Chapter 5 "Embarrasing Moments And The Necklace"
Sunday morning finally came. Kagome and Sango both started waking up around 9:30. Kagome rolled over on her bed and looked at her clock. She decided to go take a shower so she could wake up a little better. Slowly she sat up and got off the bed. She walked over to her dresser and picked out her clothes for after her shower. She told Sango where the other bathroom was so she could shower as well.
While In the shower Kagome only had one thing on her mind.. Inuyasha. Why can't I get him off of my mind? I mean sure I had an awesome night last night with him and everyone else.. but I couldn't possibly like him ... could I? No no.. he's just a friend. I just like to hang out with him.
Sure ya do.. what about last night when you were cuddled in his lap didn't you enjoy that?
Huh.. well umm.. yea I guess I didn't mind being in his lap.. I was scared.. Kagome exlclaimed to herself.
Is that the only reason? You did end up falling asleep in his lap.. He didn't seem to mind in the least. Kagome's mind fought with her.
Kagome didn't know what to say... because in fact she did enjoy being with him on his lap and cuddled up in his arms.. she was completely comfortable.
Ah Ha! see I told you! You do like him more then a friend you just had to admit it to yourself.
Yea yea whatever now just SHUT UP so i can finish my shower. Kagome yelled at herself.. Mou.. now I'm yelling at myself.. I need help!
When Kagome was done with her shower she got dressed in a short jean skirt. and a black tube top. It was fall outside but Kagome still liked to wear whatever she wanted. Even in the fall it was still really warm out. She put her hair up in a messy bun with a few strands hanging down, put on her vanilla lipgloss, and put on her flipflops.
When she went into her room Sango was already ready and waiting for her. They talked a little bit a decided that they wanted to go to the mall. Now it was time to go wake the guys up.
Inuyasha and Miroku were still downstairs sleeping by the time the girls were already to go. Sango went over to Miroku and heard him mumbling something about bearing his children. Sango took off her shoe for a second and whapped him on the head with it. Miroku awoke instantly rubbing his head.Sango asked him if he wanted to go to the mall with her and Kagome.Miroku thought about it for a second. Mall = time with Sango, Mall= tons of other girls to ask to bear my children. As soon as Miroku thought of that he immediatly agreed.
Kagome walked over to her couch where Inuyasha was sleeping. She carefully leaned over him and shook his shoulder lightly. Inuyasha rolled over and still asleep and pulled Kagome down on top of him. He placed his face in her hair and nuzzled her neck. Kagome blushed 10 shades of red. Kagome tried to get back up but he just tightened his grip on her. She looked down at him and saw his ears twitch... Well I always wanted to pet them and maybe it will get him to wake up .. Kagome thought.
Kagome reached down and started to gently rub the soft furry apendages, hoping to wake him up. However, it ended up doing the exact opposite. Instead of him letting go and waking up he tightened his hold on her, buried his face deeper into her hair and neck, he even started to gently nip and lick and Kagome's neck.Kagome could even swear she heard and felt him purring. Kagome's face now couldn't get any redder. She was extremely embarrased but at the same time she e really enjoyed his minstrations. Finally after Sango and Miroku broke into histerical fits of laughter Inuyasha decided to wake up.
He kept his eyes shut while he lifted his arms up to stretch and yawn. Kagome used that chance to her advantage and jumped off of him and walked over to Sango. When Inuyasha finally opened his eyes and looked around he noticed his three friends staring at him two were still trying to hold back their giggles and Kagome was wearing an extremely red face. He knew something was up just by looking at them.
"What's up with you people? What are you laughing at and Kagome why are you so red? Do you have a fever?" Inuyasha asked innocently with a hint of curiousity to it.
Asking Kagome if she had a fever was finally what cracked Miroku and Sango. Both fell on the floor laughing their asses off. now Inuyasha was really curious as to what happened and what got them all riled up. Finally with tons of convincing and threatening Miroku told him exactly what happened. Of course not without adding a few extra peverted things to the list for which Sango smacked him each time he made something up. By the time Miroku was done Inuyasha's face matched Kagome's in redness.
"Ohh, umm , sorry Kagome, didn't have any idea what I was doing," Inuyasha said as he hung his ears low. He thought for sure that Kagome must be disgusted with him now for what he did. Him being a hanyou and all. Well I guess that blows my chance of getting to know her better and ever getting together with her Inuyasha thought with a frown. Until he heard what came out of Kagome's mouth that is.
"oh don't worry about it, I had always wanted to touch those Kawaii ears anyways, guess I finally got the chance" Kagome said with a smile.
"Do you mean that your not mad at me? After what I did and all you can say is how u wanted to touch my ears?" Inuyasha asked in shock.
Kagome smiled at him and nodded before wispering really low that If Inuyasha wasn't a half demon he wouldn't be able to hear it. He barely heard it as it was. "I actually kinda enjoyed being held and what you did."
Inuyasha's eyes opened wide when he heard her say that.. He just couldn't believe it. She actually liked it? Wow.. Maybe I do have a chance with her after all. Inuyasha thought as a faint smile made its way across his face.
Finally after all the confusion both guys agreed to go to the mall with the girls. Throughout the day Kagome and Sango would try on tons of clothes then go and model in front of the guys. When they did that both guys' jaw dropped. The girls would just giggle then go pay for their stuff. The day went by pretty quickly and soon it was time to go.
"Come on Sango i want to go see that necklace one more time before we leave" Kagome said dragging Sango into a nearby jewlry store. The guys stayed outside the store holding the girls shopping bags. Finally the two exited the store once again.
"Come on Kagome why must we always go look at that necklace? That Shikon no tama thing is the most expensive necklace in all of Tokyo I don't think anyone will ever be able to afford it." Sango whined to Kagome.
"I know I know Sango it's just I really really like that necklace I've known all about it's history for years and I think it's just too perfect. Whenever we used to visit Tokyo my mom would take me to the mall and I would always go look at the necklace. I am just glad that it's still here. If someone else ever bought it I'd be devastated. Hey Sango can you come with me to the bathroom for a minute I need to fix my hair and stuff real quick." Kagome said
Sango nodded and both girls took off towards the restroom Miroku pevertedly following right after them like a good little puppy trailing after it's master. This moment alone gave Inuyasha a chance to go check out that necklace the girls were talking about. He walked into the shop and asked the lady what necklace the two girls that were just in here gaping at. The sales clerk walked him over to a pink glowing orb with a chain around it. It was surrounded on all sides by a glass cube. It also had tons of other security features.
Inuyasha decided that he would buy it for Kagome. After all it could make up for what he did this morning, he thought. He walked back over to the sales clerk and told her he wanted the necklace. She looked at him as if he were crazy before saying.. " Im sorry son but that necklace is the most expensive anywhere.. It is priced at 2 Million Yen. Might I suggest you find one more in your price range."
"Excuse me miss but that is the necklace I want. So if you will kindly get it out and wrap it up for me I'll be on my way. By the way my name is Inuyasha Taisho" Inuyasha said with a smirk.
As soon as the clerk heard his name she immediatly said her apologys and got the necklace all wrapped up. Inuyasha was indeed rich. One of the richest. His mother and father were extremely successful business people before they died. They owned a chain of comanys all over the world. When they died they left all their money to him and his half brother Sesshomaru. The two brothers tried to hide their riches to as many as possible.They didn't want people to judge them just because they had money. So basically the only people who knew about their money was people who had heard of their parents company's.. Which meant nearly every older person and adult. Teenagers and kids had no idea. That is except one teenage ex-girlfriend of his Kikyo.. She somehow found out and he later found out that was the only reason she dated him. That was one reason why he didn't want people to know about his money. He wanted them to get to know him first.
Pulling out the 2 million yen from his pocket as if it was nothing at all he placed int on the counter in front of the clerk. Her eyes widened and she immediatly handed him the gift wrapped necklace. Inuyasha placed the necklace in his pocket and headed out the door. He would give it to Kagome eventually. He wasn;t sure when but he would know when the time was right. I just hope she doesn't start acting like Kikyo did when she found out I had money though.. he thought as he ran over to meet up with his friends who were standing by the entrance. Oh well I just hope Kagome is the person I think she is.. was Inuyasha's last thought before they headed out the door.
