Back together

 

“ You sold me all that crap that you don't care and that you were angry only because I was so late. Why didn't you tell me that the kiss was that made you so mad?”

 

“Because it didn't”

 

“Why you….” she said furious closing the gap between them. Kagome grabbed him by his arms and made him turn around and face her. “When are you going to accept that the kiss really bothered you?”

 

“Never” he answered pushing her hands off him.

 

“Why would I admit something untrue?”

 

“Osuwari” she said exasperated.

 

“I'm gonna continue to say it until you admit it.”

 

“Hmpf” he said with his face close to the ground.

 

“Go ahead wench, but be careful cause when you'll be done I'll rip you to pieces”

 

“You wouldn't dare.” She ended and walked away.

 

“Oi! Wench! Where are you going?” Inuyasha yelled after her, perplex.

 

“I'm going back to camp you baka. I can't believe I actually worried about a stubborn idiot like you” Kagome yelled over her shoulder.

 

“Why you…” he jumped on his legs and ran after her. He grabbed her shoulders and turned her to face him

 

“What happened to all those warnings?”

 

“Unlike you, I can't hurt you and I know that you'll never admit something like that even if you are half dead”

 

“Keh what about you? When are you going to admit that you were kissing that guy huh?”

 

“Nani? See? You brought this up again. What about that time that I saw you kissing Kikyou?”

 

“Huh?” he said surprised taking a step back.

 

“I had a front seat to the show damn it, remember? I had to stay there and watch you say to her that you'll protect her and you were about to go to hell for her sake. Have you ever thought about my feeling every time you ran after her, or when you deliberately ignored me, when she died the second time?”

 

He stood there watching her. He thought about all those things, but of course he wouldn't tell her that. All he could do was snort.

 

“You were ready to go to hell for her Inuyasha…I can't believe this…why don't you go after her and leave me live my life? Why can't you made up your mind?” she cried looking down.

 

“You want to know why I didn't went to hell with Kikyou that day?” he said low.

 

She nodded.

 

“Because I saw you tied up to that tree and the need to protect you was far more strong that any feeling I had for Kikyou.”

 

She watched him in his eyes to see if he was telling the truth. They both blushed and stared at eachother. She took a step towards him, then another and then she wrapped her arms around him.

 

“Inuyasha” she whispered with her fists hanged on his haori.

 

“Kagome…” he said taking her in his arms.

 

He needed her so much. Whenever he saw her so vulnerable, felt the need to protect her against any evil. He would die if anything bad happened to her. He held her tighter. If only she knew that he would give his life if he would ask him to. He would give anything in this world to make her happy, to see her smile. The hanyou sighed, slowly caressing her hair. Kagome will never know, how much he was glad to see her worrying for him, how much his heart hurt, whenever she cried because of him.

 

“I'm sorry Kagome…” he said low, wanting her to know that he, somehow, cares.

 

“For what?” she asked rough.

 

“For everything.”

 

“And I'm sorry I sat you and I would apologize for the kiss too, but I didn't kiss Hojo-kun.”

 

Inuyasha smiled. He believed her now. “ I know you would.”

 

They sat like that moments or maybe there were days, none of them knew or cared. It was enough they had eachother, nothing else mattered. Kagome felt like she was walking on air. The smell of his silver hair and his warm neck so close to her lips, were making her float. Before she could realize what she was doing she touched his neck with her lips. That moment remained suspended in time. Inuyasha opened his eyes wide, surprised, while Kagome closed hers to enjoy this new sensation that was flowing through her entire body. The hanyou stood like that, not dare to move, not wanting to lose this moment or to lose that sensation of the girl's lips on his skin. He lowered his head and put his nose into her hair talking a deep breath. He loved so much the way she smelled. Kagome buried her nose in his haori and thought that she could now die happily.

“Where were you two last night?” Miroku asked suddenly.

 

Both, Kagome and Inuyasha were surprised by the question. A hint of blush appeared on their checks, while they continued to eat the fish they each had in their hands.

 

“Keh it's none of your damn business.” The hanyou said eventually.

 

Sango and the priest changed a short glance and a smile.

 

“We were worried since we wake up and couldn't find any of you.” The demon slyer added.

 

“Well you shouldn't worry for us. You know that as long we are together nothing bad can happen.” Kagome said before she could think.

 

The redness in their checks spread all over their faces now and Inuyasha stood up and walked away. Kagome wished she could do the same, but she wasn't that coward to actually leave. She continued to eat her fish without another word.

 

“There's a village near by” the priest said. “We should reach it before the sun sets”

 

“I would surely enjoy a hot bath right now.” said Kagome rubbing her shoulders.

 

“We could all enjoy one” Sango added.

 

“Keh” They all heard from the hanyou who was siting not far from them.

 

“I guess not all of us” Miroku ended and they all started laughing.

 

“We should go.” Inuyasha interrupted the joy. “We have to reach the village before dark.”

 

“Yes we should.” Added Sango.

 

“But I'm not finished eating.” Shippou complained. “Ouch…” he cried when the angry hanyou poked him.

 

“You are now.” He ended with a mischievous smile.

 

“Kagomeee!” Shippou cried jumping in her arms.

 

“Inuyasha” the girl said with a smile.

 

The boy was surprised that she didn't "sit" him. “What's wrong with her?” he thought. Then he remembered last night when they hugged and she kissed him on the neck and then they left hand in hand until they reached the camp. He smiled back almost imperceptible and he blushed just as fade. Then he looked at the small kitsune and made a face. Shippou looked surprised at Kagome then he watched Inuyasha with “hate”.

 

They all headed for the village.

“Are you sure you sense jyaki?” said the man with a suspicious face, but a little scared at the same time.

 

“Yes I'm sure” Miroku answered with a rough voice and his eyes closed, pretending to be concentrating. He stood like that for few more seconds then added: “ I will purify your house, don't worry. All I ask is some food and shelter for me and my friends”

 

The villager seemed reluctant, but his fear was far more powerful so he accepted eventually. He nodded and showed the group the way to their rooms. The priest smiled looking behind him at his shocked friends.

 

“I can't believe this works every time” Kagome said whispering to Sango.

 

She shook her head.

 

“Keh” was all that Inuyasha could say.

 

They followed the villager to a big room, with a fireplace in the middle.

 

“My daughter will bring you the food” said the man as he left. After few minutes a beautiful young girl entered the room with plates for the group. As soon as he saw her, the priest jumped right in front of the girl. She left the plates down and looked surprised at this weird hoshi. He grabbed her hands and looking in her eyes he asked:

 

“Would you like to bear my child?”

 

Right in that moment he felt Hyraikotsu hitting him.

 

“Hoshi-sama” said the demon slyer angry.

 

He started to laugh hysterically rubbing his head were Sango hit him.

 

“You just can't help yourself, can you? She added as he continued to laugh.

Kagome and Inuyasha changed a glance and they both shook their head “He's hopeless.”

 

“Baaaka!” thought Shippou as he sat down to eat.

 

They all sat and finished their dinner. No important incidents took place except when Inuyasha poked the small kitsune and stole him, his last fish. Kagome watched exasperated and said low.

 

“Osuwari.”

 

The hanyou crashed to the ground face first. No other incidents after that.

 

“Hoshi-sama don't you think you should do that purifying? You promised the man that you will” spoke Kagome.

 

He nodded and stood.

 

“I'll go with you” the demon slyer said rapidly, standing.

 

“It's not necessary” he said rising one hand.

 

“Like I'll leave a pervert hoshi like you, wonder in a house with a beautiful girl in it” she said sarcastic, with her eyes closed.

 

They both left the room. The hanyou lied on his back with a content face. Shippou and Kirara were already sleeping. Kagome stood and said low.

 

“I'll go to the hot spring, I really need a bath”

 

“Fine” the boy answered rolling and turning his back on her.

 

She wanted to say something, but seeing his indifference she left the room, heading for the spring, sighing.

 

“Why does he always acts like a baka? I was about to ask him to come with me, but I guess that's to much to ask from a damn stubborn hanyou like himself." Kagome sighed again. She took her clothes off and got into the spring. The warm water soon relaxed her and she closed her eyes to enjoy the benefits of a bath.

 

Meanwhile Miroku and Sango were in front of the house pretending to do a purifying ritual. They stood like that for several minutes then the girl whispered:

 

“Hoshi-sama, don't you think it's enough?”

 

“Just a minute Sango. We have to make them believe us.”

 

He kept his concentrating face for a few minutes more, then he ended by posting few blessed charms on the front door.

 

“Yoshi” he said “We're done now.”

 

He took several steps when he heard the girl's angry voice.

 

“Hoshi-sama our room is in the opposite direction.” Sango said with her fist clutched and eyes closed.

 

He laughed for a second as he answered “Oh yes, of course. I was just…”

 

“You were going to see that girl, weren't you? Well don't let me stop you.” the demon slyer added and headed for her room.

 

Miroku sighed then ran after her. He called Sango few times, but she didn't stop to answer. He grabbed her hand making the girl to slow down.

 

“Sango” he whispered.

 

She turned around and the priest was surprised to see that she was crying. His heart melt down. He sighed and closed his eyes, cursing himself for being such an idiot. Instead of saying anything, he pulled her hand and wrapped his arms around her. Miroku felt her trembling as she cried.

 

“Why do you always have to be such a pervert?” she said with her face buried in his shirt.

 

“I'm sorry Sango.” He spoke low with his eyes closed, as he caressed her back.

 

“You know that what I do doesn't mean anything. Those women don't mean anything to me. You should know that by now, my dear.”

 

“But it still hurts you know.”

 

“Hmm. I'm so sorry.”

 

“You are?” she asked rising her head and watched him in those lavender eyes.

 

He stared at her for few seconds, then he lowered his head closer to her face…closer…closer, until their lips were few inches away. “Yes my dear, I am.” His head lowered again, he closed his eyes and their lips touched. Sango was first so surprised, that that her eyes remained wide open. Then she closed them and let herself in the sweet embrace of the man she loved so much. Miroku slowly moved his lips, sending all kind of sensation to her body. Sango felt that she was going to lose her breath, when his tongue started to explore the interior of her mouth. All the feelings that she kept so locked inside, started bursting, tearing her soul apart. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. The need for air made them stop for a moment. They watched eachother in silence. Their hearts were beating in the same rhythm. The girl rises on her tiptoes and presses her lips against his, once again.

 

“Damn this need for air” She thought while kissing him. He tightened his hug, bringing her closer. The slow breeze caressed their hair and faces. Both souls rose above them, dancing, making them float. They stood like this minutes, hours, they didn't know. When they finally broke the embrace, Miroku pressed her head against his chest and whispered:

 

“Remember this moment my love, every time you have doubts about how I feel for you, remember this moment.”

 

She nodded. “Did he say my love, or I'm starting to imaginate things? It doesn't even matter anymore, these moments, he was mine.” She thought happy. Later they walked to their room, this time hand in hand, each thinking how lucky they were to finally, meet their soul mate.

NOTE: as you can see I chose songfic and you probably asked yourself why I never mentioned anything from a song. You'll see in my future chapters, which one I choosed to be suitable for Inu/Kag couple. Be patient ^_^. Arigato.
