Howdy everyone, how's it goin. Look there have been lots of hits to the story, but I still don't have many reviews. I can't stress how much I really want them.
The Mending Soul Ch. 3
'He would wait, He would wait.' That's what Inuyasha kept thinking to himself. 'He would wait, He wouldn't wait.' He quickly shook the idea out of his head. He had made her a promise. 'But she wasn't conscious to hear it, it doesn't matter.' Inuyasha was finding it difficult to ignore his want for Kagome. After their brief episode of passion two days ago, all he could think about was him taking Kagome as his mate. He had even left her side once to go out and pleasure himself deep in the forest, so he would be able to sleep at night without having to worry about doing something to Kagome in his sleep. He had used a reasonable excuse that was able to fool everyone, or so he thought.
It had been two days since Kagome and him had kissed. He could tell she remembered every bit of it, at the times when she was awake she couldn't even look at him without her face turning red. Along with that was the spike in her arousal. Inuyasha thought he would pass into a bliss filled daze everytime he picked it up. The worst part was that he couldn't do anything about it, that thing in the forest was a one time occurence. He didn't think that he could make up another reasonable excuse to leave Kagome's side and not raise any suspicion.
The rain had started coming down twice as hard and twice as much. The villagers were all starting to flee the village because of flooding. They were headed to the caves the town used in cases of emergency. The road to the caves was normally safe, though due to the rain not one person knew what might happen.
Kaede had first asked Sango and Miroku to help the villagers along the way. After several hours of getting ready to transport the villagers, Shippou and Kaede were also going, along with the rest of the village that was left.
Kagome was another matter. She wasn't recouperating as well as Kaede had hoped. It would take a few more days for her to be able to support herself. She was awake most of the time now, though Kaede did not want to move her in the rain and chance her catching a cold in her weakened condition. Inuyasha had told Kaede that he would stay in the hut with Kagome through the storm, if the hut couldn't take the water he could get Kagome to the caves in no time at all if he had to. Reluctantly, Kaede agreed. She knew how stubborn the Hanyou could be.

"We're finally alone," Inuyasha sighed in contentment, "I never thought we would be alone again, Kagome, just you and me."
"I didn't think we would be alone again either, Inuyasha." Kagome said a smile coming across her face. She had been feeling better, yet she had heard Kaede tell Inuyasha that she was to weak to travel to the caves. Kagome thought her body was well enough to make the trip, though she didn't mind being alone with Inuyasha.
Inuyasha leaned over to where Kagome was sitting and gently licked up and down the side of her ear making her smile again. He then worked his way across her jawline and into her mouth.
