Chapter 6

Kagome looked at the dress that hung on her mirror in the bathroom. It was a dazzling dress and she was honored to wear it but she was nervous.

That morning when she had come to breakfast, everyone was surprised to see her and wondered where she had been. As she had made up her lie, Sango had looked at her with suspicious eyes. Now they had all left her alone.

A knock sounded on the door and Sango walked in the room.

“It truly is a beautiful dress,” Sango said. The dress was a very pale pink. The sleeves hung off of her shoulders and were bordered with lace. The dress had a v neck that showed a medium amount of cleavage. The skirt poofed out and overlapped in the back.

“I know. I love the dress,” Kagome said.

“Then what is it that is bothering you,” Sango asked. “Are you nervous?”

“In a way, I guess.”

“Is it about Hojo?” Sango asked.

“No.”

“Will you tell me?” Sango pried.

Kagome looked at her friend. “What if I were to tell you that I wasn't alone last night?”

“I would probably believe you.”

“And that all my time lately has been spent with a person who has been here the whole time but I never knew,” Kagome explained.

“Oh…Are you falling for a servant?” Sango laughed.

“No. The person I was with is not a servant. And every time I think about him my heart flips and I get butterflies. I think about him all the time, too. When I'm not with him all I want to do is be with him. I don't know,” Kagome sighed.

“It sounds like you are in love,” Sango suggested.

“Yeah, but I've only known him for four and a half days,” Kagome said.

“Does time matter?” Sango asked.

“I don't know right now. I'm so confused,” Kagome sighed.

Kagome pulled the dress off of its hanger and stepped into it. Sango came over to fasten the numerous tiny clips that lined the back of the dress. Kagome stared at herself in the tall mirror on the bathroom wall. She felt so nervous, yet she was excited. She didn't know whether to get under the covers and sleep or to go running through the halls. She had so many emotions streaming through her head and didn't know how to express them.

“I think that you look beautiful. What do you want to do with your hair?” Sango asked.

“I don't know. I want to surprise him.”

“Wait, is he coming?” Sango said.

“I think that he is but I am not sure. He said that he would surprise me so I would like to surprise him.”

“Then we are going to make you look dazzling!” Sango smiled.

Two hours later, Kagome look like more then a princess. She looked like a goddess. Inuyasha was certainly going to be surprised.

Kagome's hair was up in a curly bun and she had a few wisps of hair that were curled that hung out of the bun. Diamond gems were placed in the bun so that she shimmered whenever she moved. She wore a gold necklace with the letter “K” formed in red gold. She wore gold earrings with diamonds in them. Her cheeks were rosy and her eyes were rimed in the thinnest stripe of black, making her eyes look bigger.

“You look amazing!” Kagome's mother said, as she entered Kagome's room.

“Thank you mother,” Kagome said.

“It is time, Kagome!” Her mother smiled.

“Ok,” Kagome whispered as she scanned herself one more time in the mirror.

Kagome and her mother left her room and made their way down the hallway. The ball was to be held in the grand ballroom that was suited in the castle. The ballroom was bordered with many grand windows and was a circular room. The floor was marble and fit for dancing and the large chandelier in the center of the room cast a welcoming glow to all of the dancers. The ceiling was painted like the night sky. There were a set of double doors that lead into the ballroom from the castles entrance hall. The stairs coming from those doors were large and grand. They came in a large, upside-down “v”.

Kagome closed her eyes as her mother guided her to the doors. She would be introduced as were all of the guests. Being the host, she was to enter the room last so that she could appear to everyone at once.

As Kagome opened her eyes, she saw the doors opening before her and a bright light come from in between them.

“And here is Princess Kagome!”

Authors Note

Wow! I like my story so far and I hope that all of you do. I know that I have really short chapters but I will try to make them longer and I post them often.

Review! Please! I love reviews. I think they are just like comments on xanga and I love getting comments. I want to know how you feel about the story and if you think that its good and where you think I should go. If you think a certain thing should happen in the story then I will try to work it in.

I just finished reading the new Harry Potter. I cried so hard at the last chapter. I couldn't stop. I was not surprised with who killed the person who died because I saw it coming and I wasn't surprised by the person who died because I thought that that was coming because Harry needed more of a challenge. I loved the last two pages and how Ron and Hermione are so supportive. I don't think that Harry should have dumped Ginny thought because they were so cute together and he really loved her.

Well, yea. I will post again soon, whenever I finish the next chapter. Lol!
