Chapter 9: "Explanations"
Kagome and Sango had finally woken up and Sango was just getting ready to leave. Kagome had assured Sango a thousand times over and over that Miroku wouldn't be mad at her and wouldn't ask her to have an abortion or to put the child up for adoption. Even though the pregnancy was really unexpected and a result of alcohol.. Sango really really wanted to have this child. Kagome knew her friend would make an awesome mom. She just hoped that Miroku would act to the news in a good manor.. Kagome wasn't sure if Sango could handle any more heartbreak.
Sango could tell that kagome was trying to put on a good facade for her sake. But deep down she was hurting just as much. She wasn't sure what it would be like to find her boyfriend in a janitors closet in a liplock and feeling up another girl. Sango thought that they had something really good too. Damn Kikyo why did ths have to get involved. Man I just wish that fucking bitch could leave their relationship alone and just move on with her life, Sango thought.
As Kagome was walking Sango to the door Sango stopped in mid-stride.Quickly Sango turned around and wrapped her arms around her friend holding her tight. When they broke apart Sango thanked Kagome for being there for her through all her troubles then was about to leave when she turned around once more and said.
"Kagome please give Inuyasha a chance to explain himself. I know he would never intentionally hurt you I'm sure he must have a reasonable explanation."
Kagome nodded her head in response to Sango's request. She had already planning on hearing his explanation even if she didn't believe there was a good enough reason for her to have to see what she saw. Surely he knew just what he was doing. Why would he do it though. I thought we had something special. Kagome thought.
After Sango left Kagome went back upstairs to lay down. Even though she had already slept so much she still felt emotionally exhausted. As soon as her head touched the pillow she immediately fell asleep once more.
All Day Inuyasha felt horrible about what he had done. All he could concentrate on was Kagome and that heartbreaking voice. "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED TO SHOW ME INUYASHA.. How could you?" That same voice ringing over and over in his head. He tried unsuccessfully to get the voice out of his mind he just couldn't . He just didn't understand something. How did Kagome know where to find him if it wasn't her that wrote the note. Did she get a note too and what did it say? Unfortuanetelly there was only one person he could ask and he didn't by any means want that specific person. Inuyasha sighed as he traveled through the halls searching for Kikyo.
Inuyasha found her hanging out with Kagura and Yura.Big Surprise There! Inuyasha thought sarcastically.
" Kikyo. I need to know. Why the fuck did you write me that note and trick me into thinking you were Kagome. Also did you write Kagome a note too? If you did what did it say?" Inuyasha asked as calmly as possible given the current situation.
"Oh Inuyasha it's you! I wrote you that note because I wanted you to meet me in the closet if I had wrote my name you would have never shown up and found out how much you still care about me and want me. My plan worked exactly as it was supposed to and no I didn't write her a note someone else did however. It stated that you wanted to meet her in that closet 5 minutes after class because you had something to show her. I can just imagine what that skank is thinking now. " Kikyo said with a smirk.
Inuyasha stood in shock at her confession. Now Kagome was in total disbelief of his feelings and it was all Kikyo's fault. How could someone be so cruel. He had thought before that what he felt for Kikyo was love. But now seeing her here like this he realized that he never felt anything like the way he felt about Kagome towards Kikyo. He never felt so strongly about anyone in his life in fact. It was then that Inuyasha realized. O My God I Love her!.. I LOVE KAGOME
Inuyasha completely blew Kikyo off, he needed some time to think. He knew just the perfect place to do it too.
After Kagome woke up once more she decided she needed some fresh air. So she decided to go take a walk in the park. Besides it will help me think things through a little. I can't just stay the rest of my life in my house avoiding Inuyasha. Kagome thought as she got ready to go.
When Inuyasha made it to the park he spotted the exact thing he had come to think about . KAGOME There she was.. Sitting on one of the swings gently swinging back and forth. She looked radiant with the sunset lighting up all her features. He felt as if he should shield his eyes .. that he wasn't worthy enough to see such beauty.
Slowly Inuyasha approached her from behind watching as her hair fluttered around in the wind with every pump her legs would make on the swing. Gently as not to scare her Inuyasha started to push her . Abruptly however, Kagome got up from the swing and started to walk away from him. Inuyasha ran right after her trying to catch up to her.
"Kagome .. please let me explain it wasn't my fault I thought she was you!" Inuyasha yelled after her retreating form.
Kagome stopped and turned slowly towards him tears streaming down her face. Inuyasha looked into her beautiful brown orbs and frowned. She looked as if she had been crying all day long. He did not like being the cause of that. He loved this girl too much. Then Kagome spoke the words that officially tore his heart to shreds.
""If you were trying to find a way to break up with me you could have found a better way than Showing me! I'ts Over! Inuyasha I HATE you!" With that said she took off running back towards her shrine, tears flying out of her eyes falling on the pavement.
Inuyasha sadly looked toward the ground. A single tear trailed down from each eye and landed on the ground just as it started to rain. Inuyasha looked towards the spot where Kagome was and wispered softly before turning and heading home.
"I'm sorry that you feel that way Kagome .. cause I Love You!"
