

Kagome saw Sango sitting on the floor waiting for her to come out of the dressing room. “Kagome are you ok?” Sango asked noticing the girl's flushed face. Kagome looked at Sango and smiled. “Yeah I am fine but shouldn't you be asking Inuyasha if he is ok.” The girls both laughed at the thought of the boy on the ground grabbing his cheek. “Come on we have to get to fifth period or we will be late.”

 

Sango and Kagome went their separate ways. Sango had art while Kagome had English Comp. I. Only one of the college courses she was taking. She arrived at a door that read B11. “This is it” she thought to herself. “I hope the class isn't harder then the ones at home” Since she was in a much bigger city. She opened the door and walked in to her surprise the class wasn't as big as she thought it was going to be in fact the class was much smaller then the ones at home. Only about thirty people or so. “Ah yes you must be Miss Higurashi.” A Small man about her height made his way to her. He was short, bald except a few hairs and had really big eyes that scared her to death. “I am Professor Tanaka I am very pleased to meet a fine young lady as your self. I have heard a lot about you and what an intelligent young lady you are. Is that true?” He asked eyeing her up and down making her more nervous then she already was. Kagome bowed and said “I am very grateful that you have heard such grate praise about me but I feel it depends on how much the student studies.” “Is that so….Well then I feel you would get along grate with our top student Sesshomaru.” Mr. Tanaka said pointing to Sesshomaru in the back of the roll. Kagome's eyes glared at him and he shifted in his seat to place his back toward her. “Well please feel free to take a seat anywhere, class will be starting shortly” With that the bald man walked off to his desk. “You have got to be kidding me.” Kagome said looking around the class to find only one empty seat and there it was placed right next to Sesshomaru.

 

She walked over to her seat pulled her notebook out and place her bag under her desk. She was defiantly not going to talk to this guy no matter what. Not after he had talked to her like that on the archery field. Who did this guy think he was? He's just some punk kid who thinks he is bad ass like his brother. She couldn't help but want to look at him during class. In fact she found it very hard to concentrate. He was a lot different from his younger brother. His hair was much longer then Inuyasha's and seemed to have a pure silver color instead of grey silver. His eyes seemed empty and didn't seem to have any trace of emotion. His skin was tan and yet pale at the same time. His body seemed well fit and built. Kagome couldn't help but stare she didn't realize how attractive he was. His eyes shift to her and their gazes met. Kagome burned bright red from being caught staring at him and she quickly looked away. He continued to stare at her and made her feel quit uncomfortable. “Pathetic” he whispered just enough for her to hear. Her cheeks flushed more but instead this time it was with anger. Kagome shot a glare in Sesshomaru's direction. He smirked at the flushed girl and turn to pay attention not that he wasn't but to make her think he was.

 

The bell rang and sounded that class was over and it was time for lunch. Kagome quickly grabbed her bag from under her desk and notice that Sesshomaru was already gone. Sango waited for Kagome in front of the cafeteria. “Hey how was English?” Sango asked with curiosity. Kagome stared at Sango replaying all the events in English. “You never believe who I seat next to in English!” Sango thought for a minute. Then it hit her “Kagome has college classes so the only college person I know is Sesshomaru.” “YOU HAVE CLASS WITH SESSHOMARU!!” Sango yelled freighting Kagome along with a couple of other students as well. “Sango please calm down.” Kagome said a little in embarrassed. “Oh sorry Kagome but nothing seems to be going right for you and it's your first day.” Kagome shrugged and made her way through the cafeteria. “OMG” Kagome said to herself as she walked around looking at each vending machine and lunch line that was offered to the Tokyo Private High students. “They have everything here!” Kagome said as her eyes widen with joy from all the shorts of food, deserts, drinks and snacks offered to the students. “Yeah I know, this is the one thing that really keeps me here well besides Miroku.” Kagome and Sango giggled at the image of the perverted boy in their heads. “Come on lets get some grub.” Sango said pulling Kagome to a lunch line that offered homemade buns and ramen.

 

The girls found an empty lunch table in a quite corner that they could discuss the day events without being over heard or interrupted. “So what do you think of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru?” Kagome thought of Inuyasha calling her a wench and Sesshomaru telling her that she was pathetic. “I hate both of them to death and I never want to talk to them again!” Sango smiled at Kagome for the courage she showed. The girls ate their lunch discussing their classes and how much fun they were going to have shopping Saturday. The bell sounded that lunch was over and Kagome and Sango said their goodbyes and Kagome made her way back to her dorm. “Let's see I have class at 3:00 and it's barely 1:00, so that means two hours to chill and relax. Thank god.” Kagome suddenly felt a vibration for her purse and realized it was her cell phone. Trying to grab her cell phone from her purse Kagome didn't pay attention turning the corner until she hit something smack hard.

 

Kagome hit the ground smack hard sending her stuff flying everywhere. Notebooks, pens, pencils, and other girls stuff flew all over the hall way. “I am so sorry I can't believe I wasn't paying attention I am so sorrrr…y” Kagome said looking up to find a pair of amber eyes starring down at her. There stood a very handsome Inuyasha in a pair of blue jeans and a black shirt that said `Fuck You'. “What the fuck! Can you not walk properly or what?” Inuyasha said starring down at the embarrassed girl. “I said I was sorry and you can't pay attention either. It was your fault for turning the corner so sharp!!” Kagome yelled back trying to pick up some of her things. “The least you could do is help me pick up my stuff since it was your fault!” “Me help you when you were the one who ran into me. Give me a fucking break I am not going to help your ass!” Kagome gathered the last of her stuff on the floor, stood up and glared at Inuyasha in the face and said “Inuyasha you are such a heartless ass!” Kagome quickly ran down the hall frustrated and upset. Inuyasha stood there in shock and a hurt look in his eye. “I guess I made her upset.”

 

Kagome slammed the door shut. “I hate you Inuyasha!” She threw her stuff on the couch and jumped in her bed. I guess I'll just take a nape until I have to go to class.” With that the tired girl shut her eyes and drifted off into a deep exhausting sleep.
