The love of a friend has made these deep wounds start to mend.
Wounds of the heart which make my days cease to end.
I am so very grateful to have found this one among the hateful.
For throughout my struggles she has been there.
When some couldn't even care,
When this was just too much for me to bear.
As I began to bleed, she knew just what I would need.
For me to laugh instead of cry, and to just stay by my side.
