"Well that's not quite accurate. Onigumo being born was not the problem. His meeting Kikyou was not a problem. The problem is that he got very quickly extremely jealous and hateful of Inuyasha.

If the former god of fate had not been in an extremely melancholy mood at that precise moment in time then Naraku would not have been shaped.

It is true that the god of fate's moods do affect those they are looking upon.

Thus Kikyou ultimately maintained the balance by dying with the jewel. Kaede was getting older and that with more knowledgeable demons and dark priestesses would have messed it up so Kagome was brought back in time and the rest in history.

I considered Kag/Inu, but I didn't think it was a perfect fit. I like the way things are shaping."

"You did all this to keep them on their toes, make them happy, maintain the balance and still have your own way?"

"Yes, and not necessarily in that order. Onigumo or something of the like could return IF I retire or let an overly angry or depressed mood affect my job."

Real World: Five years into the Future (yeah I know, but I'm not having a sequel and I'm not patient.)

Sesshomaru and Kagome are expecting a new member of the family in a couple of months.

Rin is now a demon and looks like Kagome. Kagome found a spell that would work to change her. She wanted to live as long as her fluffy!

Sesshomaru has been training Shippou how to rule well.

Though, Shippou and Rin always cause trouble for Jaken, Sessy, Inuyasha, and anybody else they can.

Natasha is preparing to hand over the lands to Shippou within the next few years.

She is also preparing to host the gathering and have a huge prank on the Inu bros. (With the help of Shippou. Also a HUGE PRANK on all the lords as his coronation requirement.)

Inuyasha and Kiya are an interesting story. After about a hundred or so fights, fifty comments about being like an old married couple, and a twelve dozen arguments they finally ended up courting.

They are planning on an impressive spring wedding if Kiya has anything to say about it.

They hardly live happily or serenely after all, but… They do end up highly content and as close to perfect as you can get.

I want to thank Calico! Without you hon I'd not have thought I might eventually improve.
